All this time, beauties, as a world-class scarce resource, possessed everything wonderful, utterly captivating, and endlessly suggestive, stirring the very depths of desire... Beautiful appearances, graceful demeanor, distinct tones of voice, adorable expressions—everything about them set the blood racing.
Yet, someone was now actively spoiling this beautiful image, an unforgivable act, even though the one damaging the image was a beauty herself... On a stretch of grass, three women, whose looks and temperament were top-tier, were ravenously devouring a large pile of food before them.
Their movements were far from elegant, their tones lacked any distinctiveness, and their expressions were devoid of charm.
“Are you three being dragged in by a starving ghost?” Watching the scene, Evangeline finally couldn't help herself, frowning as she spoke. “And you call yourselves noble young ladies? I daresay even savages are better behaved than you.”
“We haven’t eaten for nine days. We can’t worry about such things right now,” a girl with twin tails looked up and said, before burying her face back into her meal. The other two didn't even lift their heads, merely grunting in acknowledgement.
“You know, eating like this might actually make you burst,” Mikoto commented wryly. She truly didn't want to see these three, who had barely managed to survive emerging from the Scroll World, die from something as ridiculous as overeating.
“It’s fine, I absolutely won't die. I’m very confident about that.”
“Hmph, what I’ve absorbed before was far more substantial than this food.”
“Even if I’m stuffed, it’s not a big deal. At worst, I can just rewrite myself.”
Hearing these declarations, Evangeline and Mikoto exchanged a glance, falling into silence. Meanwhile, Lei sat nearby, idly drawing circles on the ground with a twig, watching the others with genuine curiosity, utterly guileless.
Suddenly, Evangeline sat up from the ground. She walked over to where Lin Luo lay, crouched down, and lifted one of his hands directly to her mouth...
“Wait, what are you doing?” Mikoto was startled and rushed over, quickly blocking her mouth.
“Why, dining, of course. Seeing how enthusiastically they’re eating, I’ve gotten a bit hungry myself,” Evangeline declared matter-of-factly, pointing at the three still wolfing down their food.
Mikoto was utterly dumbfounded. She felt this golden-haired loli truly couldn't be judged by normal standards. “If you’re hungry, go eat something else. Aren't there plenty of other foods over there?”
“Are you an idiot?” Evangeline shot Mikoto a deeply disdainful glare. “I’m a vampire, you know.”
“Vampires don't have to drink blood, do they? Didn't you say you used to eat human food before?” Mikoto retorted.
Evangeline sighed, then asked with complete self-assurance, “Let me ask you this: if you had a plate of exquisite delicacies right in front of you and a plate of wild greens, which would you choose to eat?”
“Hmm, well... probably the delicacies,” Mikoto thought for a moment and answered truthfully. She really couldn't lie about that question.
“Then there you have it,” Evangeline grabbed Lin Luo’s hand and waved it in front of her, grinning widely to reveal her two sharp fangs. “This guy’s blood tastes exceptionally good. To me, it’s the ultimate delicacy. There’s no reason I should pass up a feast to eat garbage food, right?”
“Uh, but...” Mikoto suddenly found herself speechless. Indeed, generally speaking, anyone would choose pleasure; who would willingly pick the inferior option when the superior one is available?
“So, stop holding me back.” Evangeline violently shook off Mikoto’s hand and brought Lin Luo’s hand to her mouth, biting down.
“No, absolutely not!” Mikoto struck with lightning speed, blocking Evangeline’s mouth once more. “He’s currently cultivating in the Scroll World. What if something dangerous happens if you suck his blood like this?”
“How could that happen? He can’t sense his physical body right now. Even if you chopped him into one hundred and eight pieces, it wouldn’t matter,” Evangeline offered a terrifying analogy.
Mikoto couldn't help but say, “I think your statement has some major issues.”
“Oh? So what do you want to do? Do you want to substitute for him?” Evangeline suddenly smiled cunningly. “Well, although your blood doesn't taste particularly good—it’s probably about the same as ramen—it’s still a slight step up from garbage food. If you want to take his place, I suppose that could work.”
“You mean, drink my blood?” Mikoto instinctively frowned. Evangeline’s words made her feel vaguely uneasy.
Evangeline stated, “Since you’re unwilling, I suppose I’ll have to drink his.”
“Fine, fine, go ahead and drink mine. I’m not going to turn into a vampire anyway.” Knowing Evangeline wouldn't give up regardless, Mikoto hesitated repeatedly before finally extending her hand toward the other girl.
“Mmm...” Evangeline gave her a brief look, then suddenly surged forward, pushing Mikoto onto the ground with blinding speed, grasping both of Mikoto’s arms.
