The Dragon Girl sat beside the fire with Xiaoke and the four handmaidens, all naked, warming their clothes. Elena couldn't hold back, pointing at the dark 'skin' covering the Dragon Girl and asking, "Dragon Girl, what is that? Why is your skin different from the others?"

The Dragon Girl replied, "It's a protective suit. Without it, I wouldn't dare walk around on Earth; even the slightest bacterium could kill me."

I examined the garment closely. There wasn't a single seam from her neck down to her toes. I couldn't tell how it was worn or what material it was made of, but since it was a protective suit, it must be highly advanced, capable of blocking bacterial invasion.

However, the suit was extremely form-fitting, revealing the Dragon Girl's figure flawlessly. Her legs and waist were the epitome of the perfect woman, the standard. Her chest, especially, stretched the suit taut, appearing not inferior to Yi Xiaorou—though, for now, it couldn't compare to Elena, who had admitted her own chest was only an F-cup, exaggerated only by being full of milk.

I could, of course, use X-ray vision, but I ultimately dismissed the idea. Her beauty made even a mere glance feel like sacrilege; I dared not commit such an act of spying.

Elena asked, "Do you have to wear this suit all the time?"

The Dragon Girl answered, "Yes, whenever I leave the sterile room. Otherwise, there’s a danger of infection. But even wearing this suit, I can't stay outside for too long because the air is filled with bacteria, and the atmospheric pressure and magnetic field are unsuitable. Staying out too long will cause irreparable damage to the bones and internal organs."

I asked with concern, "Since you've been out for so long, do you need to hurry back?"

The Dragon Girl replied, "I can hold out a while longer. My constitution is considered extremely special; I'm among the best in our nation. Otherwise, I wouldn't be allowed to use that Laser Sword."

Just then, a Centaur, stationed at the cave entrance for guard duty, galloped in. It spoke a few words to the Dragon Girl, whose expression changed drastically. She turned to me and said, "Dragon Emissary, there are saucers!"

I snatched the Laser Sword from the ground. "Let's go see!"

The group rushed to the mouth of the cave and looked out. Three flying saucers were attempting to land in the open area before the cavern. I asked the Dragon Girl, "Do your side's saucers have any markings? How can you tell which faction they belong to?"

The Dragon Girl responded, "No. All the saucers originate from the same source; it’s impossible to distinguish them."

I felt a bit dizzy. "How is the management so chaotic? You should have marked your own saucers with identification numbers. If you can't differentiate now, how can you strike first?"

The Dragon Girl blushed slightly. "These saucers are private property, the personal assets of the ten ship captains, respectively. Even if we wanted to number them, we would need their consent."

I inquired, "How many of these saucers exist currently? What is their combat effectiveness? How many do you control, and how many do Kang Hui and the others control?"

The Dragon Girl explained, "When we first arrived on Earth, there were one thousand—one hundred per ship. Over the known five centuries, natural attrition accounts for one hundred and fifty. Adding the losses from battles during this recent period brings the total loss to three hundred and thirty, leaving five hundred and twenty remaining. The number of saucers we can still control is no more than two hundred, including the squadron escorting me. My trip to Yanshan was precisely to contact an old ship owner there, hoping he would lend the eighty saucers under his control to my brother to quell the rebels. As for their combat strength, they are equipped with high-power laser emitters, their firepower dozens of times greater than a standard laser gun. They are arguably the most formidable weapons right now. Our standard laser guns are utterly useless against them; only those giant plasma-spewing worms are their nemesis."

The three saucers had finished landing. Unsure if the newcomers were friend or foe, I dared not act rashly. If they turned out to be allies looking for the Dragon Girl and I struck them down, it would be a huge mess. I could only wait for them to emerge and let the Dragon Girl identify them.

"Look quickly, are these people yours!" A group of soldiers carrying laser guns emerged from the saucers. I hurriedly asked the Dragon Girl.

The Dragon Girl said, "No, they are Kang Hui's clones. Someone, likely the Werewolf, must have spread the news of my capture, and Kang Hui sent ships to retrieve me."

I raised the Laser Sword. "I'll add three more ships to your side. Make sure you number them later. If this confusing war continues, we are bound to lose."

The Dragon Girl replied, "I will follow the Dragon Emissary's words, please rest assured, Dragon Emissary."

Those clone soldiers had already sensed something amiss; the wolf corpses on the ground explained everything. They cautiously advanced toward the cave. I ignited the Laser Sword and charged out into the pouring rain.

Raindrops struck the laser beam, creating clouds of mist. Seeing me emerge from the cave, the clone soldiers immediately aimed their guns at me. They spoke words I didn't understand, seemingly demanding I surrender my weapon.

Since they were only clones, I decided not to offer them the courtesy of taking prisoners. With a sweep of the Laser Sword, I felled one after another. The remaining soldiers retreated, using the saucers as cover while firing at me.

I certainly didn't dare trade blows with their lasers. Relying on my superior speed, I dodged their fire while seizing opportunities to counterattack. Soon, only a few of the clone soldiers remained. Seeing the tide turn, the rest scrambled back into the saucers, preparing for escape. With a few swift slashes, I cut down several soldiers and prepared to rush into the saucers to capture the pilots.

Unexpectedly, the three saucers ignored the fate of their remaining soldiers, swiftly sealed their hatches, powered up, and prepared to flee the mountaintop. I became momentarily desperate. If I couldn't acquire the saucers, letting them escape would only increase the enemy's strength. I decided to disable them instead. Since these saucers were irreplaceable, destroying one meant one less existed, eventually leaving us to fight a genuine ground battle to see who was truly stronger.

