Though Rin held back her true power, her mid-level Spirit rank made her virtually unbeatable in this world; even utilizing just a tenth of her strength was more than enough to defeat the majority of the Seikakenshi (Holy War Angels), making it seem effortless.

Under Rin's barrage attack, it was difficult enough for Shiska and the other two to even defend, let alone counterattack.

Of course, while Rin’s spell bullets were fast, they weren't overly dense, and there were brief intervals between them. Coupled with her holding back, none of the three opponents were hit for the time being.

Seizing a brief lull in Rin’s assault, Qiya rushed swiftly to Longwei’s side, urgently saying, “Longwei, let’s fuse.”

Longwei immediately nodded; if they didn't fuse now, defeat was certain. “There’s no other way. Barehanded, we stand no chance against her.”

A song-like chant rose from both their lips, followed by a dazzling flash of white light that instantly repelled all the spell bullets heading toward them. Then, the black-haired woman vanished, and in Longwei’s hands appeared two strange blades chained together.

Seeing this, Rin subconsciously frowned. “Is that person also a Seikakenshi? I was careless. If she possesses power on the same level as Lei, this will be troublesome. I really don’t want to use my Domain Barrier here… it’s going to hurt afterward.”

After their Union, Longwei and Qiya’s combat ability far surpassed what they had previously shown. In fact, this was the moment their true strength would manifest. As the twin blades swung out, Rin’s spell bullets became completely ineffective.

“Even if you are strong, our Angel Guard Corps is not that easy to deal with,” Longwei declared confidently, rushing forward quickly. A flash of blade light sliced through the barrage, and in an instant, he was before Rin, swinging down heavily.

Clang!

The defensive barrier once again did its job, blocking the attack. However, the slashing blow wasn't entirely without effect; a faint, hairline crack appeared on the barrier during the impact.

“What the heck is this strange contraption that can even block my attack?” Qiya’s phantom appeared behind Longwei, clearly shaken.

“It’s fine, the barrier is cracked. With the chant, we can cut through it easily.” As he spoke, a white light shimmered around Longwei again, the chant began, and the blade fell. Indeed, the defensive barrier could no longer hold and was cleanly severed.

Because Longwei and Qiya were fighting at their normal capacity, Rin felt a degree of pressure, giving Shiska’s group a much-needed reprieve. The machine gun chattered, pat-pat-pat, and Shiska laughed loudly, “Now you’re out of options, what a shame. Looks like you didn’t sign a contract with the Seven Luminary Treasures, you’re doomed!”

“Honestly, I’ve been holding back the entire time. Don’t say such arrogant things,” the young lady Rin retorted with a disdainful curl of her lip. Before the enemy’s attack could land, she rapidly enhanced her body and, grabbing Lei, leaped backward with lightning speed, evading the enemy’s combo.

“Then fight seriously for me!” Shiska grinned triumphantly. In her view, the opponent must have been at her limit just now; there couldn't possibly be anything left in reserve.

“Sigh, since it’s come to this, holding back seems rather pointless now.” Quickly moving Lei aside, before the attack could connect, Rin dashed forward like lightning. She didn't target Shiska, nor did she use magic, but instead engaged the fused Longwei and Qiya directly with martial arts.

“So fast!” Longwei was greatly startled. Her speed was nearly double what it had been before, almost exceeding his ability to track motion.

“Did she really hold back the entire time?” Qiya expressed disbelief.

Clang!

Dodging Longwei’s cleave, Rin’s fist struck the side of his right blade. With a loud thud, Longwei’s right blade was flung sideways. If it hadn't been secured by chains, that single punch might have knocked the weapon clear out of his grasp. Even so, Longwei grimaced; his right arm went numb from the impact, making it almost impossible to steady his weapon.

“This woman…” Qiya’s face paled in shock. She could sense that the power of that punch rivaled her own slashing attack. For a mere human to possess such devastating physical strength was unbelievable.

