The Pterosaurians here, without ever seeing me, still fought for me. Four Pterosaurians, unafraid of death for my sake, watched as I was besieged by the Rakshasa Ghost Hag and Zheng Jieshi, only to appear at the most critical moment and rescue me once again.

His large hand stroked the necks of the four remaining Pterosaurians, and Ji Changkong was filled with emotion.

The four Pterosaurians seemed to truly regard Ji Changkong as one of their own, clinging to him with great affection, surrounding him and refusing to leave. This only deepened Ji Changkong's sense of guilt, feeling somewhat unworthy of the profound affection shown by these adorable, fierce beasts.

Teng Yang and his companions focused entirely on restoring the Yuan Force within their bodies. Even when the Pterosaurians approached, they did not break their meditative state. These six individuals, in terms of both aptitude and disposition, were unlike ordinary young Heavenly Masters. In them, Ji Changkong vaguely saw a reflection of himself.

The Origin Poison still lay lazily perched on Ji Changkong’s shoulder, regarding the four Pterosaurians with some curiosity, seemingly finding their intense attachment to Ji Changkong rather unbelievable.

After a long while.

Teng Yang was the first to recover from his recuperation. He stared at Ji Changkong with slight surprise for a moment. Then, he suddenly laughed, “Brother Ji is truly formidable, to have subdued even the Pterosaurians! Hah, if those four hadn't suddenly appeared, this fight would have been truly difficult for us.”

“Indeed, without them, the Rakshasa Ghost Hag and the Island Master of Luoxia Island wouldn't have retreated so easily,” Ji Changkong nodded, a touch of melancholy in his eyes.

Teng Yang was unaware of the peculiar bond between Ji Changkong and the Pterosaurians. Seeing his somewhat subdued mood, he felt inexplicably puzzled and asked, “Brother Ji, what’s wrong? Is something troubling you?”

Shaking his head, Ji Changkong managed a faint smile. “Nothing, just thinking about a few things. By the way, how do you feel?”

“Excellent!” Teng Yang looked delighted and somewhat excited. “This White Bone Island is truly a place that tempers people, and it’s brimming with treasures. I suddenly feel that coming to White Bone Island was a stroke of luck for us!”

“Yes, I also think we made the right choice coming to White Bone Island. Though every step is fraught with danger, every step also holds opportunity!” Xue Hai’s expression returned to normal, and he smiled widely.

Having only been on White Bone Island for a few days, the six of them had already gained immense benefits here, far exceeding what they could have achieved through arduous cultivation elsewhere. If they continued at this pace, it wasn't impossible for the six of them to break through their current realms by staying on White Bone Island for a while longer.

“Thank you, Brother Ji,” Kong Yuan said with a simple look, but he knew exactly whom to thank.

Ji Changkong smiled freely. “Why be so formal? Without you all, I don't know how many hardships I would have endured trying to enter the depths of the Sea Demon Restricted Area. My arrival on White Bone Island was also thanks to your help.”

“A bunch of grown men being so sentimental, really,” Liu Ye Jiao laughed lightly.

The four Pterosaurians circled Ji Changkong incessantly. Their eyes, which appeared incredibly ferocious to outsiders, remained fixed on him, occasionally emitting soft 'awoo' sounds, as if they had something to tell him.

Not continuing the polite exchange with Teng Yang and the others, Ji Changkong looked at the four Pterosaurians with a puzzled expression, carefully examining the expressions in their eyes, their breathing, and even the subtle nuances in their cries.

Having lived with that one Pterosaurian in the Poison Dragon Pool for several years, his understanding of the Pterosaurians far surpassed that of ordinary people. Naturally, he had his own interpretations of the various signals conveyed through their eyes.

“You… you want to take me somewhere?” After listening to their sounds for a while, Ji Changkong ventured to ask.

The Pterosaurians blinked their large eyes, appearing somewhat excited, seemingly thrilled that Ji Changkong could understand them.

“Yes.”

“Very well,” Ji Changkong nodded cheerfully. “You lead the way, and I will follow.”

Awoo!

