Bang!

A deafening explosion sounded ahead, and a brilliant white light, like an arc of lightning, instantly illuminated the entire sky. Under this glare, everyone present experienced a momentary deafness.

Chen Feng was no exception; his vision went black, and he nearly passed out! He had already felt dizzy, but now the sensation intensified tenfold.

“Damn it, they’re trying to rescue Yu Jiao!” Although his mind was chaotic, Chen Feng made a split-second judgment. Gritting his teeth, he abruptly increased his speed and lunged forward!

Thud!

He had only flown a few meters when he felt his body slam into an invisible wall. The pain was agonizing, tearing at his soul. It seemed the combined might of the Nether Saints had erected an energy barrier to block his path.

Chen Feng’s heart seized. He felt Yu Jiao, held tightly in his grasp, suddenly sink downwards as a sharp attack pierced toward the fabric of the clothing on her back.

Riiip!

With a crisp sound, the cloth Chen Feng held instantly tore, and Yu Jiao slipped from his grasp, plummeting downward.

A figure in the air instantly swooped to catch the falling Yu Jiao, intent on snatching her away.

The moment his grip loosened, Chen Feng understood their malicious scheme. His body contracted, dropping straight down, simultaneously flipping over in a somersault, diving headfirst toward the ground!

“You seek death!” A thunderous roar erupted. The Endless Killing Domain unfurled instantly. His right fist clenched, driving straight down toward the head of the man attempting to rescue Yu Jiao!

Alas for that man, already being invaded by the Intent of Slaughter. A sharp pain struck his mind, his vision darkened, and his head was smashed into fragments.

Chen Feng’s arm shot forward, recapturing Yu Jiao in his palm. His right hand twisted, pulling the rescuer into his embrace, while his left arm hooked under her armpit, simultaneously clamping onto her neck.

However, in this maneuver, his arm ended up pressing directly against Yu Jiao’s prominent chest.

“You…” Yu Jiao managed a muffled sound, cursing Chen Feng vehemently in her mind. Though she was spirited and strong-willed, being crushed against her ‘sensitive areas’ by a grown man when she was still an inexperienced young woman was undeniably distressing.

But Chen Feng had no time for such thoughts. As soon as he completed the rapid sequence of moves, a sharp pain struck his back—he had been hit by a palm strike!

The power of the blow was immense. Chen Feng felt a sudden metallic taste in his throat and instantly spat out a mouthful of blood. It was Yu Jiao’s bad luck; the blood landed squarely upon her, flowing down her neck and seeping into her clothes.

Yu Jiao trembled with disgust, momentarily wishing for death.

After spitting the blood, Chen Feng’s eyes cleared from the blinding shock. He surveyed his surroundings.

Unbeknownst to him, he was now surrounded by eight figures clad in black. These men possessed the same cultivation level as the two who had just restrained him: peak Saint Domain strength, their eyes gleaming with unnerving intensity.

Hooo…

Chen Feng exhaled the stagnant air from his chest. The intense pain from that single palm strike had strangely cleared his mind. The previously muddled state, caused by absorbing copious amounts of soul power, had unexpectedly been alleviated.

One could even say that the blow had not only failed to injure Chen Feng but had actually helped him fuse the chaotic soul energy, successfully integrating it into his own will.

Yet, in that brief moment, had he not reacted quickly enough to secure Yu Jiao in his grasp again, he would surely be dead by now!

“It seems you value this ignorant woman quite highly!” Chen Feng stated, his left hand tightening around her throat. “Do not test my patience. If this happens again, I will kill her without hesitation!”

“Kill her?” A black-clad figure cackled. “If you kill her, you only seal your own doom!”

Yu Jiao was Chen Feng’s ace in the hole. If he truly killed her, he certainly wouldn't escape the encirclement. It was clear these eight men had seen through Chen Feng’s intent, which is why they dared to ambush him even after he had recaptured Yu Jiao!

“Heh, at worst, we perish together!” Chen Feng refused to yield, squeezing Yu Jiao’s neck harder.

“Cough, cough…” Yu Jiao’s face immediately flushed crimson, veins bulging visibly on her forehead.

This was now a contest of ruthlessness. Killing Yu Jiao meant a desperate last stand; even if he couldn't escape, he was certain to bathe them in blood. However, Chen Feng was confident they would not let Yu Jiao die—otherwise, they wouldn't have gone to such lengths hoping to rescue her from his grip.

“Stop!” The black-clad man finally couldn't hold back his shout. If he waited any longer, their Young Miss would vanish without a trace.

Chen Feng ceased his pressure. “I have no interest in talking nonsense. Let me leave, or she dies!”

The black-clad man spoke: “Don’t rush. How about we make a trade?”

“I’m not interested in trades; I’m only interested in leaving,” Chen Feng replied flatly.

