Young Master Liu was baffled. What exactly was going on in there? The sound of gunfire suggested submachine guns or the like, yet Fan DeBiao couldn't see any light. Still, perhaps Fan DeBiao was overly tense and his eyes were playing tricks on him. So, he said to him, "Fan DeBiao, looks like we've run into some colleagues again."

"Colleagues? You mean there are tomb robbers in there?" Fan DeBiao asked, a hint of anger in his voice.

In this day and age, grave robbing wasn't quite the same as Dao Dou (tomb raiding). Fan DeBiao could be considered a legitimate Mojin Xiaowei (a traditional grave robber title), perhaps taking a few items to meet pressing needs. But most of the people robbing graves now were outright desperate outlaws who wouldn't hesitate to kill. They were less tomb raiders and more bandits; they took whatever they found in the tombs, which disgusted him.

"We're here to Dao Dou; those inside are here to steal. We're not on the same level; I look down on them," Young Master Liu told Fan DeBiao. As soon as Liu finished speaking, another long stretch of gunfire erupted, chaotic and utterly disorganized.

Fan DeBiao asked Young Master Liu, "What in the world are those people in there up to? Why are they shooting so randomly? Are they playing a game of shooting bees?"

"Young Master Liu, do you take them for idiots? These tomb robbers don't value their lives. Why use guns to shoot a few bees? You could swat them dead with a bird," Young Master Liu retorted to Fan DeBiao.

Fan DeBiao clicked his tongue and remarked, "Damn it, those bastards in there must have run into a Zongzi (a reanimated corpse), or they’ve gone mad from fright over something."

Young Master Liu stared intently at the stone door, dropping the discussion with Fan DeBiao.

They maintained their composure, waiting for about twenty minutes until the gunfire finally ceased. If Fan DeBiao was right about a Zongzi, there were now two possible outcomes: either the tomb robbers died and the Zongzi lived, or the Zongzi died, leaving the robbers alive, though likely heavily wounded. Young Master Liu leaned toward the first outcome, as human hearts were too complicated a thing to gauge.

Young Master Liu shifted closer to Wang Feifei and asked her, "Feifei, should we go in? It could be dangerous."

"Go in. That's everyone's only way out. What else can we do if we don't go?" Wang Su-Feifei countered. Young Master Liu slapped the wall—damn it, time to take the plunge.

Wang Feifei waved her hand and led the way, stealthily moving toward the entrance. Jackson followed behind. None of them had any weapons. Fan DeBiao thrust a piece of broken wall brick into Young Master Liu’s hand, saying, "If we have no weapons, we'll smash them to death with bricks..."

Young Master Liu took the brick from Fan DeBiao, shook his head, and crept toward the stone door.

The group slipped through the stone doorway and were immediately plunged into a different kind of darkness. The surroundings were eerily silent; one could vaguely hear the heartbeats and breathing of the others. Everyone noticed this and held their breath low.

Because they were completely enveloped in darkness, after shuffling forward a few steps inside the stone door, they stopped advancing. Setting aside the issues of the tomb robbers and the Zongzi for a moment, if there was a 'Nine-Eater Yin' formation, it would be a major headache.

At this moment, Young Master Liu intended to find Fan DeBiao to discuss how to handle the situation ahead. He reached backward several times, grasping only empty air. Young Master Liu’s heart instantly clenched—where was Fan DeBiao? Although the kid was obsessed with snatching Mingqi (ritual burial objects) whenever he saw one, he shouldn't have wandered off at such a dangerous moment. Liu reached back several more times, still finding nothing. Young Master Liu immediately understood: Fan DeBiao was gone.

Young Master Liu couldn't allow anything to happen to Fan DeBiao. In terms of friendship, he owed Fan DeBiao too much; no matter what, he couldn't let anything befall him. Thinking of this, his mind spiraled into chaos, his head nearly exploding.

"Fan DeBiao, where the hell are you? If you're alive, give me a damn sound! Stop playing hide-and-seek for no reason!" Young Master Liu finally couldn't hold back and shouted out loud. The surrounding silence was instantly shattered by his cry. His voice echoed within the space, lingering long after it left his lips, sending a spine-chilling sensation through the air. After the sound faded, there was still no reply from Fan DeBiao—it seemed something truly had happened.

Suddenly, there was a thump, and a flare shot into the air, followed quickly by two more. Instantly, the entire area was illuminated. Jackson lowered his flare gun and looked at Young Master Liu, saying, "Dashaio, we're in this together. We can't let anything happen to him."

Hearing Jackson’s words, Young Master Liu was so moved that tears almost welled up, and he nodded excitedly. He glanced at Wang Feifei; her expression was equally resolute. It seemed no one was angry at Young Master Liu's earlier outburst.

Young Master Liu turned and surveyed the surroundings. What met his eyes could not be described merely as spectacular; it was nothing short of miraculous. The group stood frozen, staring blankly at everything before them.

What unfolded before them was an immense burial chamber, shaped like a colossal circular sinkhole, walled with black brick. They were standing right at the edge of a large stone structure resembling an altar; one step further and they would plunge down. The walls were lined with countless coffins, all crafted from Populus euphratica wood. The most astonishing feature was that while the walls were covered in coffins, the center was dominated by a single, enormous Buddha statue, almost as tall as the chamber itself. They were currently standing behind the statue's head.

Young Master Liu leaned over, struggling to look down. He could mostly see the coffins, but they appeared fragile, likely to shatter with the slightest touch.

Fan DeBiao had vanished without making a sound, so he couldn't have simply fallen. Moreover, there was no sign of disturbance on any of the coffins. Even if Fan DeBiao had fallen silently, human instinct would compel him to grab onto something nearby for stability, which should have damaged the wood.

Young Master Liu looked to the others, questioning them with his eyes for any clue. Everyone shook their heads. Liu sighed and continued searching the area for any sign Fan DeBiao might have left behind.

"Dashaio, hurry over here! I've found something!" Suddenly, Fan DeBiao’s voice echoed from an unknown location.

Upon hearing the voice, Young Master Liu searched frantically for Fan DeBiao's silhouette, but he couldn't spot a trace of him. Then, Fan DeBiao suddenly materialized right in front of him, nearly causing Young Master Liu to jump off the ledge in shock.

Young Master Liu furiously grabbed Fan DeBiao by the collar and berated him, "Where the hell did you go, disappearing on us in this situation? Damn it, pick a better time to go looking for Mingqi!"

Hearing this, everyone else stared blankly at Young Master Liu, their faces filled with confusion. "What are Mingqi?" Wang Feifei asked him.