The four Pterosaurians roared in unison, violently shaking their massive heads. Each crouched low, repeatedly glancing back at their own backs. “Brother Ji, they want you to ride on them!” Even Kong Yuan could decipher the intention of the four Pterosaurians.

“That will do,” Ji Changkong smiled and climbed onto the back of one of the Pterosaurians.

The Pterosaurian suddenly took flight, clearly intending to leave with Ji Changkong immediately.

“Wait!” Ji Changkong froze, then remembered that in the eyes of these Pterosaurians, only he existed. Teng Yang and the other six were completely ignored by them.

“What about them!” Ji Changkong pointed at Teng Yang and his group on the ground below, waving his hands to explain, “They are my friends, they are with me…”

The other three Pterosaurians seemed to understand the meaning of Ji Changkong’s words. Though clearly reluctant, they ultimately did not defy him, slowly descending from the air and gently laying down on the ground.

“Get on, remember, just hold tightly onto their necks,” Ji Changkong instructed.

The six members of Teng Yang’s group exchanged glances, hesitating for a long time before finally gritting their teeth and cautiously stepping toward the Pterosaurians. Slowly, they reached out to embrace the Pterosaurians. Only when they realized the Pterosaurians lying on the ground offered no resistance did their courage gradually grow, and they mounted the Pterosaurians together.

Six people, paired up, neatly dividing the three Pterosaurians among them.

Whoosh!

A strong wind whipped up, and the three Pterosaurians suddenly soared into the sky, rushing to catch up with the one carrying Ji Changkong.

“Holy crap! This is amazing! Hahaha, the feeling of soaring in the sky is truly incredible, haha, especially riding on the back of this ancient fierce beast, this feeling…” Xue Hai boasted loudly. “When we get back, I can definitely brag to my uncles and elders! Hah, I actually rode a Pterosaurian!”

“The feeling of flying is so beautiful! Especially not having to exert myself, hehe!” Liu Ye also looked highly animated.

These six could unleash their full potential to lift an iron boat into the sky, but doing so required all their energy, leaving them no leisure to appreciate the wonder of flight.

For these six, while it wasn't their first time soaring through the sky, it was certainly the best feeling they had ever experienced.

The four Pterosaurians, carrying Ji Changkong and Teng Yang’s group of six separately, flew over White Bone Island.

Unexpectedly, White Bone Island was vast. Even flying on the Pterosaurians for a while, Ji Changkong couldn't see the coastline. He knew he must be near the center of the island.

The bones on White Bone Island emitted a faint white light, and besides that, no other objects gave off light. From high up on the Pterosaurian, Ji Changkong concentrated his gaze and observed that not only was his sight heavily obstructed, but the power of his divine soul could hardly spread far either.

On this White Bone Island, there seemed to be an invisible force constantly affecting everything. Anyone on the island would be influenced by this power, unable to act as freely as they could elsewhere.

Vision was blocked, and even the divine soul could not extend widely on White Bone Island. How was he supposed to find him? Should he just continue searching aimlessly? That didn't seem like a viable method.

Ji Changkong felt a headache coming on, unsure of how to locate Li Hentian.

But upon reflection, he felt a faint sense of calm. If he couldn't find him on White Bone Island, then surely the enemies who came to White Bone Island would have an even harder time finding him? After all, his divine soul perception was better than most people's, coupled with the magic of the Origin Poison and the assistance of the Pterosaurians; if he couldn't find him, he shouldn't worry too much.

The Pterosaurians carrying Ji Changkong and Teng Yang’s group were not like the one in the Poison Dragon Pool that dared to charge recklessly across the Great Marsh of Dream Clouds. Here, the four Pterosaurians moved together, appearing cautious during their flight, sometimes deliberately avoiding certain areas…

In the areas the Pterosaurians avoided, both Ji Changkong and the Origin Poison could sense one or several unusual auras. Clearly, there must be terrifying fierce beasts dwelling in those places. If the four beasts dared not approach those areas, the beasts residing there must be terrifying entities on the same level as that Golden-Haired Giant Bear.

