While the guys opposite them were visibly unnerved, Fang Senyan was enduring an immense agony; the muscles in his back were spasming violently, almost coiling into a single mass, the pain threatening to twist every nerve in his body into a knot. Simply maintaining his current walking posture was the absolute limit, let alone engaging in combat.
To be honest, only after activating this ability for the first time did Fang Senyan realize how monstrous the resulting negative side effects were. Frankly, he would rather take a penalty of a few points to his base stats than endure that torment again!
It was fortunate that Fang Senyan had aimed his Wither Impact toward a distance, rather than trying to maximize profit by striking the entire enemy force. If he had landed directly among them, the initial sensation might have been exhilarating, but he certainly wouldn't have been able to instantly eliminate the remaining foes.
Not even close to an instant kill; he wouldn't even have managed to hit everyone with the shockwave! And then... Fang Senyan would have been subjected to a frenzied mob beating, the equivalent of delivering himself on a platter. Thankfully, Fang Senyan's sudden entrance was truly stunning; he shattered the enemy's recognized strongest point with a single blow! This strike instantly silenced the crowd, and everyone facing him was involuntarily thinking two things: Did he have any similar skills? And how long until he could deploy this move again?
In that moment of hesitation, Fang Senyan gradually regained his footing, his body slowly starting to adapt to the pain, which was now beginning to recede. But just then, that intensely penetrating, fierce sound of a gunshot rang out once more!
This shot felt like a flash of light; even with Fang Senyan's strength, he was pierced through, losing his center of gravity and balance, flung backward over ten meters. A long, conical spray of blood could be clearly seen erupting from his back. Immediately following this, another terrifying, massive fireball whistled and spun toward him.
This shot and fireball, seemingly ordinary, were executed as a perfectly timed, long-range two-hit combo. The immense recoil and damage from the sniper rifle were powerful enough that by the time the victim was violently thrown backward, the fireball would already be screaming toward them.
The sniper rifle was a physical attack; the fireball was a magical attack. No matter which aspect the opponent focused on defending, they were guaranteed to suffer severe harm.
However, the attackers had absolutely not anticipated that Fang Senyan, blasted backward by the sniper shot, would abruptly and forcefully twist in mid-air using his core strength after being pushed back seven or eight meters, violently throwing himself into the nearby metal ravine! As a result, even though the fireball detonated timely, the damage it inflicted on him was limited—at most, just the shockwave’s residual impact.
"This man..." The one wielding the sniper rifle had a strikingly long shock of white hair. His stubble was shaved down to a ghastly greenish hue, and his nose was strangely flattened. His eyes appeared somewhat unfocused, like a common case of strabismus, but only when he briefly made eye contact with someone did his gaze instantly sharpen, seeming capable of excavating the thoughts from the very bottom of one's heart.
"What is it, Pacino?" asked the person who launched the fireball.
Pacino stared into the distance and said with uncertainty: "The minimum distance this man should have been knocked back by my shot was thirteen meters. Yet, after being repelled seven meters, he regained control of his body! Then he skillfully evaded the majority of Old A's fireball. I've only ever encountered this level of control in one other type of person."
Old A, whose eye sockets were deep-set, took out a spherical flask filled with a cerulean potion. He chugged it down noisily and then spoke slowly: "Which type...?" Pacino narrowed one eye, looking through his scope: "Do you remember the team we encountered last time? The one with that guy named Skull?"
"Of course I remember. That greedy pig actually consumed an Epic-grade item!" Old A grumbled. "That item shouldn't have gone to that damned Cui Nuo; it was handed over to the enemy for nothing."
Pacino paused for a moment before continuing with relish: "I sent Skull flying a full fifteen meters before he regained control of his body."
Old A was attempting to light a cigarette with a match, but the match suddenly snapped with a crack. A fluctuation finally entered his tone: "That strong!!"
Pacino chuckled: "I doubt it's possible. This fellow must have used some kind of item."
The surrounding people breathed a collective sigh of relief, nodding repeatedly: "Yes, yes, it must have been a damned item."
But Fang Senyan truly had not used any items!!!
However, managing to struggle free from the massive knockback force generated by Pacino required more than just physical stamina; strength and stamina were equally indispensable. At this moment, Fang Senyan was certainly stronger than Skull, but perhaps not by as large a margin as imagined.
After securing his initial success, Fang Senyan dropped into the city's metal storm drain, his first priority being to bind his wounds, bandage them, and take medicine. Although his breath was scorching and his heart hammered as if boiling water, his mind was incredibly meticulous and finely tuned, as calm as freshly melted ice.
"Hmm, their coordination is quite skilled. That sniper and fire mage combination is extremely potent. If it weren't for the MT, an ordinary Awakened hit by their combo would likely be instantly dead. Wait, that guy seems to have dropped something."
Instantly, Fang Senyan noticed that having killed Yani Gan, he had been awarded five Merit Points—this included the bonus for slaying an Awakened person and the boost from being a team sub-leader. During the loot extraction, Yani Gan’s strangely shaped shield had dropped.

Description: This is purported to be a sacred relic personally crafted by the Prophet Moses. Although definitive records prove this legend false, this simple-looking shield was revered as a holy object and enshrined in the Marhan Grand Cathedral for over 2,600 years prior to modern verification. Therefore, the potent Holy power imbued within it is certainly not inferior to any genuine relic. Due to the inherent nature of the Prophet Moses, its attributes trend toward balance—no single capability is overwhelmingly strong, nor is any particularly weak. Everyone can find some form of enhancement they desire on it—though the intensity of that enhancement may not align perfectly with the owner's wishes.
While examining the shield's stats, Fang Senyan was already bent over, moving swiftly along the ground, quickly turning into a side passage. However, just as Fang Senyan had sprinted about fifty or sixty meters, he suddenly felt a massive shove from behind! He instantly lost his footing and tumbled forward uncontrollably! This was a completely involuntary action; crudely put, even if there were a pile of fire or a patch of dog excrement directly in front of him, Fang Senyan would have to charge straight into it, regardless of his willingness.
Fortunately, Fang Senyan's immediate path was neither a bonfire nor excrement, but an open corridor.
Yet, Fang Senyan’s current strength was already immense—describing it as the strength of nine bulls and two tigers would not be an exaggeration. The force coming from behind left him utterly incapable of resistance... Just how colossal must that power have been?
It was the airwave! The terrifying shockwave emanating from an explosion!!
Ronnie was already roaring at the top of his lungs in the team channel: "Boss!! Careful! There's an incredibly abnormal Summoner among them! That guy went completely mad and summoned a terrifyingly powerful Bishop Triple-Barrel Self-Propelled Artillery to attack you!"
"I %¥¥¥!" Fang Senyan's eardrums were buzzing violently. An ordinary person might have suffered internal injuries and bled out from the shockwave. Even so, Fang Senyan felt his entire body going numb.
