He slowly turned and looked behind him, and the sight utterly stunned him. Behind him stood an Yinglong, glaring fiercely. Its eyes held an indescribable menace, and clenched in its jaws was a piece of dripping, bloody meat. At that moment, Young Master Liu finally understood the peck marks on the corpse—it was this Yinglong feeding.

This Yinglong was about the same size as the smaller dragon carved on the stone gate. The carving on the gate only showed the shape of an Yinglong without any further detail, and only now, seeing the real creature, did he realize. The feathers on the Yinglong’s wings were white, while the rest of its plumage was black. On its head grew two massive horns that seemed entirely mismatched with its features, along with a sharp beak. Its mouth looked lethally sharp; a single jab would surely rip away a large chunk of flesh.

Looking at the Yinglong, Cai Qingchong murmured, "Isn't this Yinglong something from mythology? Why is it here guarding Zhang Jiao's tomb? Is it helping him stand guard?"

Seeing the Yinglong, Young Master Liu felt a simultaneous surge of shock and joy: "The answer might not be far off now."

He then turned to Fan Debiao: "Old Biao, didn't you just feel a gust of cold wind on you? I felt it too, right before you. I thought it was just the draft coming from the tomb passage, but now it seems this Yinglong is causing trouble."

As he spoke, the Yinglong let out a strange cry and lunged at Young Master Liu. Fortunately, Liu reacted quickly enough, dodging the attack with a sideways step. Although he evaded the fatal blow, his arm was still grazed, showing just how formidable this creature was.

Big Cricket saw the Yinglong attack and, raising his submachine gun, unleashed a furious stream of fire toward the direction the dragon had flown. The others quickly shone their flashlights over, only to see the Yinglong still hovering in mid-air. It seemed Big Cricket’s volley had zero effect.

Before Big Cricket could fire again, the Yinglong suddenly swooped toward Young Master Liu with a 'whoosh.' Luckily, Liu was already prepared and sidestepped its charge.

In a flash—faster than saying it—as the Yinglong sliced past Young Master Liu, Big Cricket raised his gun and swept another barrage across its body. Despite the speed of Big Cricket’s firing, the Yinglong remained completely untouched.

At this point, Young Master Liu muttered to himself, "Damn it, why does this Yinglong keep targeting me? This is absolutely insane."

Seeing the Yinglong darting about, rendering their gunfire useless, Big Cricket pulled a flare from his pack and shot it toward the creature. The flare ignited right in front of the Yinglong, blinding it with intense light. Unable to keep its eyes open, the Yinglong thrashed in mid-air, squawking miserably.

Seeing this, everyone opened fire, blasting the Yinglong relentlessly. After taking countless shots, it didn't fall dead immediately but instead shrieked and darted erratically in the air. While thrashing, it suddenly slammed into the wall, punching a massive hole clean through it.

Fan Debiao stood agape: "Damn it, this Yinglong is tough as hell! It can smash a hole in a wall!" Saying this, he prepared to move in and properly examine the corpse of this rare specimen.

Less than two seconds after Fan Debiao rushed in, a shout of astonishment echoed out: "Aiya! This is fantastical, damn it!"

Hearing Fan Debiao's cry, the other four rushed in behind him. When they reached Fan Debiao and shone their powerful flashlights around, all four froze in place.

The group found themselves on a flat expanse roughly five meters square, surrounded entirely by sheer cliffs. Shining their lights downward, they couldn't see the bottom.

Big Cricket set off another flare, aiming it down. Instantly, the entire area became clearly visible. They realized they were standing on a precipice, perhaps a hundred meters above a stone slab below. On that slab rested a rectangular object that, from a distance, resembled a box.

Just as Young Master Liu was about to examine his surroundings more closely, the flare suddenly died out. He told Big Cricket to launch another one, and the area brightened again, allowing Liu to take in the surroundings once more.

The five stood at the edge of the cliff, occasionally feeling a refreshing breeze. The light from the flares illuminated the entire space brilliantly.

Young Master Liu’s gaze traced from the base of the cliff up to the cliff face.

He observed that the surrounding sheer walls were covered in a dense array of formations resembling honeycomb structures, though these were many times larger than actual honeycombs. Due to the distance, they couldn't make out what material they were composed of.

Fan Debiao surveyed the scene and declared, "Damn, this place is so high, it must be higher than the entire Mount Pusa!"

Young Master Liu remarked, "This is truly a case of finding a new village when one despairs of a dead end—to find such a place hidden within such a small mountain range."

He looked at the others and noticed their faces had darkened. He asked Big Cricket, "Big Cricket, what's wrong? Is something amiss?"

Big Cricket lit a cigarette: "I had a premonition the moment we entered the tomb chamber. It seems now that this place isn't a tomb at all!"

Fan Debiao grew agitated upon hearing this: "What?! All this effort, and it’s not even a tomb? After all the trouble we went through!" He then started humming a mournful tune: "Not knowing the tomb of Wuling's heroes, no flowers, no wine, just farming with a hoe."

It seemed Fan Debiao had lost heart, believing the treasure had slipped through his grasp. Young Master Liu thought to himself that although Fan Debiao wasn't a stellar character, if the man lost his motivation, he would surely cause trouble later.

After a moment of thought, Liu leaned in close to Fan Debiao’s ear: "Old Fan, don't lose heart so soon. You just want to score some treasure, right? Big Cricket only said it's not a tomb; he didn't say there aren't any treasures here!"

Then, Liu nodded toward the bottom of the cliff: "Didn't we just see a box down there? Maybe there are some big items inside?"

Fan Debiao’s fighting spirit immediately reignited after Liu's prompt: "You're right about that! When we get down there, you have to help me hide things well, make sure those tomb robbers don't find out!"

Young Master Liu cursed internally: Damn you, your mind is full of nothing but gold. As long as you stick with the group and get down there safely, I couldn't care less about your hoard!

After observing for a moment longer, Young Master Liu turned to Big Cricket: "Big Cricket, that box below looks peculiar. Should we see if the group wants to go take a look?"
