From the dismissive and scornful attitudes of these so-called experts, Wang Zhuo saw clearly that their words were mere formalities; they weren't listening to a word of advice. If Anqi continued to follow their treatment plan, she would truly lose her life!

Never mind that Anqi was only running a fever now, without other complications, but as time wore on, the damage caused by her critically low blood counts would gradually worsen. If her platelet count remained low for a period, purpura and mucosal bleeding would appear. Leukopenia would leave her body defenseless, susceptible to numerous infections. Low hemoglobin would cause anemia and oxygen deprivation, simultaneously burdening her heart and liver—in short, the hidden dangers were plentiful.

If this state persisted for a time, organ failure would set in. Even if she managed to pass the fever hurdle and the immune hurdle, she would ultimately collapse at the stage of failure.

In essence, finding the root cause early and initiating targeted treatment immediately was Anqi’s only chance for survival. Every minute now was precious; an earlier diagnosis meant earlier treatment!

“How much time will your consultation require?” Wang Zhuo asked, his patience wearing thin, his voice deep.

The leading expert also showed a flash of impatience. “Who can say how long such a thing takes? Young man, stop asking needless questions and let us get in there to consult on the patient,” he finished, pushing Wang Zhuo aside and leading the way toward the ward door.

Ward 4B was filled with complex medical machinery and monitoring equipment. Coupled with Anqi’s immune dysfunction resulting from her low white blood cell count, her body lacked antibodies and was easily infected by various diseases. Therefore, everyone except medical staff was barred from entry, only able to observe through the glass wall. But Wang Zhuo had no intention of wasting any more time arguing with these incompetent doctors. He gave a quick instruction to Qi Fei and headed straight for the doctors' office himself.

With a sweep of his Clairvoyant Eye, he located a refrigerator unit housing various pathological samples from multiple patients—Anqi’s blood sample was prominently among them.

Striding to the coat rack on the wall, he picked up a white lab coat, flipped it, and retrieved a slender hairpin used by a female doctor from the collar. Amidst the surprised stares of the doctors and family members in the office, he twisted the hairpin a few times, walked to the refrigerator unit, and inserted it into the lock of the cabinet door.

Since reasoning with those fools was impossible, he decided to take action himself!

“Hey?! What are you doing?” a doctor managed to call out, but Wang Zhuo had already picked the lock on the refrigerated unit. He opened the door, pulled out a drawer, and swept his palm across a rack of test tubes, extracting the one originating from Anqi.

Immediately, a male doctor rushed forward to stop him. Li Mengling and a female bodyguard stepped up, while Wang Zhuo moved to block, separating the male doctor from himself.

The scarlet blood specimen felt cool to the touch. Wang Zhuo found an insulated box inside the refrigerator, placed the tube within it, and turned to leave.

The male doctor struggled to push past Li Mengling and the bodyguard, feeling like he was hitting a wall. Frustrated, he yelled at the top of his lungs, “Security! Call security! Someone is causing trouble, medical disturbance!” Just then, Xu Chu arrived with an administrative leader from the hospital—this was the highest authority Xu Xinhang could remotely mobilize in this hospital. After all, the Second General Hospital was a Grade-A tertiary facility; even a department head held considerable power. Old Xu, while influential, couldn't command a Vice President or anyone higher up.

However, a single administrative leader was enough for Wang Zhuo. As the leader eyed the insulated box in Wang Zhuo’s hand with suspicion, Wang Zhuo cut straight to the chase: “Director Huang, I need you to arrange a laboratory equipped with a high-power microscope for me—the best available. Right now.”

“Uh…” Huang Junqiang immediately looked troubled. Even without asking for a reason, this request was hard to fulfill. Every lab had a supervisor, the procedures were strict, and lending it rashly to an outsider would invite trouble if higher-ups found out!

“If I break something, I’ll buy you a whole new lab!” Wang Zhuo’s gaze was piercing, commanding.

Huang Junqiang seemed to see an irresistible force in his eyes; his hesitation vanished instantly. He nodded vigorously and said, “Follow me!” In no time, he led Wang Zhuo to a pathological analysis lab. On the way, he had already contacted the person in charge of the lab by phone. In the medical field, dealing with emergencies often required swift action, giving the sector a decisive, no-nonsense momentum.

Seeing Wang Zhuo skillfully prepare a blood smear, quickly set up the microscope, and place the slide on the stage, Huang Junqiang realized this young man was also a peer.

Yet, he couldn't agree with Wang Zhuo’s actions. So many experts and seasoned doctors hadn't found the cause, yet this youngster was rushing around, obtaining samples, borrowing labs, and preparing for microscopic observation—what results could possibly come of it?

“Xu Chu!”

