Dong Si was already rapidly formulating plans for escape and seeking aid in his mind. From the casual, almost effortless way Fang Senyan had neutralized his attack, Dong Si understood one crucial thing: the hidden strength of the man before him was terrifyingly profound, like an iceberg floating on the ocean—only a fraction visible above the water, while the mass submerged below was immeasurably vast!

Then, Dong Si saw the weapon, blazing with a blood-red light.

He began calculating his current health points. Those who survived this long always possessed such foresight. In his assessment, Fang Senyan’s weapon must pack an immense punch, but after a single strike, he should certainly regain the ability to move. Following that, the immediate deployment of an Elixir of Honor for a full recovery, coupled with activating Sudden Stealth and Sprint, then signaling for help—a seamless chain of actions... If he could just hold out for ten seconds, his nearby companions would swarm in. Even with three heads and six arms, he couldn't escape their frantic, wolf-pack pursuit!

Next, Dong Si began to fall. Just as he predicted, the opponent’s crimson sword light flashed, piercing through his right thigh. The razor-sharp edge effortlessly severed the tendons and blood vessels of his leg, inflicting severe damage. While the power was astonishing, it was still within the range of Dong Si’s estimation.

Upon landing, Dong Si instinctively rolled away. Although this aggravated the injury to his leg, the Elixir of Honor was instantly used in the following second, which should have restored his health back to MAX in one go. Thus, he paid no mind to such minor details.

However, the script Dong Si had so carefully constructed took a sharp detour right here!

Because after consuming the Elixir of Honor, he stood up confidently and activated Sprint. He took one step, only to find his right leg completely unable to bear his weight, causing him to violently pitch over to the right.

At this moment, he was horrified to discover that his health bar was hovering precariously on the danger line, showing no sign of rising whatsoever. That bottle of Elixir of Honor might as well have been wasted!

Dong Si instantly plunged into a state of icy dread, as if falling into a nightmare. Being quick-witted and relatively calm, his first action was to check the combat log. There, he saw the merciless notification:

“Your leg has been affected by the Power of Extinction.”

“You will be considered as having an un-data-ized body. All medications from the Nightmare Space will be ineffective. Wounds can only be treated by conventional medical means, recovering at the normal human rate of healing. Any resulting disability cannot be restored by the Space or any medicinal agent until the Power of Extinction within the wound dissipates.”

Reading this, Dong Si instantly recalled something—a legend he had heard long, long ago:

“Extinction... Power??? Is this weapon the Demonic Sword Apophis???”

“Demonic... Sword... A.p.o.p.h.i.s....” No one answered him. The last thing Dong Si saw was the blood-red sword light flashing again. Then, he completely plunged into darkness.

Dong Si’s death awarded Fang Senyan three achievement points, and the gleaming silver monkey wrench also dropped out; it certainly looked impressive.

This silver scenario weapon was reinforced to +7, which somewhat compensated for its slightly insufficient base attack power. Furthermore, it possessed three invaluable traits.

The first trait: When attacking any mechanical creature, damage is guaranteed to increase by 200%, and half of the theoretical damage converts to true damage.

The second trait: When striking an enemy’s head, it has a 33% chance to cause stun.

The third trait: When attacking an enemy with this item, there is a 10% chance to knock the enemy back.

However, its weakness was equally obvious: it was classified as a tool, not a weapon specifically forged for killing. Consequently, its base attack power was very low. In essence, its +7 attack power was comparable to a regular, un-reinforced silver scenario weapon... This is why Dong Si used it—he possessed the ability to enchant it with fire to boost its damage, and the 33% stun chance was highly useful.

Under normal circumstances, this item only held collectible value. It only became a true killer weapon when facing specific enemies, such as those encountered in a Transformers world.

Therefore, this was the kind of item that required "selling to a connoisseur" to fetch a good price; otherwise, even if sold, it would fetch a low sum. It was much like a Chevrolet Camaro in the real world—most buyers were drawn in by the movie connection or the Autobots. Without that factor, not many people would be willing to spend that much money on the car.

So, Fang Senyan casually tossed this equipment to **to consume as extra fuel. This wasn't just about enriching the relevant database; it was because ** expended energy when switching between different weapons/equipment. Where did that energy come from? By devouring these items, of course.

