Fang Senyan looked at Old Charlie, truthfully surprised that the man could indirectly control the demon Freddy. This was certainly an unexpected bonus, and more importantly, it meant that Old Charlie now possessed Freddy’s power to some degree! For Fang Senyan, who was short-handed, this was tremendous good news.

He immediately pulled out his mobile phone. Since the three-day safety period was confirmed, he dared to use the local transportation freely during this time: “Zi, you don’t need to go to the next target.”

“Uh, right, right, San-zai, your route has changed.”

“Reef saved a few people? OK, GODD, you don’t need to go to the cruise ship.”

Finally, Fang Senyan stood before Old Charlie and handed him a route map: “You know what I mean, don’t you?”

Old Charlie bowed slightly: “It is my honor to serve and ease the burden for the Master.”

And in Old Charlie’s right pupil, the demon Freddy began to laugh wildly with excitement: “Let’s go! I love the art of killing, perfect art!! Just thinking about it is exhilarating!”

Fifteen minutes later, Fang Senyan finally waited for a black RV. He stomped the accelerator, and the vehicle shot forward before unceremoniously cutting across the middle of the highway.

Such behavior was naturally provocative, so the RV driver immediately jumped out, still clutching a revolver, and shouted angrily: “Do you want to taste bullets?”

Fang Senyan ignored him and stated calmly: “I’m looking for Ms. Kumart Dally. Her profession should be a university professor.”

A woman in her fifties, wearing a royal blue suit, stepped out of the vehicle. She looked at Fang Senyan with suspicion: “That’s me.”

Fang Senyan suddenly moved, knocking out the driver and a nearby passenger, then looked at Professor Dally: “Professor, I knocked them out for their own good. Please come with me. You have underestimated the cruelty and shamelessness of the government.”

Professor Dally studied Fang Senyan and the unconscious people in surprise, frowning: “What are you talking about?”

Fang Senyan said lightly: “The 2012 apocalypse. Professor Dally, you planned to make such statements publicly, correct?”

Professor Dally closed her eyes painfully: “So you are also one of the informed. Yes, I believe everyone deserves the right to know. Everyone has the right to know when they are going to die!!”

“That’s why you were targeted for elimination.” Fang Senyan led her to the FBI car parked some distance away. All three FBI agents were dead. The cause of death for all was cardiac arrest, but their expressions before death varied: the team leader looked blissful, Carter’s was twisted in terror, and the last one showed extreme agony.

Fang Senyan searched the three bodies for their identification and tossed the documents to Professor Dally, then pointed down the highway ahead: “Do you know what they were doing here? They were waiting for your RV to pass by, and then…”

Fang Senyan picked up a remote control from nearby and pressed the button. A violent explosion immediately rocked the distant road, creating a staggering crater. Without a doubt, even a tank would have been destroyed, let alone an RV?

“Professor Dally, without my intervention, you would be dead now,” Fang Senyan concluded very plainly.

Professor Dally’s face was ashen. After all, not everyone could face death calmly, especially since Professor Dally’s motive for announcing the apocalypse was not entirely pure! Her real goal was the ticket off the doomed Earth; she never expected the government’s final offering to be a bomb!

Seeing her stunned state, Fang Senyan said nothing more, quietly waiting for her choice. Honestly, what choice did an ordinary professor have when being hunted by the state? Professor Dally remained motionless for a moment before letting out a bitter laugh: “Since the government wants to kill me, how long can I possibly live? And why did you save me?”

Fang Senyan said lightly: “Because we need strength, the strength of everyone! In this world, there are many people possessing great abilities who have been abandoned by the state because of it. But they are unwilling to wait for death. We are now uniting, pooling all our strength, naturally to find a path to survival.”

Professor Dally stared in astonishment for a moment, and a glimmer of expectation slowly lit up her eyes: “Could it be… could it be that that person isn’t a fraud?? He doesn’t even need to speak, I can hear him whispering in my mind? It’s real! Was your organization established by them?”