“Waaah! Look, below is a Monoceros Python, and there are more than a dozen of them! That’s terrifying!”

“What a huge spider, and it’s silver-white! What is this spider called? I think I heard someone mention it…”

Xue Hai gazed at the strange fierce beasts below with amazement, continuously exclaiming.

“It is rumored that this type of spider is interested in any male creature, especially fond of young lads with tender skin,” Liu Ye glanced sideways at a certain someone, speaking unhurriedly. “Young lads mounted by the Matriarch Spider are said to grow extra legs, and then lose something very important. It prefers to eat filthy things…”

Xue Hai felt a chill run through him, suddenly shut up, and dared not look at that silver spider below again.

As they flew past, all sorts of bizarre creatures appeared. These rare beings, which could be called rare treasures elsewhere, were abundant on White Bone Island; they would encounter one or two in a short time.

Xue Hai still possessed a trace of childlike wonder, seemingly interested in everything. Seeing so many strange fierce beasts he had only read about in ancient books, he naturally couldn't restrain his excitement.

It wasn't just him; Teng Yang, Jin Hao, and the others also gasped in amazement, inwardly astonished by the strangeness of White Bone Island.

Only Ji Changkong remained unmoved. Having lived in the Poison Dragon Pool for several years, he had certainly seen all sorts of fierce beasts. These beasts, which Xue Hai considered rare treasures, were commonplace to him. He knew that the truly astonishing fierce beasts were the ones the four Pterosaurians were deliberately avoiding.

The Pterosaurians suddenly flew rapidly straight upwards. Ji Changkong’s heart stirred; could they be nearing their destination?

Sure enough, a mountain peak that wasn't particularly tall appeared before them. The Pterosaurians’ target was clearly this mountain. As they approached it, although their speed increased significantly, Ji Changkong sensed that they were exerting considerable effort.

Frowning, he secretly sensed his surroundings and was shocked to find that his body seemed to have suddenly become much heavier. The closer they got to the summit of that mountain, the more intense this feeling became.

“The gravity is doubling continuously! How bizarre!” Teng Yang exclaimed.

As the Pterosaurians neared the mountain, everyone clearly felt the gravity undergoing an obvious change, as if many magnets had suddenly appeared beneath them, drawing them downward.

Ji Changkong was certain that if he didn't exert the power within his body, the moment the Pterosaurians moved away, he would plummet like a meteor.

“Hold tight! Don't fall off!” Hong Ge yelled. He knew that the six of them hadn't reached the Seven-Star Heaven Realm yet; falling down with accelerated speed several dozen times over would certainly mean being smashed to pieces.

A thick, fishy stench drifted from ahead. Ji Changkong’s nose caught it immediately; it was the exact same stench as the one on the Pterosaurians.

Without needing to think, he knew the Pterosaurians were bringing them to their dwelling. Indeed, the four Pterosaurians carried them and rushed toward a huge, protruding cliff beside the mountain peak, where there was clearly an immense, pitch-black cave entrance.

Judging by the size of the cave, it could easily accommodate several Pterosaurians.

The Pterosaurians did indeed set them down on the cliff face. After Ji Changkong and Teng Yang’s group dismounted, they felt their bodies suddenly sink. Even walking a few steps on this cliff was much more strenuous than in other places.

After setting down Teng Yang and the others, the three Pterosaurians lay motionless. The Pterosaurian carrying Ji Changkong slowly crawled into the bottomless, dark cave only after Ji Changkong had dismounted.

Rumble, rumble, rumble!

The sound of rolling stones came from inside the cave. It was unclear what the Pterosaurian was stirring up inside. After a while, this Pterosaurian slowly crawled out of the cave, but its massive iron claws seemed to be clutching some dark, sticky things.

A faint wave of Yuan Force fluctuated from those dark objects. Ji Changkong’s eyes lit up. He stepped forward and picked up a spherical object the size of a walnut. Ignoring the black and red filth stuck to the fleshy ball, he wiped it vigorously with a piece of dry cloth.

