It seemed that no matter where he stood, no matter how many people surrounded him, these individuals were always profoundly alone.

Utterly out of sync with any surrounding environment! It was as if, amidst the vast heavens and earth, only he existed. A human being, alone.

That was a magnificent solitude!

It was also a desolation of deep loneliness!

Could this be the price one must pay to become a Supreme Master? Or perhaps, is it the chill of the highest peak? If I ever reach such a realm one day, will I be as lonely and isolated as they are?

However, I believe that if we were to rank purely on the state of profound loneliness, I myself have likely reached the absolute apex. Jun Moxie coldly snorted within his heart: Though my power may not match yours, I am far lonelier than all of you!

Jun Moxie pondered continuously in his mind, yet he saw figures flash again, and two more individuals ascended onto the rooftop. White beards drifted, their expressions grave. The newcomers were none other than the Third and Ninth Elders of Fengxue Yincheng.

“The arrival of two Supremes honors us greatly, and Brother Wen’s immortal presence is also revealed here. It is the utmost glory for Yincheng! Might I invite the three of you down for a cup of fine tea?” The Third Elder cupped his hands and smiled.

He could clearly see that the three opposing figures were already poised for battle, yet at this moment, he was the leading figure among the Yincheng arrivals, and under no circumstances could he lose Yincheng’s graceful bearing! Therefore, even though his words were completely out of place, he forced himself to speak them.

Lei Wubei let out a piercing, mournful laugh, completely ignoring the Third Elder’s inquiry, and roared, his voice shaking the air: “Ying Bokuang! My sixth disciple has broken bones and torn sinews, doomed to lifelong disability—was that your doing?!”

The Third Elder’s face flushed with embarrassment. Regardless of his personal strength, he represented Fengxue Yincheng here! To be so blatantly disregarded by Lei Wubei made his anger surge. But seeing Lei Wubei’s evidently frenzied state, he ultimately suppressed the rage boiling in his heart.

Ying Bokuang let out a hearty laugh and dismissed it lightly: “Brother Lei, why such anger? He was merely a disciple. I was merely doing you a kindness by disciplining him for you! Furthermore, you have ten disciples. What difference does it make if one or two are crippled! Oh yes, he seemed to be the only one among your ten disciples who hadn't reached the Tianxuan realm. Such trash—what’s the harm in crippling him? I was helping you clean house, saving you the awkwardness of having to do it yourself out of sentimentality, wouldn't you agree? Hahahaha!”

The mighty aura emanating from Lei Wubei suddenly fell silent at this moment. An invisible undercurrent seemed to surge slowly around him. He fixed his gaze on Ying Bokuang, killing intent growing ever stronger in his eyes. He slowly nodded, his voice low and deep: “Good! Very good! Ying Bokuang, you truly live up to your seniority as a martial uncle. Dealing with a junior descendant—you certainly are adept, making it look effortless!”

Ying Bokuang let out a sneer and looked down upon Lei Wubei with disdain. He laughed coldly: “What, you want revenge for your disciple? Lei Wubei, then come! We have waited thirty years for this chance! I’ve long felt that the rankings back then were not quite right!”

Lei Wubei suppressed a smile and said: “Don’t be so eager to die; Ying Bokuang, I am very interested to know what my disciple did to offend you? That you would stoop so low to strike so viciously against a junior?”

Ying Bokuang replied coldly: “Offend me? Does he deserve that? I just found him irritating! Lei Wubei, is this reason sufficient?”

When Shi Changxiao and others were attacking Ying Bokuang, Lei Wubei’s sixth disciple had attempted to steal the Xuan Dan from Ying Bokuang’s person, nearly causing Ying Bokuang to lose face severely. But how could Ying Bokuang explain such a matter?!

Regardless of whether there was a reason or not, the condescending tone of Lei Wubei’s questioning meant Ying Bokuang would never explain anything. To desecrate a Supreme was worthy of death; among Supremes, one must never bow!

Whose fault it was, or who was right or wrong—strength was the only language that mattered!

“That reason is very good, truly very good! Ying Bokuang, I will remember that reason of yours!” Lei Wubei let out a sorrowful, grand laugh, then turned towards Wen Cangyu, his voice sounding solemn: “Brother Wen, are you one of the people from that place? Stationed in the Tianxiang Empire?”

Wen Cangyu smiled gently and elegantly: “Supreme Lei certainly has eyes that pierce through all things! Yes, I, Wen, am indeed the Guardian of the Tianxiang Empire for the Supreme Covenant!”

Lei Wubei slightly closed his eyes. The world dimmed without his ghost-fire-like flickering gaze, but in the next instant, he opened them again, and a wave of cruel, venomous chartreuse shot from his eyes, making those nearby feel as if chilling winds howled and ghostly fires flickered all around; his voice was incredibly cold: “Wen Cangyu, being the Guardian of the Supreme Covenant is not a justification for murdering four of my disciples! Do you think that because you guard the Covenant, you can act without restraint?”

Wen Cangyu sighed faintly, looking up at the sky, a thin layer of anger flashing across his face. He was somewhat uncomfortable with Lei Wubei’s relentless, indiscriminate aggression, but remembering his duty, he took a deep breath and finally suppressed his rising fury.

He pondered for a long time before lowering his head, meeting Lei Wubei’s gaze levelly, and stating calmly: “Supreme Lei, whether this matter is right or wrong will be judged by all. I will not waste breath arguing principles with you. However, there is one thing I must make clear. Believe it or not! Your disciple was not killed by me!”

Wen Cangyu said solemnly: “I will only explain this once! Whether you believe it or accept it, your questioning and mockery today, I shall certainly pay back by seeking guidance from Supreme Lei’s superior skills in the future!”

