Young Master Liu’s heart sank; the zombie was stirring. He quickly greeted Fan Debiao. Fan Debiao merely waved it off, grumbling that a strange bug had appeared here for no reason.

No sooner had the words fallen than a red dot shot out from the sarcophagus. Upon closer inspection, it was indeed an insect.

Suddenly, Big Grasshopper cried out tensely, "Get back!"

The red insect wasn't large, only about the size of a large spider. It resembled a scarab beetle and emanated a crimson glow. Its pair of wings vibrated at an incredibly high frequency. Frankly, aside from its radiant color, there was nothing remarkable about it.

When Big Grasshopper saw the bug, he reacted as if he had seen a ghost, urgently signaling Fan Debiao to dodge. It was clear this insect was not benign but a potentially dangerous creature.

Fan Debiao, hearing Big Grasshopper yell for him to move, was momentarily slow to react. He stared blankly at everyone, noticing their expressions shift to shock and fear, which left him feeling utterly helpless.

Seeing that Fan Debiao didn't grasp Big Grasshopper’s meaning, Young Master Liu shouted, "Fan Debiao, that bug is a disaster! Get away quickly, are you trying to die!"

Fan Debiao saw the earnestness in Young Master Liu’s voice, realizing this was no joke, and instantly registered the danger. He jolted into action, but it was too late. The glowing red insect hurtled toward Fan Debiao at blinding speed; it seemed he had no chance to evade it.

With a sharp clang, Fan Debiao dropped to his knees, and simultaneously, a trenching shovel clattered to the ground. Young Master Liu glanced over; the man was wiping cold sweat from his forehead. It appeared Fan Debiao had been spared the direct hit, saved by the shovel which had intercepted the attack.

Young Master Liu turned back. Big Grasshopper was breathing heavily, glaring at Fan Debiao. That shovel strike must have come from him.

The insect had collided with the shovel, producing an incredibly loud sound, which testified to the sheer force of its attack.

The impact had left Fan Debiao slightly dazed. He wiped his face with his hand and finally snapped back to awareness. Picking up the shovel, he gasped aloud.

Young Master Liu looked and saw a hole, nearly the size of half a fist, burned right through the metal of the shovel. The edges looked scorched. This sight left Young Master Liu stunned; this bug wasn't just aggressive, the temperature it emitted was also something not to be underestimated.

Big Grasshopper, having witnessed the near miss, had genuinely sweated through the ordeal. Seeing Fan Debiao unharmed, he breathed a sigh of relief and quickly called Fan Debiao over.

Fan Debiao snatched up the shovel and ran over swiftly. "Big Grasshopper, thank you! If it weren't for that shovel strike, I’d be done for. I, Fan Debiao, owe you one."

Fan Debiao continued, "What was that bug just now? It was so potent, and why did it vanish after just one hit?"

Big Grasshopper explained, "That’s called the Red Hernia King—the king of insects. Legend says it served the Queen Mother of the West. A dozen of them could burn down a forest, showing its extraordinary destructive power. This bug is extremely belligerent, never letting living things pass. As for why it attacked once and disappeared, even Young Master Liu can’t figure that out. However, this bug is a potent medicinal ingredient, most importantly, it’s not bitter, and it possesses the ability to bring the dead back to life." Having said this, he urged everyone to go capture the Red Hernia King. Qingcanchong’s injury wouldn't wait, and encountering the Red Hernia King meant Qingcanchong had luck on his side.

The group searched the tomb chamber for a long time with no success. Suddenly, Fan Debiao shouted, "Comrades, that Red Mountain Army guy is here! Hurry over and deal with it."

Hearing Fan Debiao’s cry, Young Master Liu turned to look. He saw the Red Hernia King circling above the sarcophagus. Young Master Liu was puzzled; why was this bug lingering around the sarcophagus?

Fan Debiao stated, "The immortal medicine bug is right ahead. Should we surround it or wear it down with a war of attrition?"

Jackson chimed in, "Surround it, surrounding is better."

