Fang Senyan was in a state of utter disarray. He clutched his right shoulder with his left hand, leaning slightly forward, blood still trickling persistently between the fingers of his left hand. For someone of his constitution, the fact that the wound had not stopped deteriorating was a clear indication of the singular power of the Elven Sacred Archery technique.

Legolas looked at Fang Senyan's pale face, remaining utterly silent, merely raising his bow slowly before closing his eyes. Facing this man gave him a pervasive sense of everything going awry, as if something intrinsically his had been stripped away by some unseen force.

Of course, Legolas was unaware that Fang Senyan’s actual Luck Manipulation technique was actively counteracting his own fortune, but that certainly did not stop him from unleashing the most ferocious strike possible!

From behind Legolas, a colossal, imposing apparition materialized, like a giant, yet possessing three eyes, glaring fiercely at Fang Senyan.

The Dark Emissary, clearly scholarly, exclaimed in astonishment: "That is an ancient Frost Giant from the First Age! Why would such a being suddenly appear behind Legolas?"

Moreover, behind the Ancient Frost Giant, the image of a young elven boy emerged. Though clearly childish, his countenance held an indescribable majesty; he pointed accusingly at Fang Senyan, refusing to look away!

This was the most devastating arrow among the seven shots of the Elven Sacred Archery—the one that wielded infinite, boundless power, sweeping across the past and the future. The wielder needed only to burn all their vital essence, spirit, and mind to draw the longbow, using the soul-spirit from one lifetime to aim, and bolstering it with the soul from the next! This single arrow mobilized the immense forces of the present, the past, and the future! Otherwise, even with Legolas's abilities, mustering the full might of the Black Arrow would be a strenuous effort.

Yet, Fang Senyan remained remarkably composed. However, Legolas at this moment was utterly focused, slowly drawing his bowstring. His physical presence became so peculiar that while standing precisely in place, closing his eyes, he seemed completely absent. Aziz even attempted to strike him, only to find he could not lock onto the enemy; it was as if Legolas had slipped into an entirely different dimension.

This was the power of a Divine Artifact protecting its master. Even Aziz’s legendary firearm possessed the ability to defend its bearer! How much more so the Black Arrow artifact, the very weapon that slew the great dragon Smaug?

With a soft thwack, blood sprayed outward; one of Legolas’s nocking fingers was severed by the bowstring and flung away. All the vital energy in his body was focused on that drawing finger, and the blood erupted violently. Following this, Legolas’s pinky, ring, and middle fingers were all cleanly severed by the tremendous recoil force. But, relying on his last finger and the protection of its finger guard, the Bow of Lórien was finally drawn taut—the Black Arrow had locked onto its target!!

Legolas’s soul of the Ancient Frost Giant from his past life, and his future spirit essence, let out a roar of combined fury! Then, Legolas fell backward, staring toward the sky. His golden hair billowed helplessly in the wind, his tightly shut eyes signifying that he had completely exhausted every last reserve of power.

But, but!!

That fatal artifact, the Dragon-Slaying Arrow, was already streaking towards Fang Senyan!

This arrow appeared slow, unremarkable, yet only Fang Senyan knew that being locked onto by the Black Arrow plunged him into a state of near paralysis—unable to breathe, see, hear, speak, or cry out!

However, just at that moment, light flared from Fang Senyan’s finger, and several ethereal phantoms, each with a distinct expression, materialized. They possessed an imposing majesty that defied description, their hands pressed together as if hoisting something heavy. The next second, a snake-patterned mirror, the size of a bowl's mouth, appeared superimposed upon Fang Senyan. The mirror’s surface shimmered, exhibiting a light that seemed truly alive.

This was the ability of the legendary equipment Fang Senyan had just acquired: the Ring of Balarach—Divine Mirror Reflection!

This effect had a cooldown of only thirty seconds and could reflect incoming damage from the enemy, making it incredibly useful. However, it was not free to use; it required expenditure of Merit Points, otherwise, this ring would qualify as a Divine Artifact outright.

But!! Even the Divine Mirror could not withstand the piercing might of the Black Arrow. Under the Black Arrow’s power, the mirror instantly dissipated into smoke!

Not only that, the arrow pierced directly through Fang Senyan’s chest. Yet, in the instant the Divine Mirror shattered, a sliver of black light was reflected back, quietly darting out and sinking into Legolas’s body.

The damage to the front of the chest was only the size of a wound, but the exit wound on the back presented an opening the size of a bowl! Furthermore, the Black Arrow did not cease its momentum; it bored through a marble pillar behind him, and where it struck the marble, the pierced section expanded to a height of a full person.

