"I have no issues, but I still hope to move as quickly as possible... Hm, the person you're looking to question should be a super-rich man, your former sponsor—Mr. Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, I presume?"

Doctor Octopus glanced impatiently at Fang Senyan. "Correct. If that's the case, his corporation is involved in the military-industrial sector, and he's a major entrepreneur. He should certainly receive an invitation."

"Beep, beep, beep... Hello, I need Harry, Harry Osborn. What? He's busy? You must connect me immediately!"

A sweet voice replied, "Please wait a moment. Yes, yes, transferring now..."

Immediately following, the Green Goblin’s impatient voice cut in, "Octopus, what is the meaning of this madness?? I'm tied up right now."

Doctor Octopus decided to be direct, or perhaps he simply lacked the patience for pleasantries. "Harry, have you heard anything about Noah's Ark? Tell me immediately."

Green Goblin Harry immediately let out an unnatural laugh. "Hahaha, you actually believe in such nonsense? That’s rich! You’re killing me!"

Doctor Octopus said gravely, "Harry, tell me the truth! How long can you hide this? There are only ten-odd days left. Or should I perhaps ask someone else?"

Silence hung on the other end of the line for a moment. "...It seems there is something to it, but my clearance is still apparently under review."

Green Goblin Harry scoffed, filled with disdain. "You steal money just to buy a hamburger. Do you have a billion Euros? Oh, wait, one billion Euros per seat. You wouldn't leave your wife and daughter behind, would you? Do you have three billion Euros?"

"You...!! Get lost!" Doctor Octopus roared back, his voice laced with the fury of a man whose vital weakness had been struck, and he casually flung the phone across the room.

Fang Senyan, having overheard the exchange, couldn't help but chuckle. He never expected the famed Doctor Octopus to suffer the humiliation of being scorned as a pauper. However, he quickly sought to soothe the doctor, whose face was flushed crimson with anger. "Doctor, please don't worry. The government will likely prevent Mr. Osborn from boarding the Ark. They can't possibly bring an unstable element that could jeopardize their rule onto the vessel."

Doctor Octopus gasped, breathing heavily, his expression stunned. "What?"

Fang Senyan smiled faintly. "This is merely the government buying time. The Ark can, at best, save three to four hundred thousand people. This will inevitably lead to a significant downsizing of the military forces held by the government. Meanwhile, Mr. Osborn's personal power remains undiminished. In such a scenario, if Mr. Osborn harbors aspirations of becoming King, who would stand in his way?"

"So, it's almost certain he won't get a seat. This so-called review process is just a delaying tactic."

Hearing this, Doctor Octopus finally began to calm down. He snatched up the water pitcher nearby and gulped down a massive amount. Then, he immediately sprang up nervously. "Where is that damned research project base??? Damn it, we don't have much time! I need to start work right away! Oh, before that, I need to bring along Teresa and Henry!"

Doctor Octopus's original wife was named Rose, and they were deeply in love. But during a catastrophic nuclear leak, Doctor Octopus merged with his mechanical arms, and Rose died in an accident. During this period, Doctor Octopus was controlled by the will of the mechanical arms—the maddest and darkest time for him (which mostly involved frantic robbery to fund his scientific research).

Of course, this fanaticism was not sustainable. Just as a normal man cannot maintain a state of constant penile erection, Doctor Octopus eventually had to quiet down and face his life. It was then that Rose’s younger sister, Teresa, entered his life.

A lonely heart and body, coupled with a face so similar to his late wife, allowed Doctor Octopus to quickly rebuild a family and even have a child named Henry. This happiness, regained after loss, made Doctor Octopus cherish his family even more, which explained his current urgency. Firstly, he genuinely wanted to use the time effectively, and secondly, he was somewhat worried his status might be usurped by Iron Man! He certainly didn't have the money for a ticket!

"Finally, it’s done..." Watching Doctor Octopus and his family hastily pack their belongings, Fang Senyan stepped outside, lit a cigarette, and took a deep drag, allowing the nicotine to sink into his lungs and reward him with a sense of ease.

He looked up at the sky. For a moment, even the gloomy clouds and foul weather seemed pleasing to the eye. The torrent of thoughts that had flooded his mind upon entering this world had finally settled, and the heavy pressure on his shoulders eased considerably.

