Although the Blood Emperor was also in the Tenth Heaven Realm, the Blood Pool's secret arts were by no means the pinnacle cultivation techniques of the Five-Element Immortal Sect; within the Blood Pool's secrets, there was no cultivation method pertaining to the creation of spatial domains.

Thus, although he had entered the Ninth Heaven Realm before Ji Changkong, he did not know how to utilize the power of his Ninth Heaven Realm to conjure a new space out of thin air, which is why he was so passive.

It was precisely for this reason that the moment the Blood Emperor was dragged into the Illusory Void Realm and discovered he had lost contact with the Five Elements Continent, he immediately began to panic.

He could not create a space from nothing, but he had heard of the immense power of such esoteric secret arts, and he understood that within this strange space, Ji Changkong was the Creator, an omnipotent god!

If he lacked sufficient power to destroy this space, or lacked an equivalent method to tear his way out, he could only be restricted everywhere within this realm, until his strength was slowly ground away, rendering him a captive of the space’s maker.

Within the Illusory Void Realm, the Blood Emperor unleashed one secret art from the Blood Pool after another, desperately attempting to shatter the Illusory Void Realm with sheer brute force.

Alas, the Blood Pool’s secret arts were renowned for their strangeness and subtlety, not for having overwhelmingly domineering techniques capable of toppling mountains or draining seas.

All the various Blood Pool secret arts, when unleashed upon the Illusory Void Realm, were like massive stones tossed into the ocean; while they caused tremendous waves, they could not truly change the ocean itself, and after a short while, the Illusory Void Realm would return to calm.

Inside the Illusory Void Realm, watching the Blood Emperor aimlessly wreak havoc upon the sky and earth, Ji Changkong smirked coldly, not rushing to strike down the Blood Emperor.

Within the Illusory Void Realm he had created, he could control the flow of time. Once inside, he had severed his connection with the Five Elements Continent; the passage of time there would not affect him within this space.

Therefore, he had ample time to deal with the Blood Emperor.

Since the Blood Emperor was determined to escape the Illusory Void Realm, yet his own power was insufficient to tear the realm apart, Ji Changkong was naturally delighted to watch him slowly deplete his own strength.

Soon, the Blood Emperor, who had been attacking the Illusory Void Realm fruitlessly, realized this course of action was untenable. He gradually ceased his destruction of the realm, instead concentrating his power, preparing to meet Ji Changkong’s killing blow.

If he could not destroy the Illusory Void Realm, and possessed no similar method to burst forth from it, then his only path to survival was to slay Ji Changkong.

Once the Creator—the master of the realm—died, the space condensed by the master would naturally vanish. Of course, everyone knew how incredibly difficult it was to kill the Creator within a space created by him, but the Blood Emperor had no choice; this was his only lifeline remaining!

When Ji Changkong sensed the Blood Emperor cease his futile efforts, he immediately understood that the Blood Emperor would no longer waste his internal reserves; the Blood Emperor had prepared for a decisive, life-or-death battle with him.

By this time, the Blood Emperor’s strength was already more than half depleted. Coupled with his unhealed existing injuries, facing Ji Changkong within the Illusory Void Realm was surely a death sentence.

"Blood Emperor, I told you long ago that those who rely on mere schemes, like yourself, often meet a miserable end. You should have been content staying in the East Sea. How dare you rampage in the Central Lands?" Ji Changkong's figure finally manifested within the Illusory Void Realm. Like a celestial deity, he stood a hundred zhang tall, able to manipulate everything at will within this space he had forged. This technique of transforming his body into an infinitely vast form was mere sleight of hand to him.

"Your greatest mistake was challenging me! I originally had no interest in the feud between Xuanyuan and the Blood Pool. Had you not attacked the Sky Peeper Wyvern at Yunmeng Marsh, I might never have moved against your Blood Pool. But since you brought this upon yourself, I certainly won't be polite!"

Ji Changkong spoke unhurriedly, first using the immense aura he condensed in the Illusory Void Realm to form roaring lightning bolts. Using the fury in his heart as the catalyst, he transformed the Illusory Void Realm into massive, surging waves, then used this crushing pressure to deal with the Blood Emperor.

To him, these bolts of lightning formed purely from his aura might be illusory, yet, to the Blood Emperor, they were truly present.

These lightning bolts, born purely from spiritual presence, roared within the Illusory Void Realm, fiercely bombarding the Blood Emperor.

What was terrifying was that, within the Illusory Void Realm, neither the thunder nor the lightning would err by the slightest margin!

As long as a thought crossed Ji Changkong's mind, these natural disasters originating from the Illusory Void Realm would strike the Blood Emperor with absolute precision, hitting any part of his body!

Here, he could truly manipulate the forces between heaven and earth without the slightest difficulty or awkwardness. All manner of natural disasters rained down, smashing the Blood Emperor until he could do nothing but cower. Immediately afterward, flames erupted from all around the Blood Emperor, instantly engulfing him.

