Two silhouettes abruptly materialized above Mochou Valley.

"For them to send us, two divine envoys, just to deliver a message—I truly don't understand what the First Divine Envoy was thinking!" the blue-robed figure grumbled, clearly annoyed.

"The First Divine Envoy possesses the power to communicate with the Divine Spirits an infinite number of times. He must have his reasons for this; we should simply obey his orders!" the other, gray-robed figure countered.

"I'm not doubting the First Divine Envoy's intentions, I just can't comprehend what possible reason would make the Divine Spirit attach such importance to a mere [Sweeping the Horizon] legion?"

The gray-robed figure let out a helpless chuckle. "Only the First Divine Envoy knows the answer to that. Let's just deliver the letter as instructed!"

"True... But I heard the leader of the [Sweeping the Horizon] Legion is a young man not yet twenty. I wonder if that's actually true."

"It likely is," the gray-robed figure mused, thinking for a moment. "I only overheard the First Divine Envoy mention it inadvertently last time. I still find it hard to believe even now!"

"Not yet twenty? Ha! Even if he had cultivated since birth, how high could his power possibly be? We must see him today. What qualifications does he possess to warrant a challenge from the First Divine Envoy!"

The gray-robed figure sighed. "You're still so eager to compete... Wait, haven't you heard about the outcome for the Second Divine Envoy?"

"Pah. The Second Divine Envoy is all talk. If I were to fight him, neither of us would be a match for him!" The blue-robed figure sounded dismissive of the Second Divine Envoy.

The gray-robed figure smiled wryly, knowing he couldn't dissuade the Third Divine Envoy before him. He pointed ahead. "They've spotted us. Perfect timing to go down!"

"Who are you two?" A scout flew over, but his expression immediately changed upon seeing their attire.

"Inform your superior that the Third and Fourth Divine Envoys, subordinates of the Dark Divine Spirits, have arrived for a visit!" the gray-robed figure stated calmly, his voice ringing out like a massive bell across the entire valley.

…………………………

"What is the purpose of the Heretic Divine Envoys, the Third and Fourth, arriving at this hour?" White frowned, speaking to the scout behind him. "Go fetch Bishop Dima and both Divine Envoy figures to join us!"

Heretic envoys arriving in the dead of night certainly bodes no good. Given their cunning nature, it was best to have Bishop Dima and Lingfeng present as well, just in case.

"I think it must be related to tomorrow's contest," Kam chimed in after hearing the news.

"The Heretics' actions truly confuse me. For the esteemed First Divine Envoy to challenge the leader of a private legion like ours is already peculiar enough, and now they send two more envoys. What is their true intention?" White looked bewildered.

"I suggest we don't receive them in the command tent. Let's meet them on the training grounds. Position the men from the Nether Holy Camp and the Archer Camp on either side—it will help us defend against any issues," Kam proposed.

Mochou Valley had already been sectioned off extensively. Although it was a Provisional Faction, dedicated training fields had been allocated.

White nodded. While this arrangement lacked grand posture, desperate times called for extreme measures. If he allowed these two envoys into the central tent and they were killed, wouldn't the entire legion be lost? They knew firsthand the combat prowess of the Divine Envoys; when the Eighth Divine Envoy had previously stormed in, killing him would have been genuinely difficult without the Commander's timely appearance.

…………………………

The Third Divine Envoy revealed an expression of utter disdain upon seeing they were received in the training grounds.

"It seems the leader of [Sweeping the Horizon] is as timid as a mouse, meeting us here, clearly afraid. I thought he was someone of stature, but he turns out to be nothing but a coward!"

The Fourth Divine Envoy merely shrugged at his words and followed him forward.

"Which one of you is the leader of [Sweeping the Horizon], your so-called Big Boss? Hurry up and roll over here to greet us!" The Third Divine Envoy strode to the center of the training ground, standing on a hastily erected reception platform, and declared with arrogance.

Lingfeng, seated not far from him, heard this and her delicate brows furrowed slightly; a look of displeasure crossed her face. If it were anyone else, she might not have given them a second glance, but for this man to demand Chen Feng come and greet him? Given Chen Feng's inherently proud nature, he would have likely thrown a punch already if he were here; there was no way he would go to greet anyone!

However, she knew this was not the moment to speak out, so she suppressed her temper and remained seated. Her silence, however, did not extend to Xiaohu. Now aware that his Boss was the Great Commander of the [Sweeping the Horizon] Legion, his usually large eyes widened considerably. "Hey, you so-called Divine Envoy, who the heck are you?"

He himself held the rank of a Divine Envoy currently, but he lacked the proper awareness for the title. Starting off with "so-called goddamn Divine Envoy" made Bishop Dima, seated nearby, break out in a cold sweat.

The Third Divine Envoy hadn't expected anyone to dare challenge him. He fixed his gaze on Xiaohu's slightly immature face, and a sudden gleam flashed in his eyes. "Age under twenty—this must be him!"