“Hear me out before you decide whether to agree!” the man insisted.

Chen Feng gave him a cold look, releasing his spiritual power outwards, unconcerned about any tricks.

“The eight of us are the Black Guard of the Duolun family, not part of the main combat echelon. We are solely responsible for the safety of the Duolun family’s core members!” Instead of stating the terms, the man introduced their affiliation first. “The hostage you hold… yes, she is indeed the daughter of our Patriarch, a core member!”

“I don’t want to hear useless talk!” Chen Feng interjected.

“What I wish to convey is that while we are tasked with protecting the core members, even protectors sometimes fail. Therefore… you should understand my meaning—threatening us with the Young Miss is not very effective! The trade I propose is this: the eight of us will ensure your safe departure, and the Young Miss can remain in your custody!”

“Your conditions!” Chen Feng did not believe they would be so benevolent and asked.

“Heh, so you are interested,” the black-clad man’s eyes lit up. “Once you are safely outside, we only ask that you release the Young Miss back to us unharmed!”

“Is that all?” Chen Feng sneered.

“Certainly. Once the Young Miss is safely in our hands, four of us will engage you in combat. If you can escape unscathed, we will not pursue you further!” the black-clad man stated.

“Four against me? You certainly think highly of me!”

“If you feel that’s unfair, I can arrange for us to fight you sequentially. However, surely the leader of the great [Sweeping the Horizon] Legion, the one capable of fighting the First Divine Envoy of the Heretics, cannot be afraid of a few poor guards like us?” the man prodded with words.

Chen Feng chuckled. “Poor guards? If I actually agreed to your terms, you would be the truly pitiful ones! Now you say four, but once I release this woman, won't it be thousands upon thousands of fours?”

Letting them go after they let him free? Even a fool could see that was impossible!

“But you have no other choice!” the man asserted. “You are currently sealed in by the eight of us. Escaping will likely prove impossible!”

The black-clad men’s aura intensified slightly.

Indeed, Chen Feng felt a viscous quality surrounding his body; the space itself was completely locked down, making a breakthrough seem impossible.

Chen Feng’s expression remained unchanged. He glanced calmly at his right hand. “You think you can trap me? You are not worthy. Furthermore, if you succeed in trapping me, you can start preparing a funeral for your Young Miss.”

With those words, Chen Feng reached out with his right hand toward Yu Jiao’s other unbroken arm. With a sharp squeeze, the bone in that limb instantly shattered into dust.

“Ah…” The poor Yu Jiao couldn't even manage a full cry before a cold sweat broke out on her forehead, and she passed out instantly.

“If you try to delay me further, try to restrain me for even a moment longer, and I won't mind breaking both of this woman’s legs,” Chen Feng stated coldly, acting as if Yu Jiao’s life meant nothing to him.

“You…” The black-clad men were stunned by Chen Feng’s ferocity. Trapped in the center, not only did he reject their terms, but he dared to act! Their anger flared.

“Heh, let me tell you the truth: your spatial confinement is merely an application of the Power of Nature. It poses not the slightest threat to me,” Chen Feng sneered. He suddenly flung his hand up, tossing Yu Jiao toward one of the black-clad figures.

Seeing the Young Miss flying toward him, the man nervously spread his arms to catch her. In that fleeting moment of distraction, the spatial binding controlled by the Power of Nature by the eight figures showed a slight instability.

Chen Feng had been waiting for precisely this opportunity. His body suddenly accelerated, swaying twice before he shot clean through the spatial lockdown.

The instant he burst free, Chen Feng’s hands shot upward. His domain instantly enveloped the eight men. His eyes were cold, unlike a human’s. A flash of white light erupted where his arms intersected, and countless spatial particles immediately assaulted the eight men like a violent storm!

Great Serpent Skill, Sun Illumination!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of heavy impacts rang out. Under the spatial particle attack of the Sun Illumination, the eight black-clad men scrambled in confusion. Had they not reacted quickly or possessed profound cultivation, they would have been annihilated by the spatial fragmentation.

Even so, two of the black-clad men died instantly, their bodies dissolving into countless particles that drifted into the air.

Chen Feng snorted coldly and surged forward again, gathering Yu Jiao into his arms once more. This time, since he wasn't choking her neck, his left arm held her flatly, pressing both of her towering peaks underneath.

Yu Jiao had just awakened from her faint. Seeing her 'private area' being gripped by a man, the combination of pain and shame made her let out another soft moan before passing out again.

Chen Feng never realized the cause of her fainting; he only thought this woman’s willpower was distressingly weak.

“Still planning to stop me?” Chen Feng asked the remaining six black-clad men with a slight smile. “If not, then I’m leaving!” Without further hesitation, he took a step in the air and flew onward.

“Where do you think you’re going!” Just then, a resonant voice boomed across the mid-air like a thunderclap.