This was only natural. Rin’s strength wasn't limited to magic; she was a skilled martial artist herself. Back in the Sky City, she had frequently sought combat guidance from Evangeline, elevating her close-quarters capability further. When enhanced by magic, it was entirely possible for her to suppress a Seikakenshi user in close combat… though it would likely be ineffective against a user possessing the Seven Luminary Treasures.

“Damn it, who is this person?” Seeing Longwei suppressed, Shiska panicked, firing her machine gun ceaselessly.

But to everyone’s astonishment, Rin paid no attention to Shiska’s attack, focusing all her efforts on Longwei, allowing the bullets to strike her body, producing a series of ding-ding-dang sounds.

“This…” Seeing this scene, Shiska’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. Are you kidding me? Even bullets can’t penetrate her—is she even human?

“I recall someone saying they thought I was doomed. How about now?” Rin seemed to thoroughly enjoy the look of shock on the enemy’s face, smirking smugly.

“Are you some kind of robot?” Shiska exclaimed.

“Robot, my foot! I’m a perfectly decent human being!” Rin shouted back loudly.

“A decent human being can’t be unfazed by bullets! You monster!”

“How dare you call me a monster… you machine-gun girl, watch out, or I’ll punch you so hard you won’t even be able to hold that gun!” Rin sparred with Longwei while simultaneously trading insults with Shiska, appearing completely at ease.

Conversely, Longwei, her opponent, was having a miserable time. This was the first time, even in his fused state with Qiya, that he was being suppressed by a non-fused ordinary person—it was crushing. Furthermore, the opponent seemed to hold them in utter contempt. This person… truly was a monster.

“Lei, watch out!” Just then, a frantic cry from Lilia pierced the air beside them.

The four engaged in combat were instantly drawn by her voice, instinctively pausing their attacks to look toward the distance. Unbeknownst to them, dozens of masked men in black had appeared in the room, one of whom was rapidly closing in on the stunned Lei.

“No, these people are…” Shiska’s face changed drastically. She immediately turned her gun, firing at the masked assassin, but her reaction was too slow. The bullet went wide, and the assassin’s hand was already reaching for Lei’s shoulder, mere centimeters away.

“They are an illegal syndicate using Seikakenshi for crime,” Longwei warned Rin at the same moment. However, contrary to the expectations of Shiska and the others, Rin merely offered a faint smile, appearing unconcerned. “Hmph, they are truly asking for death.”

The moment the masked assassin’s hand made contact with Lei’s shoulder, Bai Rui, who had been drowsily napping on Lei’s shoulder, suddenly snapped its eyes open and let out a mighty roar.

“ROAR!” Amidst the deafening sound, everyone watched as the white ferret, initially less than a foot long, instantly transformed into a colossal beast dozens of meters high. It opened its massive maw directly at the assassin and Gula… swallowed him whole.

In that instant, everyone except Rin was dumbfounded. Swallowed? A living person swallowed by a ferret? What kind of plot twist was this? No, what was more unsettling was why that ferret suddenly became such a massive monster? Wasn't it a pet?

Shiska and the others were too shocked to speak. Lassati, who had been preparing to intervene, froze as if paralyzed, while the newly arrived black-clad assassins were equally stunned into inaction.

In the arena, the only one seemingly unaffected was Lei. Since Bai Rui had swallowed the assassin in a single instant, her naturally slow comprehension meant she hadn't grasped what happened. She simply tilted her head, looking curiously at Bai Rui, wondering why it suddenly grew so large.

“You are lucky that you weren’t using force before I arrived, aren’t you?” Rin cast a meaningful glance at Shiska and the others. Since Shiska’s group weren't Jewel Hunters, it meant the Jewel Hunters were someone else. Why would she carelessly leave Lei unguarded? Bai Rui’s protection was flawless.

Shiska swallowed hard, a chill running down her spine. She couldn't help but ask, “What was that monster?”

“Nothing much, just our pet,” Rin shrugged, affecting an air of indifference. But then she frowned quickly. “Well, although Bai Rui’s combat power is immense, if I let it continue like this, this place will probably become a river of blood. I quite like this location and can’t have it destroyed… Transform, Bai Rui!”