“You... what are you doing? Why are you leaning on me?” Mikoto instantly panicked, her face flushing crimson. She immediately tried to escape as an arc of electricity, but to her shock, she found she couldn't elementalize under the vampire's restraint.
“Sucking blood,” Evangeline sneered, showing her two sharp fangs. “Don’t think you can escape my grasp even if you can elementalize. Since I’m the one who taught you that move, it naturally can’t be stronger than mine, can it?”
“Even if you’re going to suck blood, there’s no need to do it like this, and why not the hand?” Mikoto struggled, her face flushed, but she was at a decisive disadvantage in every aspect of strength and couldn't possibly escape the grasp of this eternally young loli.
“Silly girl, vampires biting the neck is normal, isn't it?” Evangeline extended her tongue to lick her lips and said so.
“B-but didn't you bite my hand last time?” Mikoto grew anxious. Her current position made it very easy to associate the situation with less savory scenarios.
“Last time was last time; how can they be compared? Stay still now, or I might bite the wrong spot, and I won't be responsible,” Evangeline polished her two fangs with her tongue; she was ready to strike.
“Mmm...” Hearing this, Mikoto dared not move. Seeing the other girl’s mouth drawing nearer, she instinctively squeezed her eyes shut, steam visibly rising from her head.
The others nearby could see everything happening. When they saw Evangeline push Mikoto down, they all froze. The ones eating stopped, the one drawing circles stopped, and all four pairs of eyes stared fixedly, the atmosphere instantly freezing over.
Rin, Muten, and Shokuhou exchanged glances, their eyes communicating: What is going on here? Could it be that between the time we were gone, these two developed a story that must be told?
They completely ignored the conversation between Mikoto and Evangeline.
It’s highly likely, one thought conveyed through Shokuhou’s eyes. After all, they are both flat-chested lolis; it’s normal for them to have mutual affection... She was immediately met with a glare full of envy and resentment from Rin.
Shokuhou gave a dry laugh and communicated back with her eyes: I wasn't talking about you.
Muten signaled with her eyes for them to stop arguing, then exchanged glances with the other two before looking toward Lei nearby. Her look implied: Isn't there someone here who knows the clearest answer?
The other two immediately understood. Although they were cultivating in the Scroll World, Lei had been outside the whole time, so she would certainly know best what had happened out here.
Thus, the three pairs of eyes focused on Lei.
Lei tilted her head, several question marks flashing above her brow. However, she was quite experienced. After grasping the meaning behind their gazes, she shook her head and blinked, indicating: I don't know either. I sleep a lot these days.
What about when you aren’t sleeping? The three continued to inquire with their eyes.
When I’m not sleeping, I space out. Lei replied telepathically with her eyes.
It seems no information can be extracted from this naturally airheaded girl. The three exchanged glances again, deciding they needed to see things for themselves, and turned back toward the entwined Evangeline and Mikoto... Because all their attention was focused through their eyes, their ears were temporarily deaf—well, perhaps.
If things continue developing at this pace, what will the outcome be? Rin asked the others with her eyes.
It should be very beneficial for us, Shokuhou replied, blinking her eyes with a hint of cunning.
At that moment, a calculation formula appeared simultaneously in the minds of the three: Mikoto and Evangeline in a yuri situation equals two fewer rivals... Excellent!
Rin was overjoyed and signaled with her eyes: Good, this is the moment we should support them mentally.
Muten nodded in agreement, blinking as she asked: Then, should we move a little further away now, so as not to disturb them and ruin their good thing?
Shokuhou blinked forcefully, conveying: That makes sense, but if we leave and accidentally startle them, wouldn't that be even worse?
In the end, the three unanimously decided: Stay here silently and spectate.
Nearby, Lei’s gaze kept shifting between the two groups, and she felt that none of these people were entirely normal.
At this point, Evangeline and Mikoto were gradually reaching their climax. The two fangs were pressed against Mikoto’s fair neck, and Mikoto’s eyelashes trembled slightly, betraying her inner tension and unease.
“What are you two doing?” Just as Evangeline was about to bite, a surprised voice suddenly rang out from nearby.
Evangeline’s movement froze instantly, and Mikoto instinctively opened her eyes, looking toward the source of the sound. She saw that Lin Luo had woken up at some unknown point and was staring blankly at them.
The two were stunned into silence.
On the other side, Rin, Muten, and Shokuhou sighed in disappointment, their faces etched with regret, before rubbing their eyes with their hands.
“Damn it, my eyes hurt so much.”
“Lin Luo.” Finally, it was Lei. The moment she saw Lin Luo awake, she immediately dropped the twig she was holding and ran excitedly toward him.
