For all cyborgs, naturally, before they could attain freedom, certain functions of their brains would be shackled and programmed, such as absolute obedience to high-ranking individuals and the inability to resist; these functions would be hardwired, which in turn made it difficult for them to engage in tasks requiring intense cerebral effort, like scientific research or piloting spacecraft.

Simply put, when Fang Senyan brought along the three cyborgs, it was equivalent to gaining three servants, retainers, cannon fodder, laborers, sentries, and scouts... The immense benefit of gaining these three aids in that terrifying and unknown jungle was obvious, provided, of course, they could land safely.

Fang Senyan had by then regrouped with Aldaris, as the level of trust between the two was significantly higher than with the others. Fang Senyan was still hesitant about what to fill the remaining space with, but Aldaris decisively ticked off three cyborgs on the manifest and impatiently tossed the pen aside. He was quite impatient with Fang Senyan. "Hey, I know what you're hesitating about. But haven't you noticed that at least half the people have paid to bring along a Pulverizing Extraction Device?"

Fang Senyan narrowed his eyes and smiled, "You mean, perhaps we can borrow theirs?"

Aldaris raised an eyebrow and coolly replied, "Of course, it would be their honor."

Thus, Fang Senyan also applied for three cyborgs. Other than their heads, every part of their bodies could ignore joints and fold up like a folding stool to save space, and they could endure such compression for extended periods without any physiological response. It was worth noting that these cyborgs, like regular cargo, could not be stored in private lockers.

Soon, Fang Senyan’s various "goods" were loaded. He watched the two military police officers and six ground crew members who were about to leave, and a cold glint suddenly flashed in his eyes. "Halt!"

The six ground crew members looked up in shock, though one person dared not meet his gaze, while the two military police officers glanced at Fang Senyan with arrogance, continuing on their way as if he didn't exist.

Fang Senyan strode forward, covering the distance in two or three steps to block the military policemen. A cold light flashed in one officer's eyes, and he immediately drew his pistol in a reverse motion. Fang Senyan waited until the officer had fully drawn the weapon and aimed it at him before viciously kicking out, landing a hard blow directly to the sternum!

This unfortunate fellow had no armor protection. Stomach acid, blood, and bodily fluids immediately sprayed from his mouth. He tumbled five or six times in the air before crashing violently into a nearby Wasp flyer, knocking it over! He was undoubtedly ripped open, dying a miserable, gruesome death.

This action immediately triggered high alert. Various automatic laser and particle weapons sprang out with a clatter, locking onto Fang Senyan.

The surrounding contractors who were also preparing noticed the scene. Their expressions held a hint of hidden delight. Hedikuri was the first to extend his large, red tongue to lick his lips, seeming to smirk cruelly at the scent of blood. "Damn, this guy's got some nerve! It makes me want to throw a kick like that too."

Aziza, hands on her hips, tilted her head and stated coldly, "Fiery, but I like it."

It was hardly surprising that the contractors reacted this way. Frankly, throughout the entire base, there had always been a subtle sense of vigilance directed at Fang Senyan and the group of contractors—not just being stared at by strange eyes while sipping coffee in relaxation areas, but also receiving all sorts of subtle, complex gazes, as if they were being watched as anomalies!

It was much like the methods a cruel stepmother uses on her non-biological children: sharp yet tender, utterly gentle, yet leaving no room for complaint!

"What the hell are you doing!! Explain your motive, your reason!!" General Mongo's roar exploded through the loudspeakers instantly, sounding like a hair dryer cranked up to maximum power, blasting out heat and spittle, making it hard to breathe.

"You maniac, have you gone insane, or is this a disease acting up, or are you just naturally savage!! Whatever it is, you will pay the price for this!!! And you, stay where you are, or your rank won't save you from being beaten into a pulp!"

Fang Senyan smiled. "I know perfectly well what I am doing, General. In these past few days, I've had the honor of reading the Empire's Sacred Constitution, drafted entirely by the great Imperial Prime Minister Lizhu. Article 164 clearly states that anyone attempting to use a weapon against a high-ranking officer shall be sentenced to the ultimate penalty, and the target may retaliate to any degree. Therefore, I am innocent. Finally, thank you for your concern, General."

