A merchant from Qingzhou, perpetually on the road, often went years without returning home. His wife, left in solitude and loneliness, kept a white dog, with whom she eventually began to couple. Over time, the white dog, without any external tutelage, learned the motions and became accustomed to sleeping with her.
One day, the merchant returned and lay with his wife. The white dog suddenly burst into the room, leaping onto the wooden bed. Its ferocity erupted; it savaged the merchant with its teeth until he was dead. The neighbors, upon hearing the news, were indignant and beat the drum in the public hall to seek justice for the merchant.
The County Magistrate dispatched his subordinates to escort the woman for questioning. The woman staunchly refused to confess. The Magistrate, utterly confident, first had the woman locked in the jail, while simultaneously ordering the yamen runners to bind the dog with ropes and bring it to the hall, whereupon the woman was released from the lockup.
The moment the white dog saw the woman, it howled mournfully, rushing forward to bite and claw her with practiced movements. It swiftly tore her clothing apart, clearly intending to couple with her.
With the evidence so damning, the woman was overwhelmed with shame and could only confess and submit, having nothing left to say.
The Magistrate concluded the case on the spot, ordering the yamen runners to escort the woman to the Governor's yamen to receive her punishment. The two runners led the woman and the dog through the bustling streets, each attending to their charge. Innumerable commoners, having heard the news, flocked to watch the spectacle. The runners seized the opportunity to profit, collecting ten copper coins from all who wished to observe the sexual congress between the woman and the dog; those signing up arrived in an endless stream.
Later, both the woman and the dog were sentenced and were ground to pieces inch by inch beneath the executioner's blade.
In this vast world, strange things abound, and surely this woman was not the only one to engage in bestiality with a creature bearing a human face.