Suddenly, the phone on his waist rang. Fang Senyan answered to hear Zi’s voice, clearly fatigued but carrying an indescribable excitement. "Sailor, we did it. We just got word from the Cullen family—Mr. Stevenson from Sweden was saved in time by the timely arrival of the vampires. He was the last person on the list who hadn't been protected."

As Zi finished speaking, Fang Senyan immediately received a notification: "Silver Team: Ace, congratulations on completing Main Quest: Beginning of Salvation!"

"Minimum required rescues: Three. Maximum rescue capacity: Twenty-seven."

"Your actual rescue count: Twenty-seven."

"Mission Completion: Perfect!"

"Each member of your team will receive five Merit Points and five Free Base Attribute Point rewards."

"Your relationship level with every saved individual has automatically risen to Revered ~ Worship."

"You have received the bonus reward of delaying the world's end arrival by three hundred hours!"

"Reminder: The faction alliance you have formed has expanded to its maximum capacity. No more famous legendary figures in this world will join."

"Main Quest: Salvation II will commence within the next twelve hours."

Next, Fang Senyan rendezvoused with his faction members. Everyone was now racing against time. As soon as Doctor Octopus arrived, he immediately met with the members of the research team and Magneto to begin discussions.

Their greatest advantage, one that surpassed even the government's, was the precise disaster parameters of the impending apocalypse that Fang Senyan had brought with him.

This allowed them to target their efforts precisely. Most importantly, they knew how long the cataclysm would last and when the earth would return to normal, allowing for immediate planning regarding food and water supplies.

Because this was an unprecedented, sincere collaboration, the research group shattered the three major immediate problems in just two or three hours. If all materials and production lines went smoothly, the first airship, named 'Hope,' could undergo its maiden test flight in just three days.

According to the plan proposed by Doctor Octopus, every seven airships would form a semi-fixed formation. Six massive airships would arrange themselves in a hexagon, with the central cargo airship guarded in the middle. The cargo airship would have simple transport channels to dock with the other airships for supplying food and fresh water.

The purpose of this joint formation was to significantly enhance the safety of the airships. If a single massive airship experienced failure, it wouldn't crash directly but could descend slowly, relying on the buoyancy of the other six. Even in the event of a sudden emergency, the central cargo airship could actively sever the emergency connections to the failing airships and cast them out of the formation.

The attendees viewed the plan and the temporarily created 3D models and raised related questions, such as whether the gas inside the airships might explode. The research team members quickly provided answers.

Even those who hadn't made it to New York watched the meeting via video feed and were ultimately quite satisfied. They decided to invest every controllable resource into the project and opened the door to absorbing outside funding. Instantly, the wealth accumulated by Fang Senyan's group began to snowball.

Almost all investors were unprecedentedly generous, and they raised no objections to Fang Senyan’s intention to use this astonishing wealth to build additional airships—after all, the Earth was ending. What good were worthless real estate, gold, or bank accounts? It was better used to save more people—after 2012, population was the greatest wealth! What difference was there between an emperor with no subjects and a beggar?

The investors' sole requirement was that their positions on the airships must be the safest and best. This problem was easily solved: they would be housed on the central cargo airship within the fleet formation.

The cargo airship, situated at the core of the formation, occupied an intrinsic, central status. It primarily transported water, food, and even necessities for the post-apocalyptic period, such as seeds and machinery. Naturally, this guaranteed passenger comfort, and crucially, it held the authority to sever and jettison other airships from the formation. This arrangement ensured that even amidst the turbulence of the apocalypse, the investors remained at the heart of wealth and power—how could they not be satisfied?

With everything on track, Fang Senyan finally had a moment to rest. By this time, everyone involved in the plan had gathered in New York. Fang Senyan noticed that Mr. Carlisle Cullen was now accompanied by a timid Bella; it seemed their destined arrangement had come to pass. Furthermore, the patriarch of the Cullen family personally approached Fang Senyan to express his gratitude. If they hadn't encountered Fang Senyan and his group, the Cullen family would likely only have awakened to the impending doom upon its arrival, resulting in nothing less than extermination.