A burst of ethereal sky-blue light suddenly emanated from the ball. The once dark and indistinct sphere instantly transformed into a hard core glowing with bright blue light. Though not necessarily beautiful, it was at least no longer so ugly.

Wisps of foul odor and sky-blue light emerged together from the hard core, looking quite fresh.

“Yuan Dan!” Teng Yang exclaimed.

Liu Ye and the others started, then quickly looked overjoyed, exclaiming repeatedly, “Brother Ji, these are Yuan Dans!”

Ji Changkong smiled and nodded. “I know, but…”

Yuan Dans, like Yuan Stones, contained the primal energy of heaven and earth. Yuan Stones were naturally formed, containing primal energy in places where the energy was dense; they could be absorbed to quickly restore the Yuan Force consumed by Heavenly Masters, and different types of Yuan Stones had their own unique functions.

Compared to Yuan Stones, Yuan Dans were far more precious. A Yuan Dan is the unique energy source of fierce beasts, but only those fierce beasts that are uniquely strange and possess a lifespan of at least several hundred years can form them.

Even the lowest-grade Yuan Dan contains primal energy several times, perhaps tens or hundreds of times, denser than that of top-grade Yuan Stones. The primal energy contained within the Yuan Dan of some powerful fierce beasts might even exceed the total Yuan Qi within a Seven-Star Heavenly Master.

Besides their immensely rich primal energy, Yuan Dans also possessed various miraculous functions. Some fire-attribute Yuan Dans could aid Heavenly Masters cultivating the power of fire in the Five Elements Heaven, while gold-attribute Yuan Dans could increase the power of Heavenly Masters cultivating the power of metal in the Five Elements Heaven.

Yuan Dans had an even more peculiar function: almost all Yuan Dans could be refined into elixirs. Elixirs refined through special secret methods could even enable Heavenly Masters stuck at a bottleneck to break through and enter the next realm.

However, because powerful fierce beasts were hunted to extinction in the ancient era, powerful beasts capable of forming Yuan Dans were rarely seen on the continent anymore. Consequently, Yuan Dans became extremely rare and precious items; even the Spiritual Treasure Pavilion found it difficult to acquire Yuan Dans for their own use.

The Spiritual Treasure Pavilion once auctioned a very ordinary Yuan Dan. It was said that because of that single Yuan Dan, various factions engaged in fierce contention and bloodshed after the Spiritual Treasure Assembly concluded.

Yuan Dans, once refined into medicine, could increase the power of the younger generation in major families, or they could be smelted into Divine Weapons to greatly enhance their might. Various miraculous effects established the high value of Yuan Dans, causing many Heavenly Masters from great families to risk everything for them…

A pile of dark, foul-smelling objects lay before Ji Changkong… As he wiped away the filth, faint luster emerged from the Yuan Dans, dazzling Ji Changkong and Teng Yang’s group.

Thirteen Yuan Dans, varying in Yuan Force levels. Holding them in his hand, Ji Changkong felt their weight, genuinely unsure what to say to the four Pterosaurians.

“Only on White Bone Island could there be so many Yuan Dans,” Teng Yang sighed.

“That’s right. The fierce beasts on White Bone Island have lived here all along, undisturbed by the outside world. Any beast that can survive here is no easy character; it’s not surprising these beasts can form Yuan Dans,” Liu Ye nodded.

“Brother Ji, congratulations! Haha, you got treasures without doing anything, I truly admire you to the core!” Xue Hai joked happily.

Teng Yang and the other five looked at Ji Changkong holding the thirteen Yuan Dans, their faces showing genuine congratulations, without a trace of greed. They were all sincerely happy for Ji Changkong.

Ji Changkong swept his gaze over the six of them, smiled, and said, “Thirteen Yuan Dans—I obtained these very easily. Well, whoever sees them gets a share. You six, each pick one.”

“Ah!” Xue Hai cried out. Even he, who loved taking advantage, repeatedly waved his hands. “That won’t do, absolutely not…”

Teng Yang and the others quickly retreated, all stating firmly that they absolutely could not accept them.

“Brother Ji, we appreciate your good intentions, but these Yuan Dans are far too precious; we absolutely cannot accept them!” Teng Yang said seriously.