Wang Zhuo, still meticulously operating the microscope, suddenly spoke without looking up. “Go bring all those experts here, immediately!” He stressed the word ‘experts’ heavily, clearly laced with anger and contempt. Xu Chu acknowledged him, hurried out the door, and immediately broke into a jog.

This girl is diligent, Wang Zhuo thought, nodding subtly. He retracted his Clairvoyant Eye, saved a video segment just captured by the electronic microscope, and continued filming.

Thirty seconds later, Xu Chu called back: the experts refused to come, denouncing her request as nonsense.

His Clairvoyant Eye pierced through the hospital building. He saw Qi Fei and Xu Chu trying to placate the experts, speaking politely, but the experts remained unmoved, their faces full of disdain.

Wang Zhuo’s brow furrowed. He finally decided not to rely on these merely famous experts. There were thousands of experts in the world; if this group wouldn't help, he would find another!

“If only I had three heads and six arms,” he muttered with a wry smile. He pointed to the computer next to the electronic microscope and instructed Siyuan, who was closely shadowing him, “Save those photos and videos I just took. I’ll need them at any moment.”

Huang Junqiang hesitated, wanting to speak. Letting such a young girl operate the hospital’s dedicated computer—did she even know how to use it?

This electronic microscope was connected to a specialized computer running a deeply customized open-source system, completely different from mainstream platforms on the market. Furthermore, the file formats were not entirely compatible, posing a certain technical barrier.

But expertise was specialized. If Wang Zhuo asked Siyuan to film viral erosion of cells under the microscope, she likely couldn't do it. However, when it came to dealing with a computer, that was using the right tool for the right job!

Having delegated the task, Wang Zhuo immediately took out his phone and called Ma Dehai, the Vice President of Hongyuan Medical University.

The Affiliated Hospital of Hongyuan Medical University was also a Grade-A tertiary comprehensive hospital, on the same level as the Second General Hospital. That was Wang Zhuo’s home base: saving Zeng Yan had happened there, the clinical trials for the hair removal agent were conducted there, and Li Mengru’s wrist had been sutured there after her suicide attempt.

The experts at the Second General Hospital had thoroughly chilled Wang Zhuo’s heart; transferring Anqi to the Affiliated Hospital was now imperative.

Huang Junqiang listened as Wang Zhuo settled the transfer matter in just a few sentences. He truly couldn't figure out what this young man named Wang Zhuo was playing at. Treating illness wasn't about behaving like this; one needed to trust doctors and science, provide the patient with a stable environment, and cooperate actively with the treatment.

“Copied,” Siyuan announced clearly, stopping her dizzying manipulation of the keyboard.

Wang Zhuo nodded to her, then told Huang Junqiang, “Director Huang, please help me prepare a vehicle for the patient transfer.” Huang Junqiang solemnly agreed, thinking to himself, Let him transfer if he wants; I’m glad not to have such a difficult person around anyway.

Wang Zhuo caught the look of indifference in his expression and let out a light chuckle. “Director Huang, I recorded several microscopic videos. They haven’t been deleted from the computer. You might as well take a look and try playing them back at ten times speed.”

With that, he waved at Siyuan and strode away.

Huang Junqiang shook his head, finding Wang Zhuo’s grandstanding distasteful, but out of sheer curiosity, he walked to the computer and opened one of the microscopic recordings.

However, his expression of disdain quickly solidified on his face, because the image clearly showed two red blood cells close together. When they separated, one was damaged, and the surface of the other was covered by a transparent, colorless cellular body that slowly merged into the interior of the blood cell!

A virus!

Huang Junqiang’s heart jolted, and for a moment, he stood there stunned!

The high-fever patient was hastily transferred away, her family belligerently taking all her examination reports and everything related to her condition.

The experts who had convened for the consultation were discussing how many more days the patient could survive under the care of her maniacal family when someone notified them that the hospital director was waiting for them in the small conference room on the top floor.

They didn't know what it was about and weren't particularly concerned as they went upstairs. Upon entering the conference room, they saw Director Huang Junqiang, who had appeared with the transferred patient's family moments before.

“Look at this,” the Director said without preamble, activating the conference room’s projector. The room instantly darkened, and an image was projected onto the white screen in front.

Half an hour later, Anqi had been safely delivered to Ward 4B of the Affiliated Hospital. Her treatment standard here was immediately elevated; even a Vice President of the Affiliated Hospital rushed over to see her.

The expert team here was far more impressive than the one at the Second General Hospital, with professors and researchers from the Medical University specializing in hematology and virology arriving in force.

It wasn't that Wang Zhuo's influence extended that far, but rather because the virus found inside Anqi was one never before seen in the world.

Furthermore, Wang Zhuo had used his Clairvoyant Eye to observe Anqi during the transfer; he had discovered a small number of the same virus particles within her blood.

This meant the virus was contagious!