Only then did Ji Changkong truly strike. The colossal Ji Changkong, like a heaven-sent god, wielded world-destroying power with every gesture. The might of the World Annihilation Gauntlet was not diminished in the Illusory Void Realm; rather, its power was greatly amplified, beating the Blood Emperor until he vomited blood continuously.

The already severely injured Blood Emperor had absolutely no room to fight back in this bizarre space, enduring ruthless assault after assault.

The natural disasters and Ji Changkong's furious bombardment hammered the Blood Emperor. In just a short time, the Blood Emperor was finished, hanging onto life by a thread. The power within him gradually drained away, and his body was soaked in blood. However, the Blood Emperor's eyes remained crimson, the endless hatred within them undiminished in the slightest.

Ji Changkong smiled and nodded, murmuring, "It seems your hatred for me is nearly endless. To prevent your soul from having any chance of rebirth, I must destroy your soul right here and now. I will make sure your soul's imprint vanishes completely, so you never have the chance to seek revenge in this lifetime!"

As the words fell, Ji Changkong summoned the Primordial Core within the Illusory Void Realm, first using it to cover the Blood Emperor’s head, then continuing to violently torment the Blood Emperor with the power of the Illusory Void Realm and his own strength.

Not long after, the Blood Emperor’s physical body was utterly shattered, and the blood within him began to boil uncontrollably. His vital essence seemed determined to tear itself free from his body and escape the Illusory Void Realm.

Ji Changkong sneered, "I knew your Blood Pool secret methods were peculiar. Your blood is different from ordinary blood; it contains all your power. It seems that unless your soul is completely destroyed, your blood will not cease this futile struggle."

Saying this, Ji Changkong prepared to strike first to annihilate the Blood Emperor’s soul.

But just as he was about to act, Ji Changkong suddenly remembered something. He frowned, musing for a moment, then loudly exclaimed, "I almost forgot. You just extracted the blood of the Sky Peeper Wyvern, and besides that, there was the blood of some Seven Star Heavenly Scholars. While those scholars were irrelevant to me, since you extracted the Sky Peeper Wyvern's blood, it must have been injured..."

"Hmm, it seems I should make you vomit that blood back, returning it all to her. Oh, right! She also consumes living beings, and the more powerful the being she devours, the more strength she gains! Haha! If she were to swallow a Ninth Heaven Realm expert like you, I wonder what she would become? I am certain she would be much better off than she is now!"

Terror finally flickered in the Blood Emperor’s eyes.

Ji Changkong suddenly grew excited. He temporarily halted his lethal assault on the Blood Emperor, instead first casting the Soul-Calming Dirge of the Purgatory Ghost Tribe, causing the Blood Emperor’s spirit to become listless. Following that, he used the power of the Soul Control Crown, employing the Soul Driving technique against the dying Blood Emperor.

Once all that was done, Ji Changkong suddenly withdrew the Illusory Void Realm. At that moment, only a few seconds had passed on the Five Elements Continent.

Turning his head to glance at the visibly exhausted Sky Peeper Wyvern, observing the mix of sorrow and faint joy in its eyes, Ji Changkong displayed a rare calmness and spoke softly, "Don't worry, you will be fine. What you lost, I will compensate you for doubly."

With a beckoning hand, the power contained within the Blood Emperor’s boiling blood was dispersed. Under Ji Changkong’s control, the Blood Emperor’s body rapidly flew toward the Sky Peeper Wyvern, halting right before its gaping, monstrous maw.

"Eat him!" Ji Changkong commanded.

The Sky Peeper Wyvern's eyes suddenly lit up. Its ferocious nature prevented it from refusing such a delicacy. With almost no hesitation, the Wyvern swallowed the Blood Emperor’s body whole and began to chew violently.

Ji Changkong’s eyes shone brightly as he watched quietly.

If the Blood Emperor's soul were destroyed, the power in his blood would quickly dissipate into the universe. Therefore, he had not killed the Blood Emperor first and then thrown him to the Sky Peeper Wyvern.

To ensure the Blood Emperor's body retained maximum power without dissipation, he went through extra measures, temporarily suppressing the Blood Emperor's soul so that it could not escape or commit suicide during the process.

The Blood Emperor possessed the cultivation of the Ninth Heaven Realm; even though he was near death, Ji Changkong could only temporarily use the Soul Driving technique to subdue the Blood Emperor's soul. Moreover, he had employed the Soul Control Crown; otherwise, he would have been forced to destroy the Blood Emperor’s soul first before tossing the corpse to the Wyvern.

If that had been the case, the power within the Blood Emperor would have been greatly diminished, perhaps only enough to restore the vitality the Sky Peeper Wyvern had lost, rather than allowing the Wyvern to advance further, as was now possible.