“We still have a long way to go on White Bone Island. Only if the seven of us become stronger will our chances of survival here increase!” Ji Changkong looked at Teng Yang and said gravely, “Your strength growing also means I have stronger helpers; I’m still counting on you to help me save Li Hentian!”

After a pause, Ji Changkong continued, “Yuan Dans can temporarily increase all of our strengths, especially for you all, most of whom are in the Five Elements Heaven Realm; Yuan Dans are even more useful to you! Perhaps through Yuan Dans, you can step up another level!”

“Only if you are stronger can we truly pose a threat the next time we encounter the Rakshasa Ghost Hag! Pterosaurians are Pterosaurians after all; we cannot rely on them forever. Being strong ourselves is the most effective way!”

“Brother Ji…” Xue Hai tried to say something.

Waving to stop Xue Hai’s words, Ji Changkong said uncompromisingly, “You must accept these Yuan Dans! If you refuse, it means you look down on Ji Changkong and don't consider me a friend!”

Without waiting for further objections, Ji Changkong’s eyes, deep as the sea, fell upon the Yuan Dans in his hand. He selected six Yuan Dans in succession and forcefully pressed them into the hands of the six individuals. “Stop the nonsense and do everything in your power to increase your strength. The next time we meet that Rakshasa Ghost Hag, I hope we can kill her together.”

“Alright!” Jin Hao was the second to accept. Merely touching the Yuan Dan, Jin Hao exclaimed in pleasant surprise, “It’s Gold-attribute!”

Smiling faintly, Ji Changkong said, “Jin Hao, you and Brother Hong Ge cultivate the power of Metal in the Five Elements Heaven; the Yuan Dan in your hand suits you.”

Turning to Liu Ye, Ji Changkong instructed, “You cultivate Fire in the Five Elements Heaven!”

Pointing at Xue Hai: “You cultivate Water in the Five Elements Heaven!”

“And you, Kong Yuan, cultivate Earth in the Five Elements Heaven! Lastly, Teng Yang, you cultivate Wood in the Five Elements Heaven!”

His gaze swept across the six individuals in turn. Ji Changkong spoke, “The Yuan Dan in your hands corresponds to the power you cultivate, and while the Yuan Dan contains the respective elemental forces matching yours, it also holds the insights the ferocious beasts possessed regarding that line of power. Sometimes, beasts are hardly duller than humans; they have their own understanding of how to utilize the forces of heaven and earth. Those insights the beasts held concerning that power are also stored within the Yuan Dan. By deciphering the comprehension these beasts had about that specific power, you can learn from their strengths and supplement your own weaknesses—it will greatly benefit you!” Having said this, Ji Changkong abruptly stopped talking, looking at the group of six with a faint smile.

The six had been hesitant, but holding the Yuan Dan that matched their own attribute, and after hearing Ji Changkong’s explanation, none of them hesitated any longer.

What they held in their hands was not merely a Yuan Dan, but the key to the next realm! Every Heavenly Scholar possessed the most instinctual greed for breaking through cultivation boundaries—none were exempt!

To think that they could use the Yuan Dan in their hands to break through their current level—what an immense **! How many people in this world could resist such **? Moreover, Ji Changkong was genuinely generous, and what he said was perfectly logical; they had absolutely no reason to refuse!

“Brother Kong, I, Teng Yang, will keep your kindness in my heart! I won't say any superfluous words. I accept this Yuan Dan. On White Bone Island, no matter who I face, even the Sea God of the East Sea, I will stand with you!” Teng Yang took a deep breath, tightly clutching the Yuan Dan in his hand, as if grasping his friendship with Ji Changkong!

Xue Hai and Liu Ye remained silent, but the look in their eyes as they gazed at Ji Changkong already conveyed their stance.

“You all stay here for now. With the Sky-Turtle Winged Dragons present, this place is certainly safer than elsewhere. Don’t stand on ceremony; use the Yuan Dan now to enhance your power. I will keep watch,” Ji Changkong said with a smile.

