"Ding! Identity authentication complete. Current target C.C is the host of the Thirteenth World Heart: The Heart of Wisdom."

Name: C.C Race: Human. Status: Normal. Physical Strength: S Spiritual Strength: S World Heart: Heart of Wisdom (Number Thirteen, Form: Silence) World Heart Level: Sealed Overall Power Level: Spirit Rank Mid-Tier. ...

C.C was actually C.C. Lin Luo had long suspected that this world would feature a World Heart host, and that it was highly likely to be the green-haired girl he glimpsed briefly outside the cabin that morning, but he never imagined this girl would be C.C.

Lin Luo was intimately familiar with C.C—a formidable, queenly figure, a blend of witch and angel, whose temperament and appearance were nothing short of perfection. Because the bodies bonded with World Hearts were almost always girls from two-dimensional media, Lin Luo had often fantasized about C.C appearing, but now that she was truly here, a sense of unreality washed over him... While this was partly due to her aura, the larger reason likely stemmed from himself.

Furthermore, C.C's attributes were a considerable surprise to Lin Luo. Spirit Rank Mid-Tier—this was in no way weaker than Mikoto or Rin, who had already endured several major battles. And both her core attributes were S-rank; among everyone he knew, only the immortal vampire, Evangeline, could match her.

Two words: monstrous... no further explanation needed.

But upon deeper reflection, it made perfect sense. Physical Strength didn't refer to the toughness of the flesh, but rather the body's damage immunity. C.C, known as the undying and immortal witch, like Evangeline, could not die regardless of how grievously her body was wounded; in their respective worlds, almost no one could kill them.

Perhaps the only one who could kill Evangeline was the Creator who bestowed her immortality upon her, whereas C.C could only be killed by herself. In this regard, C.C's immortality seemed to surpass even Evangeline's.

Besides her eternal youth and immortality, she possessed the ability to be loved, and like Shokuhou, the power to transmit impactful illusions via mysterious radio waves, along with telepathy and various other terrifying capabilities like probing others' minds. But the most monstrous ability of all... she could grant others GEASS.

Lacking direct combat prowess for frontal engagement, this array of powers was comparable even to the True Ancestors from the Nasuverse. Although C.C didn't appear overly powerful in her original story, the reason wasn't an inability to fight; it was simply that she had no desire to engage, as her ultimate wish could never be achieved through combat.

C.C's appearance indeed startled Lin Luo. Naturally, this shock flickered across his face only for a moment before he returned to normal, though a slight curiosity lingered, as C.C showed no reaction upon seeing him, acting completely indifferent.

Does she not recognize me? Is she unaware of my existence? Is it only in the God War World that other hosts become known to one another?... While a touch of disappointment settled in his heart, Lin Luo decided not to reveal himself directly. Letting things unfold naturally seemed better, and this was not the opportune moment. He would pretend not to know her.

"Captain, is she the one who can investigate this matter?" One of the loudest onlookers pointed at C.C, voicing his discontent again. "What can a mere slip of a girl accomplish? The Chairman's death is no laughing matter!"

C.C spared him a faint glance and remained silent. The Captain also held his tongue, but the other crew members couldn't stand it. A dozen staff members glared at the heckler... Insulting their goddess required nothing less than death as atonement.

"Uh, if you all think she's capable, then I... I suppose I have no issue either," the man stammered, unable to bear the murderous gazes of more than ten people, instinctively yielding to the immense pressure.

"Hmph." With a slight, angry snort, the staff members’ looks remained intensely unfriendly toward the man. It was easy to imagine that this onlooker would have a rather uncomfortable few days ahead.

Seemingly unconcerned with the drama behind her, C.C walked into the room, glanced at the two corpses on the floor, and stated, "These two individuals died less than fifteen minutes ago. Their cause of death appears to be direct penetration of the abdomen by a barbed, blunt instrument."

"What evidence supports that?" someone inquired again.

"The time of death can be estimated from the degree of blood coagulation and the rigor mortis of the body. As for the cause of death..." Here, C.C crouched before the two corpses, pointing at the wounds that would make an ordinary person retch just by looking. The girl remained perfectly composed. "Most of the upper body bones on both corpses are completely pulverized, suggesting a single, fatal blow. This is usually the work of a large blunt object. However, the large holes in their chests could not have been made by a blunt instrument. Moreover, much of the internal viscera has been pulled out. Clearly, when they were struck, the flesh and bone of their chests were ripped away along with their organs—this suggests a hooked weapon. Therefore, the conclusion is a blunt instrument with barbs."