But this was not the Black Arrow’s final performance. The true destructive climax of the Dragon-Slaying Arrow manifested when it struck the Royal Palace of Gondor. The entire top section of the palace, covering nearly half its expanse, appeared to be cleanly shorn off, as if hit by a massive beam of light exceeding ten meters in diameter, leaving edges impossibly smooth. The sheer power of this single shot was comparable to the main cannon of a starship in interstellar warfare.

Fang Senyan staggered a few times, giving the impression that he was phasing out of this plane of existence, then froze rigidly in place. Immediately afterward, cracks began to spiderweb across his entire body, fracturing like brittle porcelain, before he suddenly shattered with a crash into countless fragments the size of fingernails, seemingly about to vanish on the spot.

However, at that precise moment, a long, drawn-out sigh drifted from somewhere unknown. The sigh was ethereal and intangible, yet utterly irresistible, much like water naturally flowing downhill, smoke naturally rising upward, or the four seasons cycling through the year.

This sigh carried the immense authority of a natural law.

It was the Sigh of Death itself. A power so profound that even Death could only sigh in resignation!

Then, an indescribably large cloak floated out of thin air, hovering suspended. Within the cloak's suspension, the countless fragments of Fang Senyan that had scattered began to reassemble bit by bit. Finally, he reformed into a figure kneeling and gasping, clutching his chest.

Time seemed to freeze. After a long pause, the half-kneeling Fang Senyan weakly lifted his head and sneered: "The power of a Divine Artifact is indeed formidable. You only need to loose one more arrow, and this battle would be yours. But, Prince Legolas, can you still draw a bow?"

Ever since releasing that shot, Legolas had fallen face-down on the ground. Not only was he suffering the backlash of his own arrow, severely wounding his right hand, but the legendary ring Fang Senyan wore, the Ring of Balarach, was certainly no common trinket—it was legendary equipment. Although its Divine Shield effect had lower priority than the Black Arrow and was shattered, the reflection effect still took hold. Just as Fang Senyan was pierced, the terrifying damage reflected by the Divine Shield tore through the defenseless chest of Legolas.

Hearing Fang Senyan’s words, Legolas’s right hand moved with great effort, as if trying to push himself up, but despite strenuous attempts, he failed. He managed to lift himself half a foot before collapsing again!

The might of the Black Arrow was too much even for a dragon’s vitality to withstand. Even with only half the power reflected by the Divine Mirror, the utterly exhausted Legolas could not endure it. He was clinging to life only by the sheer tenacity of Elven vitality.

Although Gandalf mastered equally advanced healing spells—even reviving the great Dwarf King Thráin Oakenshield from near death hundreds of years prior (as seen in The Hobbit plot) and making him instantly robust—and had even healed Legolas’s crippled arm from Fang Senyan’s earlier ambush, it was evident now that Legolas had no more life force left. His soul, like Fang Senyan’s had been, was shattered into ten thousand pieces! However, Fang Senyan’s overwhelming innate talent compelled even Death to sigh and yield; Legolas could only await the arrival of his end.

A series of notifications flashed across Fang Senyan’s retina: “You have slain the plot protagonist, the Black Forest Elven Prince, Legolas Greenleaf.” “Your action will cause a series of far-reaching consequences throughout Middle-earth.” “The death of Legolas Greenleaf has caused a segment of the Elves to lose hope for the future, accelerating their migration eastward out of Middle-earth. However, Legolas Greenleaf’s father is enraged; the devastating news has plunged him into profound grief. Therefore, he has furiously abdicated his position, and the freedom this liberates allows him to step forward and complete his child’s unfinished aspirations. Legolas’s turns of events, duties, and protagonist luck in this world will now transfer to his father: Thranduil.” “Your actions have earned the appreciation of Sauron. Consequently, your Contribution Score is increased by an additional two thousand points, and you receive one Silver Plot Badge of Sauron. This badge can be used in place of a Sauron Badge and grants a thirty percent discount on your intended purchases.” “The morale of all plot characters and soldiers in Minas Tirith has decreased by two points (Attack and Defense reduced by 20).” “Milestone Achieved: Legendary Bane: You participated in the battle that killed either Aragorn or Legolas. Your brutality inspires awe in all Legendary Creatures. Hostile Legendary Creatures (including humans) will have their attack power against you reduced by 10. Neutral (Friendly) Legendary Creatures will hold you in reverence, making it easier for you to win their friendship.”

Just then, nearby voices broke into gasps of alarm. Several smoke-like phantoms materialized around Legolas’s corpse and began to lift it, preparing to float away. The Black Arrow and the Bow of Lórien, which had somehow returned to the quiver, trembled gently and floated up, seemingly about to ascend into the air.

"As expected... they would try to interfere at this moment," Fang Senyan choked out blood, watching the bizarre spectacle with a cold smirk. "Do you think I would step forward and risk my life without making any contingency plans?"
