"Well, the show is about to begin," Reef couldn't help but laugh, a sound laced with the relief of a burden lifted. "It seems more than one party intends to snatch food from the tiger's mouth. Those three assassins are elites from the Sea Alliance, and that Beast King MT, Laxiri, actually seems quite capable."

Fang Senyan smiled faintly:

"That's why taking a step back opens up a wider world. If we tried to fight for Eomer too, it would lead to a chaotic three-way battle, wasting our strength internally. Eomer is unfathomable; we might not even be able to kill him, and even if we do, securing the drop might be impossible. Aziz, let's go rest for five minutes first. Then, the priority is checking on our commander, Gasmor. Right now, I'd be grateful if his mannerisms aren't as rough as his appearance."

At this moment, because Eomer was in peril, the situation on the nearby battlefield had been entirely stirred up by him. He had become the core of a massive vortex, and his prestige among the Rohan cavalry was second only to the King. Therefore, without a doubt, many of the elite elements within those armies had rushed over.

The increased pressure over there naturally meant reduced pressure on Fang Senyan and his group. Thus, it wasn't too difficult for everyone to regroup. Once reunited, the Blue Light Team and the Sea Alliance had already begun hurling insults and accusations at each other, yet their subordinates never ceased their attacks. Fortunately, both sides maintained a degree of restraint, avoiding any actions that would lead to mutual aggression.

However, after Fang Senyan’s group rested for the planned five minutes, the situation facing the Blue Light Team and the Sea Alliance became quite grim. Because when Eomer managed to secure Guswen, although his mobility plummeted due to losing his horse, the imposing aura of a wounded beast fully radiated from him! It was a spirit practically thirsting to devour flesh!

The Sea Alliance was the first to suffer. Beast King Laxiri had boasted too much earlier. Unforeseen was the malevolent killing power of Eomer combined with Guswen. After hanging on for just over ten seconds longer, he was seized upon by Eomer, resulting in his pet, Hyperion, being instantly slain.

At this point, those nearby certainly couldn't stand idly by while Laxiri was killed. The Sea Alliance members naturally rushed in for support. In the ensuing chaos, the Blue Light Team was not one to be trifled with either; they furiously attacked Eomer, drawing him toward them. Just as the succulent morsel that the Blue Light Team was cheering about—their easy target—seemed to be returning, Jax’s four dispatched MTs charged forward to hold him back...

And then, And then they found they couldn't hold him.

But it was fine; Jax had never expected any single one of them to withstand the assault. Otherwise, how would Fang Senyan’s group feel? So, he ordered the four to rotate in holding the line. But at this moment, he noticed something: the first MT who charged in couldn't retreat! Because none of the individuals he chose possessed the special teammate-saving ability unique to MTs: the Awakening Skill!

In just a moment of hesitation, two of Jax's four MTs were dead, and the remaining two were already paralyzed by fear. They could only rely on sheer numbers and summoned creatures to hold the line. But this, on a chaotic battlefield, would lead to adverse consequences. The more people surrounded Eomer, the lighter the resistance offered by the remaining Rohan cavalry would become, freeing them up to ruthlessly slaughter the Orc Legion.

More importantly, Eomer was a banner on the battlefield, the constant focal point for the soldiers. If he were besieged by just a few people, the soldiers, trusting in his valor, would believe he could dispatch them in seconds and fight on fiercely. But if he were surrounded by dozens, hundreds of people, the soldiers would inevitably scramble to rescue their lord.

So, having few has its advantages, and having many has its drawbacks. At this point, even if the Blue Light Team and the Sea Alliance united to attack Eomer, the pressure they faced would certainly be no less than what Fang Senyan’s group had endured attacking him alone!

Taking advantage of the rapidly shifting battlefield situation, Fang Senyan’s group had completed their rest. Maintaining a purely defensive posture, they traversed more than half the battlefield to reach Gasmor’s location. By now, the entire battlefield was a bubbling cauldron. While the Rohan cavalry charge had achieved an astonishing effect, causing massive casualties among the Orcs, the Ogres summoned by the Contractors could still impede the cavalry momentum, meaning only about half the Orc Legion was completely pierced.

When this half of the cavalry was gathered by King Théoden and charged through again, of the original massive army of eight thousand, fewer than five hundred remained under Théoden’s command. It wasn't that the rest had all died; rather, during the piercing charge, they lost that powerful momentum and became entangled in the melee. Yet, generals who managed to break through the Orc lines would still reorganize the surrounding troops and charge back into the Orc mass in a wedge formation of a few hundred men.