For a moment, the surrounding noise ceased. The onlookers who had previously doubted the girl dared not show any further contempt. This was not just because of her coherent analysis, but more so because of the unflinching calm and composure she displayed when facing the corpses. Not many people, let alone a girl barely sixteen or seventeen, could manage that; it was clear this young woman was no ordinary person.

Of course, Lin Luo was not surprised by this at all. Environment shapes the individual. The world C.C inhabited had already predetermined her extraordinary nature. As an undying and immortal witch, she was long accustomed to death—not just the death of others, but her own "deaths" countless times—making her view fatality with serene detachment.

"Then what about the killer? Since the time frame was so short, the killer couldn't have left easily. And only one person was here earlier, so it must be him." The onlooker pointed at Lin Luo once more.

Lin Luo merely shrugged, unconcerned. C.C's appearance had lifted his spirits considerably; the chatter of these mortals was nothing more than an amusing distraction to him.

C.C rose, fixed her gaze on Lin Luo for a moment, then shook her head and stated calmly, "It wasn't him."

As soon as the words fell, someone behind her immediately challenged, "Why not?"

C.C replied unhurriedly, "If he were the killer and caught red-handed, his inner state would certainly fluctuate. But I sense no tension or unease from him. His tranquil—nay, even relaxed—mood suggests he's watching this as mere entertainment."

"Inner state? How can one sense such a thing?" The man scoffed, but this remark once again drew the ire of the crowd. Several nearby staff members immediately shouted, "If Miss C.C says she can sense it, then she can sense it!"

The man startled, remembering he had to remain on this ship for several days and couldn't afford to offend these people. He quickly amended, "Fine, even if that's true, then how do you explain his presence here?"

C.C smiled faintly. "Sir, you are also present here. Should I suspect you are the murderer?"

"Uh..." The man was instantly speechless.

At this point, the Captain stepped forward and addressed C.C. "Then, regarding the matter of the murderer, Miss C.C, could you lend further assistance in the investigation?"

"No problem," the girl nodded.

"Thank you for the trouble."

"It's nothing; you've taken good care of me before, Captain," the girl replied, shaking her head. She then bent down again, but before she could act, Lin Luo stepped forward and said to her, "Um, allow me to help. It's not a good sight for a young lady to be examining corpses."

"Are you trying to destroy the evidence?" the onlooker taunted again.

"Do you believe I won't toss you into the sea to feed the sharks?" Lin Luo glared fiercely at him. Daring to interrupt his budding connection with Queen C.C was practically courting death. He unleashed a wave of killing intent that instantly made the other man tremble so violently he couldn't speak.

With Lin Luo's current power, the released killing intent was certainly enough to kill an ordinary person. If he hadn't retracted it quickly, the man would have nearly soiled himself and lost the ability to care for himself.

This display silenced any further heckling. Although Lin Luo’s killing intent wasn't aimed at everyone, it was overwhelming for ordinary people, akin to the presence of a ferocious beast.

In the immediate vicinity, the only one unaffected by the murderous aura was probably C.C. She glanced at Lin Luo, nodded slightly, and said, "If you insist, I have no objection."

"Yes, I'm happy to help," Lin Luo grinned foolishly, then knelt beside the girl. Although he wasn't a Conan Edogawa, nor did he possess C.C's talent for analyzing corpses, playing the role of a consulting detective occasionally wouldn't be too difficult.

After a quick scan of the two bodies, in less than a moment, Lin Luo reached a very crucial conclusion, stating gravely with a serious expression, "Hmm, judging by the exposure of the corpses, this adulterous couple..."

At this, several angry glares immediately converged on him. Lin Luo coughed, and to avoid inciting a wider uproar, he quickly amended, "Alright, this so-called Chairman and his paramour were slain while engaging in some... extracurricular activities. A fitting end, indeed."

Lin Luo couldn't help but sigh at the misfortune of being interrupted right before climax—truly pathetic.

"..." The anger level of the onlookers instantly shot through the roof.

"Be serious," C.C glanced at him casually and stated flatly.

"Understood." Since it was the Queen's command, he naturally had to obey. Lin Luo solemnly guaranteed it.

As Lin Luo and C.C played the roles of consulting detectives, over by the swimming pool, Miss Rin and the naturally inclined Lei also encountered some minor complications... their respective subplots began to unfold.