With matters settled, the six wasted no more time. Following Ji Changkong’s instruction, they all sat down cross-legged on the spot, each holding a Yuan Dan, beginning to attempt linking with the power contained within.

“Kongkong, this Yuan Dan, give it to me, I want it!” After Teng Yang and the others fell silent, the Primordial Poison perched on Ji Changkong’s shoulder suddenly pointed at a Yuan Dan as black as ink.

“Hmph! Curious!” Ji Changkong let out a soft sound, murmuring, “Among so many Yuan Dans, only this one is peculiar. It contains no elemental power at all and emits waves of foul stench. Yet you pick this one. Don't you require elemental power to cultivate?”

Suddenly, a thought struck Ji Changkong, and he looked closely at the Yuan Dan, chuckling, “I understand now…”

This must be the Yuan Dan of a highly toxic creature. Only the Yuan Dans of ferocious beasts entirely composed of venom would possess such a color, and only those from overwhelmingly venomous creatures would pique the interest of the Primordial Poison.

“Yes, this Yuan Dan is entirely poison. None of you need it,” the Primordial Poison looked longingly at the Yuan Dan, grinning playfully, “Kongkong, you promised that if I wanted anything good in the future, you would give it to me!”

“You’ve learned quite the trick,” Ji Changkong laughed freely, tossing the foul-smelling Yuan Dan to it without hesitation. “It’s just one Yuan Dan. Never mind one; if I had more of these, I’d give you as many as you wanted, since I have no use for them anyway…”

“What if you do have a use for them?” the Primordial Poison asked with a sly grin after taking the Yuan Dan.

“We’ll see who needs it more…” Ji Changkong replied with a smile.

“Haha, I like you!” the Primordial Poison chuckled lightly and swallowed the inky-black Yuan Dan in one gulp.

Its small body, usually crystal clear and snow-white, was only covered by a small strip of animal hide. As the Yuan Dan, black as ink, entered its abdomen, Ji Changkong could clearly see a hard, dark mass in its belly.

The Yuan Dan that would have been difficult for Teng Yang, Liu Ye, and the others to digest and absorb came far too easily to the Primordial Poison!

The inky-black Yuan Dan slowly faded within its stomach. Its small belly gently contracted as the Dan rapidly diminished, transforming into wisps of black thread that burrowed into every corner of its body.

In just a short while, the Yuan Dan that had entered its stomach vanished without a trace. The black threads roaming through its body gradually faded until they, too, disappeared completely.

“Tasted good,” the Primordial Poison patted its stomach and commented languidly.

Meanwhile, Teng Yang and the others had yet to establish any connection with the Yuan Dans in their hands; not a trace of the power within those Dans had leaked out…

Teng Yang and the six were completely engrossed in communicating with their respective Yuan Dans, intending to use the power within to advance further. The Primordial Poison, after devouring one Yuan Dan, displayed an unsatisfied expression, smacking its lips as if wanting more; clearly, a single Poison Yuan Dan had not sated it.

The four Sky-Turtle Winged Dragons lay on the cliff face, blinking their large eyes at it. They showed no interest in how it distributed the Yuan Dans; it seemed that merely handing the Dans over to it had already satisfied them.

Meeting the gaze of the four Sky-Turtle Winged Dragons, Ji Changkong felt a surge of complex emotions. They treated him with complete devotion, asking for nothing, their selflessness leaving Ji Changkong truly unsure how to repay them. “Should…”

While the six were meditating intently, Ji Changkong held a few remaining Yuan Dans, allowing wisps of elemental force to permeate them, enabling him to grasp the attribute of every single one with ease.

At the Seven-Star Heaven realm, his inner elemental energy was exceedingly abundant, and his physical cultivation had reached a bottleneck; it could no longer be broken through solely by relying on Yuan Dans.

