The moment the voice fell, the robes covering that figure instantly burst open, disintegrating into a shower of cloth fragments!
Her entire body was encased in form-fitting, scaled armor forged from steel, yet the insignia and lines etched into this close-fitting scale armor possessed a distinctly futuristic ambiance. Each overlapping steel scale was brilliantly shining and exceptionally keen-edged, lending her an air of profound, inscrutable beauty, alongside an unexpected sharpness.
Because the metallic armor clung so closely, cleverly outlining the wearer’s graceful physique, her figure appeared slender and subtly curvaceous. Thus, there was no doubt she was a woman, a fact further confirmed by the sound of her voice.
Upon seeing Fang Senyan, the metal scales covering her body suddenly bristled, standing erect like the hackles of a fighting fowl, instantly reflecting a blade-like, chilling glare into everyone’s eyes!
"It's you!!"
The one who uttered those words was none other than Fang Senyan’s old acquaintance: the Metal Mentor!
She had been deep in animated conversation with a group of Contractors when she saw Fang Senyan, the catalyst of all her troubles. Past grievances and the entire chain of events surged back to her mind! From her surface-level Feathered Steel Battle Armor, seven or eight sharp, rapidly spinning steel shards shot forth.
These shards resembled fish scales; slightly thicker in the middle, their edges were thin but entirely serrated. As they flew, they spun at high velocity, yet completely silently. They scattered randomly like moths, yet they gouged streaks of sparks from the hard, coarse rock beneath, leaving deep white scorch marks, before converging to slice towards Fang Senyan from all directions!
It had to be admitted that the Metal Mentor's strength had increased significantly. Although this maneuver appeared convoluted, the execution was incredibly swift. It seemed specifically optimized against spellcasting classes; the attack arrived almost instantaneously—such astonishing flight speed made evasion extremely difficult even when anticipated; therefore, one could only brace to take the hit.
Among Fang Senyan’s group, only Ronnie possessed enough confidence to completely evade the attack! However, from another perspective, Fang Senyan’s party simply hadn't anticipated being ambushed within their own stronghold. Otherwise, it was questionable whether the Metal Mentor would have had the opportunity to get close enough to strike!
After the Metal Mentor attacked, only Ronnie managed to throw two shuriken, deflecting two of the steel pieces. The remaining five or six shards spiraled back, slicing directly towards Fang Senyan’s head!
The silent menace they carried was so potent it almost gave observers the illusion that Fang Senyan’s head would be cleaved into four or five pieces.
But if the Metal Mentor was improving, was Fang Senyan’s personal ability regressing? He simply raised his right hand in an unhurried gesture, blocking directly in front of his eyes!
The five or six steel shards struck his arm with a metallic clang-clang-clang sound, then scattered wildly and impotently away, as if Fang Senyan’s right arm were actually made of steel. There wasn't even a scratch left upon it!!
A chill went through the Metal Mentor’s heart. First impressions are paramount. When she first encountered Fang Senyan, she considered him a mere ant that could be crushed or shaped at will, believing any victory he achieved was due to trickery. Holding this psychological advantage, Fang Senyan had always been summarized in her mind by four simple words: “Nothing special!”
But... she knew the true destructive power of her attack! She had exerted a full six-tenths of her strength, and the man before her had blocked it as if unbothered!! Six shards of cutting alloy steel, and they caused him absolutely no harm!
This stark contrast caused the Metal Mentor a brief moment of stunned disorientation.
And precisely as the Metal Mentor was thinking this, she suddenly sensed something strange about the shadow beneath her feet. As the thought formed, a spectral figure seemed to float out of it, its body swaying and coiling like a venomous snake as it crept toward her.
The Metal Mentor’s left palm snapped open. From the tips of her metal fingers, a blade resembling a fingernail shot out, then sliced down savagely! It seemed capable of cleaving not just the air,