Weapons/equipment without a Weapon Soul yielded less energy upon consumption, while those with a Soul provided more. However, the supply-demand relationship wasn't strained; devouring one silver scenario piece was enough energy to support one high-intensity battle.

Having swiftly executed Dong Si, Fang Senyan returned to Ronnie, finding his condition extremely dire. Not only were the cursed parasites on his limbs beginning a full-scale counterattack, but those on his torso were attempting to invade his internal organs.

Given Fang Senyan’s amateur healing proficiency, even if he managed to clear the parasites from the torso, the time taken would be enough for the limb parasites to breach his body.

Facing this situation, Fang Senyan sighed and looked at Ronnie, saying:

“Tough luck, mate.”

After uttering those four words, Fang Senyan decisively raised his weapon. Oh, he didn't forget to transform the bloodied Demonic Sword Apophis into the +13 West, otherwise Ronnie would truly be ruined... Moments later, the unlucky Ronnie was once again reduced to stumps. His severed limbs, lacking the protection of a data-ized body from the Contractor, completely decomposed and rotted within a few short minutes, turning into something like mud. Even his once rock-hard bones became porous like decaying wood.

The bizarre parasites, having gained ample nutrients, began to grow wildly, spitting out sizzling acid. Even stone was being corroded, let alone flesh. Moreover, these parasites skillfully controlled the amount and spread of the acid, lightly carving small holes into the rock wherever they wished.

In Fang Senyan's view, Ronnie’s limbs quickly decayed entirely, replaced by clumps resembling tangled balls of yarn, which then burrowed into the nearby rocks and vanished without a trace, presumably waiting to parasitically attack anyone who passed by.

The parasites within Ronnie's body also seemed to sense the danger, as his surface skin bulged unevenly in several spots. Fang Senyan spotted the wiggling tail of one worm and pinched it with tweezers.

With Fang Senyan’s current eyesight and hand strength, he managed to secure a precise grip without much effort. He then began to pull it out. To his surprise, a living parasite struggled wildly compared to a dead one. Fortunately, Fang Senyan had the advantage in strength, gripping it firmly and slowly drawing it out.

Unexpectedly, Ronnie let out a pained groan. The parasite, sensing panic, began desperately vomiting acid without regard for anything else... Ronnie suffered immensely.

After dealing with that single parasite, Ronnie looked as if he had lost half his life, breathing shallowly. Fang Senyan paused, then used his knife to cut open the flesh. He located the tail of another wriggling parasite and, with a lightning-fast hand, clamped down and yanked it out with equal force and speed!

Instantly, this parasite was pulled out, wriggling frantically, before it even had a chance to spit acid. Ronnie, meanwhile, appeared to suffer less damage. Seeing this method worked, Fang Senyan repeated the three-step principle: “Cut flesh” + “Locate worm tail” + “Lightning extraction.” In no time, he had pulled out about thirty of these bizarre and vicious parasites from Ronnie’s body.

Normally, a person suffering such grievous injuries—amputation and being tormented—would die very quickly. But Ronnie’s body was data-ized; his wounds instantly contracted and stopped bleeding after amputation, so the trauma wasn't too severe. Now that the internal threat was eliminated by Fang Senyan, he actually began to slowly recover his life force.

When Fang Senyan cut open Ronnie’s abdomen and meticulously scraped out a fist-sized mass of dense, pale-white eggs by following the internal paths, the abnormal "parasitized" status finally cleared, and Ronnie slipped into a deep slumber.

Surprisingly, the assault Fang Senyan had anticipated never materialized. After dealing with Dong Si, he expected the next wave of attacks within ten minutes. However, even after twenty minutes had passed, there was no sign of activity. It seemed these people, while staking out the location, lacked vigilance.

In truth, Fang Senyan was misjudging the staking party. Although they were Contractors, they had absolutely no training for such monotonous, tedious staking duties. These men had been waiting there for over ten days. The first few days were fine, but recently they had become extremely bored and exhausted. They were all speculating that Ronnie had died in the trial and had long since stopped paying close attention.

Some good news for everyone: the benchmark author on Qidian, the Platinum Grandmaster, and one of my favorite writers, Lord Tiaowu, has returned and launched a new book. Peerless Prodigy - Laughing until sorrowful, raging until manic! I hope those who have the affinity will check it out. The beginning is very engaging; the protagonist can traverse back and forth through time and is captured by a sexy, long-legged dominant female lead... To be continued.