Hearing this, Fang Senyan’s heart gave a sudden jolt! Yet, maintaining his composure, he replied: “Our organization has too many people; I’m not sure who you are referring to. What are his characteristics?”

Professor Dally thought for a moment: “He looked like a kindly old man, rumored to be a doctor from a special agency. Five years ago, a student at our college suddenly fell ill with a strange disease—a rapid fever reaching forty-five degrees Celsius—but exhibited very strong aggression. This man, who was in a wheelchair, came and eventually took the student away. Some said he had special abilities, but more people thought he was a charlatan.”

Fang Senyan sighed and lowered his head, actually to hide his trembling hands and excited eyes.

A man in a wheelchair who could communicate telepathically… All these keywords seemed to hint at… that overwhelmingly powerful figure appearing in this world!! If this person showed up, then characters like Spider-Man or Blade were just trash!!

Fang Senyan suppressed the excitement surging in his heart: “Professor Dally, do you know any other details about him?”

Professor Dally thought seriously: “I seem to recall someone near him calling him ‘Headmaster,’ apparently in charge of a school for deaf, mute, and intellectually disabled youths.”

Fang Senyan narrowed his eyes: “Is the full name of that school called the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters?”

“Yes, I think so,” Professor Dally nodded.

Fang Senyan took a deep breath, then addressed Professor Dally: “Let’s go. On the blacklist, you were ranked eleventh to be killed. We now need to find another individual on the Ohio list: Mr. Kuwanze. I hope you can testify and persuade him to come with us, otherwise, he will just have to wait for death.”

Professor Dally instantly relaxed: “Actually, I spoke to him on the phone half an hour ago. Not only that, but to strengthen the persuasion, the eight of us had arranged to publicly announce the news of the 2012 apocalypse tomorrow to draw attention. I can contact the other seven people.”

Fang Senyan nodded: “That’s best. Your public announcement is doomed to fail because, under forced interference, no media outlet will report such news. Even if you post it online, you will be facing a monstrous, terrifying organization with thousands of people working for them like a virus. Your voices will be instantly drowned out, like a soap bubble submerged in a wave.”

“Yes,” Professor Dally said mournfully: “The eight of us trying to fight the state—it was far too naive. Even more naive was believing in so-called democracy and freedom!”

Fang Senyan nodded: “You convince them immediately and find a place to gather. I will handle cleaning up any FBI agents tracking you.”

Two hours later, it seemed Professor Dally’s experience resonated with many others, perhaps because these individuals also had impure motives for revealing the apocalypse—they wanted to extort passage tickets from the government, so they were all quite afraid of death. Several people rushed over immediately upon hearing the news.

The remaining two, after seeing the photos Professor Dally took on the spot and witnessing the explosion scene, also decisively followed suit.

Cleaning up the tails following them was naturally something Fang Senyan was accustomed to, especially with Ramtas assisting.

Of course, the more critical reason was that the storm was gathering. The FBI, as a special US agency, possessed more intelligence than others, and many people could infer the inside story. With the apocalypse less than ten days away, it was natural for the FBI’s work efficiency to plummet under the circumstances.

Meanwhile, Zi had established a safe temporary gathering point in New York. Those rescued societal elites would concentrate there. Their combined strength was certainly not to be overlooked. More importantly, New York, as a global metropolis, made purchasing various necessities much easier and better facilitated Fang Senyan’s next steps.

Good news continued to flood in. The Black brothers reported that Edward of the Cullen family had tracked him down by scent and agreed to cooperate after learning of their plan. The Cullen family’s involvement significantly increased the manpower available to rescue these experts. Furthermore, the Cullen family could leverage their old connections to ask other international vampires for assistance regarding those few individuals on the overseas kill list. One must remember, although the vampires from the Twilight world were all youthful and beautiful, they were centuries-old monsters with very stable established networks.

Calculating this, a mission that was originally projected to take at least sixty hours had been cut down to under twenty-four!

Therefore, Fang Senyan adjusted the priority of the task in his hands. The next destination was the Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. All he needed now was to persuade that one person—that figure who had almost become a world icon—to gain an unprecedentedly powerful ally!