"Today, I want to see what qualifications you have that warranted me delivering this message to you!" The Third Divine Envoy finished, his eyes locked onto Xiaohu, brimming with hostility.

Seeing the hostile look in his eyes, Xiaohu retorted angrily, "I'm asking you, who are you? Are you deaf!"

The Third Divine Envoy had never endured such an insult. Fury surged, and an overwhelming aura immediately erupted from him.

To be fair, the sudden blaze of anger from both parties seemed somewhat inexplicable. The Third Divine Envoy was short-tempered, and Xiaohu's Boss had been insulted, which touched a nerve. Thus, in fewer than three exchanges, the two were like fire and water!

White had hoped Xiaohu would instigate a conflict, hoping it would become a battle between the Church and the Heretics, allowing them to ease the pressure. But strangely, the Heretic was insulting their Big Boss, so why was a Divine Envoy from the Church (Xiaohu) stepping up?

He exchanged a look with Kam, seeing the same bewilderment on his face, and could only speak out loudly with resignation, "Gentlemen, did you travel so late to our legion just to fight a duel with a Divine Envoy of the Church?"

He was clearly defining Xiaohu's status, implying that the envoys knew whom they were antagonizing, and warning them not to drag his legion into trouble later. This wasn't a matter of White lacking loyalty; a single decision from him affected the lives of 200,000 soldiers, so it could not be treated lightly.

"A Divine Envoy of the Church? Then he must be a master!" The Third Divine Envoy's fighting intent flared even stronger.

The Fourth Divine Envoy saw his companion preparing to strike and tugged at his sleeve, whispering in a voice only the two could hear, "Don't forget the First Divine Envoy's instructions: we must not clash with the Church right now. Our main target is the leader of the [Sweeping the Horizon] Legion!"

Only after hearing this did the Third Divine Envoy halt his intense staring contest. He turned his face toward White. "You are... the Big Boss of [Sweeping the Horizon]... No, wait? Weren't you supposed to be under twenty?"

White managed a wry smile. "Our Big Boss is currently absent from the legion due to pressing matters. I believe I made that perfectly clear the last time your First Divine Envoy came to issue a challenge."

"I think he's just hiding out, scared stiff!" The Third Divine Envoy sneered. "I thought the [Sweeping the Horizon] Legion, capable of drawing such attention from the Divine Spirits, was impressive. Turns out they're just a bunch of cowards!"

The surrounding onlookers, hearing such blunt and merciless criticism, simultaneously clenched their fists, expressions filled with anger.

"Lord White, I request permission to teach this arrogant fellow a lesson!" A sudden roar echoed through the camp.

White turned and saw that, at some point, Dictus, the commander of the Nether Holy Camp, had strode forward. Dictus revered Commander Chen Feng above all others. The repeated insults hurled at his leader had already enraged him, and hearing the man insult the entire legion again was the final straw that made him step out. The commander of the Nether Holy Camp was the strongest person in the legion besides Chen Feng.

"You want to teach me a lesson, trash like you?" The Third Divine Envoy looked utterly unimpressed.

Dictus, scorned so openly, ignored White’s implicit approval and spun around, marching toward the envoy. "I challenge you now!"

White knew he couldn't stop him; this concerned the honor of the legion. There was no need to endure it now, so he tacitly approved of the action.

"A challenge? You are not worthy!" The Third Divine Envoy gave a cold laugh, raised a finger, and a dense black mist suddenly churned around him. He lightly tapped his right index finger!

Whoosh...

A piercing whistle tore through the constraints of space, rocketing toward Dictus.

Dictus, as the commander of the Nether Holy Camp, was a seasoned veteran. Seeing the fierce incoming attack, he immediately retreated backward, his meditative waves causing his body to merge with nature.

"Ah!" he roared, arching his back sharply. His body instantly straightened like a taut bowstring, accumulating sufficient natural energy. In the air, a massive construct instantly formed, materialized from natural power—a great hammer!

This move was a combination of combat techniques imparted by the Big Boss and a new move Dictus had recently developed. It was the strongest attack he could unleash at his current stage. Knowing the Third Divine Envoy’s profound cultivation, he deployed his full strength from the first strike.

The black light shot out by the Third Divine Envoy collided instantly with Dictus's great hammer in mid-air.

With a resounding BOOM, the ground, covered with special reinforcement measures, cracked instantly, spiderwebbing with fine fissures. A frantic shockwave blew outward like a gale. If this place hadn't been the training ground, specially reinforced for combat, it would have likely been blasted into a massive crater.

Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!

Dictus staggered back more than ten paces. With every step back, a deep pit appeared beneath his feet. After retreating over ten steps, he could no longer hold on. With a sharp Pfft, he spat out a mouthful of blood and leaned back rigidly, collapsing unconscious.

Dictus’s full-power strike couldn't withstand the opponent's casual move; the disparity in power was immediately evident.
