When they left the barbecue restaurant, Wang Zhuo carried Qi Fei's bag for her while constantly blocking a stubborn spot that refused to be tamed.
The real purpose was concealing embarrassment rather than carrying luggage.
Some women blame men as creatures driven by their lower halves, yet they rarely understand male physiology. Sometimes circumstances truly leave them no choice. For example now - after rinsing with cold water in the restroom, Wang Zhuo still had to angle it sideways against his abdomen to minimize visibility. Subduing it was impossible; its obstinacy rivaled a mule's temperament.
The situation improved once they entered the car. Qi Fei drove while Guan Yingying chatted from the passenger seat. With Wang Zhuo in the backseat, things felt much more comfortable - except Siyuan kept stealing glances at him with curious eyes that made his neck prickle.
Dropping off Guan Yingying, Wang Zhuo managed to shift focus away from his predicament.
"By the way," he asked Siyuan suddenly, "does your software update include external modifications?"
"One minor update costs three thousand, bigger ones we can discuss later." She fished two lollipops from her pocket and offered one hesitantly, "Want some?"
Wang Zhuo shook his head, then inquired, "How long would a minor update take?"
She returned the lollipop to her pocket with an exaggerated gesture before unwrapping hers. "Half a workday, though I doubt it'll take more than three hours."
The boy nodded appreciatively, marveling how prodigies effortlessly turned talent into profit - quite different from his own high school days playing pool for meager meal rations. Compared to this clever child, he suddenly felt like an ancient relic.
Siyuan's cheeks still carried the faint flush of alcohol, though her lips retained a vivid redness rivaling any luxury lipstick. Now she balanced her legs rhythmically on the dashboard, swaying to music while occasionally tugging at her lollipop stick to make it move in and out of her mouth. Wang Zhuo found himself drawn into pleasant associations that made his thoughts scatter until...
Suddenly catching his eye, Siyuan spun around with a mischievous grin. Her eyes sparkling, she pulled the lollipop from between her lips and deliberately pushed it inward until it refused to enter - then rubbed it back and forth across them. Opening her mouth slightly, she let her pink tongue flicker out to tease the candy ball before locking it into place while shaking her head to trace circular patterns with her tongue.
The scene mirrored the footage from Qi Fei's hidden camera so perfectly that Wang Zhuo felt immediate pulses of reawakened vitality coursing through him within seconds. Watching his physical reaction, Siyuan's eyes twinkled with wicked delight. Suddenly she sucked in the lollipop and yanked it away with a popping "plop" sound like uncorking a bottle.
Coughing to mask his discomfort, Wang Zhuo turned aside grimacing inwardly - this clever child was far too quick-witted for her own good. He could already foresee future trouble if left unchecked by Qi Fei's presence. Alone with him, she'd certainly test any man's resolve.
Noticing his avoidance, Siyuan stopped her candy performance and hatched a new plan. As the car pulled into Wang Zhuo's neighborhood, she suddenly called out from the back seat: "Oops! I really need to pee - can't hold it much longer!"
Qi Fei glanced rearward with a sigh. "There's a public restroom just beyond the gate. Let me take you."
Siyuan simpered nervously, "No thank you... There are too many perverts lurking in restrooms today. I'm scared of being photographed secretly."
Rolling her eyes, Qi Fei relented, "Then go up with Wang Zhuo. Just come back quickly - don't make me wait."
"Okay~" the child chirped like a cheerful swallow, hopping out to follow him into the building.
Inside the elevator she immediately linked arms with Wang Zhuo who tried and failed to shake free. Exiting later they passed through the lobby when Siyuan suddenly asked: "Did my imitation look convincing?"
Wang Zhuo gave an unenthusiastic nod as she wiggled onto the sofa with a dramatic plop, claiming she'd relieved herself despite his obvious discomfort from the unexpected jolt caused by the spring. When she dialed Qi Fei's number, he finally relaxed - realizing this wasn't another prank after all.
"Qi Fei, come up please," she called cheerfully into her phone before adding with a wink to Wang Zhuo, "Wang Coach has something important to discuss!"
"I'm eating watermelon and touring his apartment," Qi Fei replied.
"Don't worry, it's just us two."
"Oh? Then hurry up."
After hanging up, Siyuan giggled excitedly: "She said she needs time to find parking - will be here soon!"
Wang Zhuo groaned while ruffling her hair. "You know her too well - she won't come if you're here."
"Trust me," she grinned slyly, enjoying his indulgence.
Though exasperated, Wang Zhuo felt a strange thrill at the forbidden excitement brewing in him. When Qi Fei finally arrived later that night, Siyuan served slippers and watermelon before retreating to admire scenery from the balcony while Wang Zhuo discussed business with her.
Later when Siyuan peeked through the door: "Can I lie on your bed? Afraid of dropping hair or leaving perfume..."
"Feel free," he shrugged as she skipped off, returning only after Qi Fei sighed at the child's mischief. Remembering earlier moments, Wang Zhuo added wistfully: "It's good for children to have energy."
"I'd call it excessive energy," Qi Fei corrected while checking her watch. As evening deepened, she asked about Gan Lin who had stayed away due to parental strictness. Declining another night together, she began to leave until spotting the sleeping child in their bedroom, slumped sideways on a bear plushie with angelic expressions of dreamy bliss.
"Let's let her sleep," Qi Fei suggested softly as Wang Zhuo made excuses about missing company, only to be gently rebuffed for still having his girlfriend. "You're not so good yourself lately?" she teased when he tried to kiss her. "Didn't you say plum, orchid and bamboo each have their own season?"
"Of course," he grinned, "just like one prays in the right temple." As he pulled her onto the sofa, Qi Fei suddenly warned: "I'm on my period... Came yesterday." The disappointment flickering across Wang Zhuo's face didn't escape her notice - though secretly delighted at how easily she'd manipulated him.
"Then I won't let you go," he whispered, pressing himself against her with unmistakable urgency as they stared into each other's eyes through the half-open bedroom door...