General Mongo’s voice choked off instantly because he saw the firearm clutched in the hand of the corpse that had been kicked away, and the safety was already off. More importantly, Fang Senyan, an Imperial Lieutenant Colonel, was a legitimate high-ranking officer! Whether who initiated the provocation or not was irrelevant because this, this was the privilege of the superior!

"These arrogant bastards of military police, why do they always forget this guy isn't just a reserve officer?" General Mongo felt a headache coming on.

"Alert... stand down." The seemingly decisive General Mongo showed a rare sign of weariness. "This matter ends here."

But Fang Senyan was not letting go. "General, this is only the beginning. I need to talk to you. Clear out the extraneous personnel; my location is the best place for a discussion. Don't refuse me, or the mess you face might get even worse."

General Mongo looked at Fang Senyan with a look that could devour men, but ultimately yielded. He snarled, "You better have a reasonable explanation, or, kid, I'll give you the lowest possible commendation point deduction authorized!"

Three minutes later, an area of several hundred square meters around Fang Senyan was enveloped in a tight electronic shield, rendering it impossible even for contractors to know what was happening inside. Within the shield were Fang Senyan's spacecraft, General Mongo, his military police, the surviving military policeman, and the six ground crew members.

Fang Senyan addressed General Mongo. "I request to exercise my Lieutenant Colonel's privilege to conduct a thorough inspection of the aircraft, the cargo, and the three electronic men."

General Mongo did not object, as he was beginning to realize that confronting this shrewd contractor who was so well-versed in Imperial regulations and law, his authority was becoming difficult to enforce. Worse yet, this contractor had achieved an astonishing status!

An expert soon provided a report: "The aircraft is normal, the transported cargo is normal, but one of the electronic men has a deep-level command implanted in its brain, which is currently being deciphered. Based on my analysis, it appears to be related to sabotage."

The final inspection result caused one ground crew member to tremble violently and collapse limply to the ground. The surviving military policeman simply fell face-down, black blood oozing from the corner of his mouth—suicide by poison.

"This is the real reason I killed someone," Fang Senyan said sincerely to General Mongo, opening his hands. "I am truly not a bloodthirsty person."

General Mongo said coldly, "You should know why, right?"

"General Hei instructed me to choose Unit Fifty-Five, and as you can see, I chose Number Three," Fang Senyan stated plainly.

General Mongo's face darkened further. Just as he was about to speak, Fang Senyan cut him off decisively. "I know that overseeing this project is an opportunity weighted equally with risk for anyone! If done well, it could lead to a promotion from Major General to Lieutenant General. If it’s botched or a scandal erupts before departure... according to the great Imperial Constitution, it could result in three rank demotions."

General Mongo's facial muscles twitched repeatedly, but he remained silent, his sharp gaze fixed on Fang Senyan, waiting with the patience of a wolf stalking its prey for Fang Senyan's next move.

"You know, we contractors always have certain peculiar abilities, so everything that happened here has been recorded by me. If I die on this venture, it will be released. If I return alive, then it will never have existed in this world. Of course, you need to offer some direct benefits to soothe my frightened soul. What do you think?"

General Mongo suddenly waved his hand. The military police beside him suddenly raised their weapons and opened fire on the six ground crew members! Corpses instantly littered the ground. General Mongo said coldly, "I didn't do any of this. So, I need to go discuss matters."

"Discuss?" Fang Senyan smiled brilliantly upon hearing the word. "Of course, but please don't forget, General, my time is short."

General Mongo replied coldly, "I'm not good at haggling."

Five minutes later, General Mongo allegedly used his boot to violently kick open General Hei's office door before unleashing his characteristic hairdryer roar. Although all relevant personnel wisely retreated fifty meters away, the rough sound of furious cursing could still faintly shake the eardrums.

This one-sided battle, much like a lightning strike campaign, began quickly and ended just as swiftly as premature ejaculation. Thus, in less than twelve minutes, Fang Senyan was summoned to another corridor in the base. General Mongo signaled for him to follow behind him, and the two walked on in silence, one following the other.

After passing through a full four steel security doors requiring identity verification, even the military police following General Mongo were filtered out... Finally, before Fang Senyan appeared a Wasp flyer parked on a square landing pad.