Although Bai Rui was Lin Luo’s contracted beast, Rin, whose life force was connected to Lin Luo, could also command it. As the words fell, Bai Rui shrank back to its ferret size, and in that time, Rin herself had swiftly rushed to Lei’s side.

“Now that the Jewel Hunter has revealed themselves, it’s time for the real show…” While everyone was bewildered, Rin suddenly let out a sinister smile. She flicked her fingers, sending several gems soaring upward. “Four Forms: Shooting Kill… Complete… Salvo!”

As the low voice faded, the gems already aloft vibrated violently, and immense magical power erupted from them. Countless spell bullets descended from the sky. Now, in this swimming pool, a rain named Spell Bullet began to fall.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

It was a completely indiscriminate bombardment. Virtually no part of the swimming pool, save for the small patch where Rin stood, was spared from the spell bullets. Lounge chairs exploded, pool water splashed everywhere, and glass fixtures shattered. In the very first wave, nothing in the room remained intact; it was utterly devastated.

The people standing in the room were aghast. Who could possibly evade an attack like this?

Even though the black-clad assassins were skilled, how could they withstand a barrage attack comparable to that of the Eastern Loli Brigade? With mournful screams, a large number instantly collapsed. Only Shiska and her group could barely hold on—though this was partly because Rin had exercised control, reducing the intensity directed toward them. For instance, Lassati and Lilia received almost no attacks.

After this violent barrage lasted for several tens of seconds, all the black-clad assassins were wiped out; not one could remain standing. All lay on the ground, legs trembling, foam flecking their lips. Even Shiska’s group, due to Rin’s “special attention,” were forced to their knees, nearly exhausted.

“Oops, I didn’t quite control the output, seems I overdid it a bit, a failure.” When the attack ceased, Rin subconsciously glanced at the ravaged surroundings, blushing slightly, and nervously fiddled with the iconic twin-tails on her shoulders as she spoke… This was undoubtedly feigned cuteness.

Hearing her words, the five still-conscious people felt several black lines appear above their heads. They no longer knew how to react.

Shiska and the others exchanged glances, gulping nervously, as they simultaneously thought: Compared to this person, who exactly is the normal one?

“Alright, the extraneous elements have been dealt with. Now, let’s settle the dispute within our group,” Rin said, her face blooming into a smile as her gaze returned to Shiska and her group.

Shiska shivered, realizing that after years of picking fights, they had finally kicked an iron plate. The threat posed by this twin-tailed girl might even surpass that of the Seven Luminary Treasures.

“In summary, the culprit must be someone possessing a Seikakenshi,” Lin Luo delivered his final conclusion regarding the murder of Chairman XX, still standing at the homicide scene.

“Seikakenshi?” Queen C.C questioned, though she had been in this world for nearly half a month, she remained completely unaware of the Seikakenshi race.

“Miss C.C doesn't know yet?” The Captain nearby looked equally puzzled. Upon receiving her negative answer, he explained, “The Seikakenshi are a very unique race. They can fuse with humans to become weapons and fight. Judging by our analysis, only a user of a Seikakenshi could achieve what was done.”

This was logical; ordinary weapons simply couldn't inflict that level of damage… Although Lin Luo had known this from the start, he couldn't waste the opportunity to form a famous detective duo with Queen C.C.

“So the problem now is finding the Seikakenshi?” A bystander frowned and asked. This was a troublesome task, as those possessing a Seikakenshi were not individuals ordinary people could handle.

“This matter is completely handled; C.C and I will take care of it,” Lin Luo immediately volunteered, even pulling Queen C.C along. “At this point, the target is unlikely to have left this ship, so searching will be much easier. You all don't need to worry.”

“Why do I have to come with you? I never said I wanted to team up with you,” C.C glared expressionlessly at Lin Luo.

Lin Luo chuckled, about to say something, when several staff members suddenly ran down the corridor, looking panicked. “Captain, bad news! A massive battle just broke out in the swimming pool! The fighting was extremely intense, and the culprit is a Seikakenshi!”
