Liu Zongyu's servant, Du He, happened to be passing through the garden when he suddenly noticed a large quantity of copper coins on the ground. Within a radius of two or three feet, the entire area was covered in them, stacked so thickly they rose more than three feet high. The coins began to shift slowly outwards, moving like a current of water. Du He was overjoyed; he thrust both hands forward and scooped up a large handful. Then, he bent low, pressing his face against the flowing river of coins, before straightening up to look around. The coins had vanished entirely, flowing away without a trace. Only the coins clutched tightly in his hands remained.