Young Master Liu said to Fan Debiao, "What’s this talk of surrounding and attrition? You saw how tough this bug is. In its eyes, we'd be taken out one by one. Let’s ask Big Grasshopper first."

Big Grasshopper replied, "This thing requires water, and not just any water." With that, he pulled a large bottle from his bag—a bottle made of exquisite blue-and-white porcelain, which looked quite valuable. Big Grasshopper continued, "This is Qingcanchong's ancestral insect repellent."

Damn, such a huge bottle, yet Qingcanchong claimed it could only be used once—clearly stingy. Young Master Liu considered that it was an heirloom, so it was understandable he wouldn't want to use it; perhaps this was all that remained in the world.

Big Grasshopper waved his hand, signaling everyone to gather around, advising them to grab sturdy weapons just in case. Everyone picked up whatever felt right in their hands and cautiously closed in.

However, once they were about a meter from the sarcophagus, the bug seemed to sense the danger nearby. Its light grew deeper red, and its wings beat even faster. Even without making a sound, everyone could hear the rustling.

Big Grasshopper roared, "Bad news! Down!"

Hearing Big Grasshopper’s shout, everyone tumbled to the ground. The insect immediately darted wildly in the air, moving with incredible speed.

Big Grasshopper seized the moment, stood up, raised the bottle, and with a flick of his wrist, a stream of water shot directly at the Red Hernia King, hitting its mark instantly.

After being struck, the Red Hernia King acted as if its soul had been stolen, spinning madly in the air before plummeting into the sarcophagus. Fan Debiao cheered with delight, running straight to the sarcophagus edge to examine it closely.

By then, everyone had gathered around. The Red Hernia King lay gasping on Zhang Jiao's golden tiger-shaped mask, its crimson glow completely gone. However, its wings were still flapping vigorously, though clearly unable to lift it into the air.

Fan Debiao exclaimed, "Damn, Qingcanchong's repellent is incredible. It can handle such a vicious bug, let alone other mosquitoes and flies. If we could mass-produce this, we’d be set for life!"

Hearing Fan Debiao’s assessment, Young Master Liu was surprised; the guy was usually dull, yet he had a flash of business acumen.

What concerned Fan Debiao most was the bug itself, after all, it was a divine object. He decided that after Qingcanchong finished it, he would at least keep a thigh, as it would surely fetch a high price if sold. Saying this, he reached out to grab the Red Hernia King.

Before his hand made contact, the Red Hernia King convulsed once and burrowed into Zhang Jiao's head. Immediately, Zhang Jiao's corpse began to change, starting to swell.

Young Master Liu asked Big Grasshopper, "Besides bringing the dead back to life, what effect does this bug have when it enters a corpse?"

Big Grasshopper shook his head, suggesting his knowledge on the matter was limited.

"Holy crap!" Fan Debiao and Jackson both yelled out.

Young Master Liu turned back and saw the corpse had inflated beyond recognition; its head was ballooning like a basketball, and two eyeballs bulged out from the mask, blood-red, giving Young Master Liu goosebumps.

Big Grasshopper screamed, "Not good! The corpse is reanimating! Run!"

Startled by Big Grasshopper’s warning, everyone snapped back to reality. Fan Debiao turned and sprinted toward the funnel-shaped opening. Big Grasshopper stopped him, saying they couldn't leave that way—their speed wouldn't be enough, and they’d be caught in no time. He pointed to a hole in the southeast corner and said, "Go this way!"

As soon as the words left his mouth, a dark shadow shot out of the sarcophagus, pouncing on anyone in sight with unimaginable speed.

There was no time to worry about anything else; escape was paramount. In an instant, everyone bolted into the tunnel.

Fan Debiao ran at the very front, with Big Grasshopper right behind him, carrying Qingcanchong and keeping a decent pace. Young Master Liu ran at the rear, feeling immense pressure.

This time, Young Master Liu hit his physical limit. His speed was comparable to Lewis Hamilton’s, and the zombie wasn't far behind, keeping Young Master Liu constantly on edge.