From the Seven-Star Heaven realm onwards, further cultivation relied more heavily on the tempering of the Divine Soul. At this stage, he needed his Divine Soul to wander among the Big Dipper stars, collecting their stellar energy, using his heart to comprehend the power of the stars to make continuous progress. Even the tempering of the physical body required the utilization of stellar power…

However, on White Bone Island, his Divine Soul could not sense the presence of the Big Dipper. This place was exceedingly strange, and he dared not release his Divine Soul to roam among the Big Dipper stars. Therefore, despite acquiring the most Yuan Dans, he was the one least in need of them to boost his cultivation.

Watching Teng Yang and the others intensely absorbing the power from the Yuan Dans, immersing their Divine Souls within them to grasp the ferocious beasts’ understanding of that particular force, Ji Changkong suddenly felt a bit at a loss, unsure what he ought to do.

Forget it, I’ll try extending my Divine Soul outward and see if I make any discoveries. After thinking for a moment, Ji Changkong finally felt he should attempt to use his soul's capacity to sense everything it could perceive.

“Little Poison, keep an eye on the surroundings. If anything unusual happens, remember to alert me,” Ji Changkong instructed the Primordial Poison. He then sat down cross-legged.

“Taking payment means settling the troubles; having eaten your food means my mouth is tied. No problem,” the Primordial Poison replied in its strange tone.

Ignoring it, Ji Changkong took a deep breath, calming his mind. He slowly closed his eyes, and wisps of soul power began to flow out from him, slowly extending outwards…

White Bone Island was indeed a remarkably bizarre place. As Ji Changkong released the power of his Divine Soul, he immediately sensed heavy resistance. His soul power felt as if it had entered an overwhelmingly dense jungle, filled with branches and leaves everywhere.

These invisible branches and leaves formed unpredictable obstacles. Under this resistance, it was pure folly to expect the Divine Soul’s power to move unimpeded. The more his soul power dispersed, the more of this resistance it encountered; once dispersed, the soul power weakened, and the penetrating force reaching his core diminished…

Within a radius of about five li, the Divine Soul Ji Changkong had spread out could advance no further.

Ji Changkong attempted to scatter his soul power, hoping to find a gap through which to pass, only to discover that White Bone Island was bizarre in this very manner—the soul felt like it had entered a swamp, extremely difficult to struggle out of and advance.

Change the method…

When the poor cannot succeed, change; when change happens, breakthrough occurs. Seeing that the common technique of dispersing soul power was ineffective, a thought sparked in Ji Changkong’s mind, and he sought an alternative path.

Instantly, the released soul power rapidly gathered back towards his physical body. A moment later, all the dispersed soul power returned within him.

Holding his breath and focusing his spirit, Ji Changkong attempted to condense his soul power into a single beam. Instead of extending in all directions, he randomly chose one direction and commanded this beam, condensed into a soul-light, to fly rapidly forward.

That’s the way!

Ji Changkong rejoiced internally, suddenly realizing that concentrating all his power into one stream was highly effective! While this method prevented him from perceiving everything happening around him, focusing on just one direction greatly enhanced the scope of his sensory range!

Soon, the beam of his soul power, condensed into a soul-light, pierced through many obstructions and reached ten li away. As he continuously poured his Divine Soul power into it, that beam of soul-light continued moving in a straight line.

Along the path that the soul-light traversed, all life fluctuations within a small range were instantly registered in his mind. These life fluctuations, varying in intensity, made Ji Changkong realize that the power of those creatures also differed greatly.

The most powerful creature detected possessed an extremely robust life force, stronger than the combined life forces of the four Sky-Turtle Winged Dragons!

Ji Changkong knew that in that direction lay the lair of a terrifying ferocious beast of White Bone Island. He inwardly cautioned himself to be extremely vigilant and under no circumstances venture recklessly into the area where that beast resided.

The soul-light continued straight ahead!

Various life fluctuations flooded in. Ji Changkong maintained equanimity, absorbing these fluctuations into his consciousness. Though he had not reached that location, he was fully aware of the inherent dangers.

One hundred li away, the power of this beam of soul-light reached its limit. White Bone Island had not ended, but this beam, being too far from Ji Changkong, was beginning to struggle to sustain itself.

Ji Changkong knew that in this direction, his soul-light had reached its extreme and could likely advance no further.