Seizing this opportunity, the Contractors from Minas Tirith also couldn't remain idle and poured out of the city to join the fray. Thus, looking down from above, the entire vast battlefield resembled a pot of rapidly boiling thin porridge, even stirred a few times. However, with the continuous emergence of Rohan generals organizing clustered charges, it was clear that the overall tide was rapidly tilting in favor of the Rohan cavalry; the collapse of the Orc Legion was only a matter of time.

King Théoden’s Royal Guard acted like a sharp knife, cutting wantonly through the formations, until, under Zeus’s deliberate guidance, they collided with Gasmor and his elite Orc legion nearby.

At this point, one could see that Zeus and his group were busy surrounding and killing a Rohan general wearing the Horn of the Sunset. Zeus did possess capability; in Fang Senyan’s view, he was far more reliable than that Beast King MT. His Awakening Skill, Gravity Suppression, was fully mastered, and he had self-awareness regarding the limits of his power, never choosing targets beyond his capacity.

However, Zeus’s biggest weakness was his excessive susceptibility to flattery, placing too much trust in Mentor of Metals, Furoia—it was Furoia who strongly pushed for this scheme involving Gasmor. As for Aziz’s reaction, Zeus hadn't expected it to be so fierce, and secondly, he genuinely felt his ability was about to fail to suppress the defiant warrior. Furthermore, there were faint rumors of Aziz colluding with people from the outside team, so at this critical juncture, he made a harsh decision.

Aziz was a sharp, unsheathed blade without a guard; to employ him, one first had to consider whether they would cut themselves. With Fang Senyan as the shining example before him, it was no wonder Aziz didn't hold Zeus in very high regard.

Currently locked in a fierce stalemate with the King’s Royal Guard was naturally Gasmor’s elite Orc Legion, heavily assisted by the Seven Ringwraiths. As Fang Senyan’s group arrived on the scene, they were immediately charged by about ten Royal Guards clad in gold armor.

However, as Fang Senyan’s group maintained a spectator stance, attacking only when necessary, these ten or so guards scattered after a brief assault, worn down by Reef’s piercing roar and the dual annoyance—or rather, dual foulness—of Fang Senyan’s poisonous smoke cloud. At this time, Kuruutguo had also recovered some of his supernatural abilities and began rapidly constructing stone walls—the best form of cover against small-scale cavalry charges.

After observing the battlefield situation for a while, Fang Senyan suddenly said:

"Zeus and the others' target... I know what it is—that Hobbit!"

Zi, who somewhat understood Zeus, couldn't help but ask with surprise:

"How could you tell? I didn't notice any clues?"

Fang Senyan smiled:

"I didn't deduce it from Zeus's deployment, but rather from observing the figures on the battlefield. On this field, the weakest named character is a member of the Fellowship: Meriadoc Brandybuck! As a Hobbit unsuited for combat, the difficulty in killing him is the lowest. More importantly, this fellow must possess a powerful legendary weapon: the Royal Sword of the West!"

"If the plot proceeded normally, when Eowyn was about to be killed by the Witch-king, Merry would use this sword to stab the Witch-king's knee tendon, causing him to fall. Eowyn would then seize the chance to stab between the Witch-king's crown and cloak, eliminating him! Although this sword is also corrupted by the evil energy of the Witch-king of Angmar, that event hasn't happened yet, making Meriadoc Brandybuck the most cost-effective target."

"But in the original story, Princess Eowyn and Meriadoc Brandybuck are very close. Surely she wouldn't stand by and watch all this happen?" Zi inquired.

Fang Senyan shot Aziz a deep look and smiled:

"That question should be directed to Aziz; we need to know how deep the wound he inflicted on the Princess runs."

Aziz replied coldly:

"Ten hours. For at least ten hours, she will only be able to exert half her combat strength."

Fang Senyan shrugged at Zi and then chuckled:

"Mentor of Metals’ grasp of human psychology is deepening. If I’m correct, Aziz’s decision to leave the team and single-handedly ambush Eowyn was also within her expectations. This clears the biggest obstacle to hunting down Meriadoc Brandybuck—Eowyn. By obtaining the Royal Sword of the West, the killing power granted by this weapon can compensate for the loss incurred by Aziz's departure, allowing them to continue the hunting plan and target higher-level enemies."