Lei Wubei remained silent for a moment, then said indifferently: “Since Brother Wen puts it this way, how could I possibly not believe you!” His tone was suddenly sharp and hard, but immediately, the deadly intent vanished, replaced by an air of peace. His momentum settled, finally balanced! “However, if Brother Wen wishes to impart his wisdom, I, Lei, am ready to accompany you at any time!”

“But, who exactly killed my disciple? Could Brother Wen enlighten me? If Brother Wen is willing to tell the truth, Lei Wubei is prepared to apologize for my previous disrespect!” Lei Wubei withdrew the hands hidden in his sleeves, letting them hang by his sides—this was a gesture of friendliness.

Given Lei Wubei’s status, for him to speak to another person like this regarding his disciple’s misfortune was incredibly rare, even if that person possessed the strength of the Shenxuan level!

“That person’s origins are mysterious and unpredictable, and his strength is equally unfathomable. I, myself, am quite interested in him, but alas, I have absolutely no leads whatsoever. I was even framed and discredited by him without his presence being felt. This person’s methods are superb; I am truly convinced!”

Wen Cangyu laughed heartily, openly admitting his shortcomings, yet showing no shame. He displayed a rare magnanimity towards being framed, as if this event were a trivial matter, light as wind and clouds, not worth a second glance.

“However, to find that person, Supreme Lei must personally take action. I have already admitted defeat; I am powerless!”

“In that case, I must thank Brother Wen!” Lei Wubei cupped his hands, a cold glint flashing in his eyes: “Brother Wen, please proceed. I apologize for the intrusion and any offense given today!”

Wen Cangyu laughed heartily, returned the bow, and said: “Mountains are high and rivers long; we shall meet again! I have official duties to attend to, so please excuse my departure!”

He kept his hands clasped in the salute gesture, and his body suddenly lifted as if a falling leaf caught by a fierce gust of wind, floating up toward the sky. Moving backward, his slender form flickered like a piece of paper in the night sky twice, then vanished without a trace.

Young Master Jun watched from the side, cursing inwardly: Damn it, it’s that simple and easy for these Supreme-level figures to clear up misunderstandings? How could the Cold-Blooded Supreme Lei Wubei believe someone so easily? Just because someone said they didn’t do it, the Fifth Supreme among the Eight Supremes believed him immediately!

Can Mr. Wen lie? Is he really that gullible?

Truly speechless!

While he was grumbling internally, Jun Moxie actually understood. Once cultivation reached their level, there was simply no need to lie! At such a height, no one feared repercussions! Explanations, however, were surprisingly rare!

Generally speaking, even when mistaken, it was never customary to explain oneself, because an explanation itself constituted an admission of weakness!

Ying Bokuang was a perfect example of this earlier!

And after Wen Cangyu offered his explanation, Lei Wubei immediately believed him. Furthermore, his attitude towards the other immediately changed! Because, given Wen Cangyu’s status, if he had chosen not to explain, even Lei Wubei would have been powerless!

But he did explain. Although his Xuan Gong was inferior to Lei Wubei’s, in terms of his status, he had given Lei Wubei a tremendous measure of respect!

“That person from that place?” Jun Moxie’s attention immediately shifted to that phrase, and he pondered secretly: What is that place? Why does it seem that even someone like Lei Wubei, among the Eight Supremes, appears somewhat wary of it? Could there be some other hidden complication involved?

Lei Wubei turned to face Ying Bokuang, hands clasped behind his back, and coldly snorted: “Old Eagle, now it’s just the two of us left.” He suddenly flicked his sleeve towards the Third and Ninth Elders and barked: “This is none of your concern. You are not of Hanfengxue, and you have no right to interfere in this matter. Withdraw!”

A fierce gust of wind whistled out. The Third and Ninth Elders felt a sting on their faces. Although angry in their hearts, circumstances dictated their actions, and they could do nothing but cup their hands in salute. Following the forceful gust, they leaped down, resentment brewing in their hearts: Wait until our Yincheng people arrive, then we’ll see if you still dare to be so arrogant!

Ying Bokuang laughed loudly, stood tall, and shot up into the air like a soaring eagle, roaring: “What profound master-disciple affection! If you want revenge for your disciple, follow me!”

Lei Wubei let out a sharp whistle, like a thousand souls pouring out of the gates of hell simultaneously. His body rose slowly, swiftly following Ying Bokuang. In the blink of an eye, the silhouettes of the two disappeared.

The stars glittered, and the night was cool as water.

Jun Moxie silently deployed his Yin-Yang Evasion technique, trailing behind the two, following closely all the way.

It had to be said, Supreme strength was truly Supreme strength. Jun Moxie’s speed, exerting the Yin-Yang Evasion technique to its maximum, was absolutely world-shocking! Yet, tailing these two, he felt a noticeable strain!

In other words, the only person capable of tracking them covertly was this great master Jun. Any other expert in Tianxiang, even that enigmatic Mr. Wen, would never be able to keep up!

Ying Bokuang’s Eagle Soaring technique was already a marvel on the Xuanxuan Continent, the utmost reliance of the Great Eagle Supreme in claiming supremacy among the Eight Supremes. This time, to deliver a sharp lesson to Lei Wubei, he naturally exerted his full power. Lei Wubei dared not slack off either; consequently, the two naturally began another contest in their art of lightness skill!

Although the two had only exchanged sharp words and not engaged in actual combat since meeting, in reality, they had already competed in two rounds!

The previous clash of sound waves was a battle of sonic force. Ying Bokuang was indeed slightly inferior in terms of Xuan Qi cultivation, resulting in a slight disadvantage—a fact both were keenly aware of; therefore, this current contest of speed was the second round of their confrontation!