He retracted that beam of soul-light and focused his energy again, changing to a new direction, continuing to explore using this single beam of soul-light…

This method might be very slow, but it allowed him to keep track of all anomalous movements in the vicinity. If any real danger arose, he would know beforehand and avoid blindly stumbling into the death zones inhabited by terrifying ferocious beasts.

The new direction showed everything normal; no special situations were encountered, nor were any powerful life fluctuations detected. Ji Changkong secretly marked this direction as safe; at least within a hundred li, this direction posed no immediate trouble.

Thinking this, Ji Changkong felt secretly pleased. After recalling the soul-light, he immediately switched to yet another new direction.

Fifty li further on.

The Divine Soul beam that had been sent out suddenly trembled violently. An extremely bizarre force suddenly emanated from that direction. The beam, which had been advancing slowly, was suddenly pulled by the force ahead and began to fly forward rapidly!

In the blink of an eye, the beam shot forward dozens of li, moving so fast it sent a shiver of fear through Ji Changkong.

This wisp of soul-light was connected to Ji Changkong’s Main Soul. The soul-light had already pulled out long, straight lines. Now, this particular wisp was clearly somewhat uncontrollable, being drawn by some strange force, soaring rapidly toward unknown territory.

If this wisp of soul-light were damaged or destroyed, Ji Changkong’s Main Soul would suffer grievous injury. If the entity followed this thread to attack his Main Soul, the damage he sustained could be even greater!

This wisp had been stretched too far; it absolutely could not be abandoned, or the repercussions would be dire!

A flurry of thoughts rushed through his mind. Ji Changkong’s physical body suddenly shot forward, recklessly pursuing the direction in which the soul-light was streaming. As the body moved, the connection between him and the fading soul-light gradually became clearer again…

“Kongkong, what’s wrong?” the Primordial Poison exclaimed in alarm.

“A wisp of my Divine Soul is being guided uncontrollably. If I don’t retrieve it, my soul will suffer severe trauma!” Ji Changkong explained casually, then quickly used the power of his Divine Soul to firmly lock onto that wisp of soul-light rapidly flying ahead.

The four Sky-Turtle Winged Dragons completely ignored the life-or-death situation of Teng Yang and the others. Seeing Ji Changkong suddenly fly out, the four dragons followed almost without hesitation, flying out together and chasing in Ji Changkong’s direction.

That strand of soul-light, gradually slipping from Ji Changkong’s control, continued its relentless forward movement…

Faint threads of the Big Dipper’s stellar power slowly drifted out from ahead. Aided by the soul-light, Ji Changkong’s physical body immediately perceived those faint threads unmistakably originating from the Big Dipper stellar region.

His expression shifted slightly, and Ji Changkong was filled with confusion. Before entering White Bone Island, he had sensed that the central area of the Sea Demon Forbidden Land was not a place where Seven-Star Heaven cultivators like him could act as they pleased. He had attempted to sense the existence of the Big Dipper many times before, all in vain.

In Ji Changkong’s mind, White Bone Island must possess some power that completely sealed off the energy of the endless starry realms beyond the heavens, ensuring that anyone standing on the island could never sense the power of the Big Dipper stars from the infinite outer realms.

Yet, the soul-light drifting further and further away from him was clearly transmitting the power of the Big Dipper stellar region. Based on his numerous experiences cultivating in the Big Dipper stellar region, he could naturally distinguish that those forces indeed came from the Seven Stars.

What astonished Ji Changkong even more was that the Big Dipper stellar power transmitted through that wisp of soul-light was even more profound than what he had felt on the Tianheng Star! The richness of that stellar energy even far surpassed his sensation when he was on Tianheng Star.

This was the Five Elements Continent, yet there was a location where the power of the Big Dipper stars surpassed that of the original star—this was an utterly unbelievable event. Ji Changkong was momentarily stunned, growing increasingly bewildered.

What exactly was going on? What bizarre changes lay ahead? Ji Changkong’s mind was in turmoil, yet his speed increased rapidly, urgently desiring to see just how many strange occurrences lay concealed within White Bone Island.