With that thought, I leaped onto one of the saucers just about to take off. I plunged the Laser Sword through the top center of the disk and pulled it all the way down. A massive fissure ripped across the saucer's body. Inside, there was a cacophony of crackling sounds. If they couldn't maintain a healthy saucer, this wrecked one was beyond repair.

The remaining two saucers unleashed their equipped laser weapons to suppress me. Seeing them about to fly away, I grew anxious. I lifted the now-crippled saucer beneath my feet and hurled it into the sky. It struck the saucer with the fiercest firepower, and the two metallic hulls collided violently, exploding in the sky with a tremendous boom.

The last remaining saucer, sensing the danger, immediately ceased firing and rapidly ascended toward the higher atmosphere. Elena rushed out and shouted to me, "Zhao Qian! Don't let it escape, or our position will be exposed!"

Elena was right. With limited communication capabilities due to the lack of satellites, the events here might not be known outside. But if this last saucer escaped, Kang Hui would quickly learn of our presence, likely drawing more forces to surround us. Our band of frail and injured people would hardly stand a chance then.

But how could I catch it? Supersonic speed! I needed to reach supersonic velocity to fly. But could my current stamina sustain that?

In my anxiety, I felt the blood vessels in my temples throbbing. My heart hammered as if struck by a sledgehammer—Boom! Boom! Boom!—each beat louder than the last, shaking my clothes. Blood vessels bulged visibly beneath my skin from the rapid influx of blood.

I let out a long cry to the heavens and charged into the heavy raindrops, my Laser Sword pointing directly at the saucer ahead. Instantly, I was in front of it. Whoosh! I brought the sword down from above. Hum! Bang! The high-speed saucer suddenly split in half, gliding forward briefly due to inertia before crashing to the ground in a violent explosion.

I landed back on the summit and sheathed the Laser Sword. Elena, ignoring the heavy rain, ran to my side. "That was amazing! You can actually fly? What kind of martial art is that?"

I said proudly, "Qinggong, understand? It's incredibly potent stuff."

Elena shook my arm. "Teach me, can you?"

I replied, "I can, but with that figure of yours, you'll need to lose some weight. Otherwise, just those two big things alone might prevent you from taking off—too heavy."

Elena glanced down at her chest, soaked through by the rain, and replied with reluctance, "Never mind. It's fine that you can. If I got rid of those two, I don't know if you'd still like me. Women shouldn't be too ambitious; if it's not suitable for us to learn, we won't."

Back in the cave, everyone was still in shock. The Dragon Girl wiped a bead of water splashed onto her face and asked hesitantly, "You really can fly?"

I explained, "As long as the speed is fast enough, any object can escape Earth's gravity. It’s the same principle as a rocket launch."

The Dragon Girl, however, said, "Toma Shi mentioned in the prophecy that the Dragon Emissary would fly. I always doubted that, because our genes were composite-engineered with this aspect in mind. We have created winged species through gene hybridization, but none could achieve flight. Seeing the Dragon Emissary soar into the sky and shoot down enemy saucers just now, I now believe it."

I said, "The human desire to fly has existed in every civilized era, but physical limitations have always prevented breaking free from gravity. However, Dragon Girl, if you wish to fly, I can take you."

Elena interjected, "If you take her, what about me?"

I replied, "You stand on my left, and she will be on my right."

Elena fell silent. She knew she was merely the twelfth woman I had been intimate with; if she were to feel jealous, it shouldn't start with her.

I turned to the Dragon Girl. "We can't stay here. Kang Hui will surely grow suspicious if three saucers don't return for a long time. If those plasma worms catch up to us, we'll be in big trouble."

The Dragon Girl said firmly, "Then we continue our journey. We walk even if it rains; we can't worry about that now."

I found the oilcloth I used for sleeping and tried tying something that vaguely resembled an umbrella, handing it to the Dragon Girl. "Your immunity is too low; use this to shield yourself from the rain."

The Dragon Girl took it, gratitude evident. "Thank you, Dragon Emissary. You should use it yourself; your body is far more precious than ours."

I took off my outer garment and draped it over Elena. "I am impervious to all poisons; I'm not as delicate as you all. Let's go! It's a pity, though; we planned to travel by saucer, and now they’re all scrap metal."

The Dragon Girl looked at me with some reverence. "We have fought the rebels many times, usually downing their ships at a one-to-one or two-to-one ratio. I truly never imagined the Dragon Emissary could destroy three saucers single-handedly. If my brother knew of this, he would be overjoyed."

To be honest, I sometimes wondered if this Dragon Girl was Fuxi's sister from ancient mythology. Hearing her constantly mention 'brother,' I felt oddly uncomfortable, as if I were being petty or jealous. Ah, it was just because she resembled the wives I left at home so much. I hadn't seen them in so many days; I truly missed them. I wondered how things were back home. I hoped that man in black hadn't caused any trouble. If he dared to harm even a single hair on their heads, I would ensure not even his bones remained!

Xiaoke was whispering something to the Dragon Girl, who listened while stealing glances at me. The three handmaidens also interjected occasionally. The one whose limbs had been severed looked significantly better. Their lifespan was less than thirty years; life was indeed short.

Another piece of oilcloth was wrapped around the handmaiden with severed limbs. The group began descending the mountain in the heavy rain. Due to the excessive rainfall, several dangerous moments occurred on the downhill path. The Dragon Girl slipped several times, confirming her constitution truly wasn't as robust as the others.

Even Elena began to feel inadequate. She whispered to me from my back, "Zhao Qian, why don't I get off, and you carry the Dragon Girl? She’s worse off than even Xiaoke, who was injured. The rain is so heavy; if something really happened to her, we wouldn't have anyone left here who could communicate with us."

I replied, "I have the heart to, but she might not agree to let me carry her."

Elena jumped down from my back. "How will you know if you don't try? You're too timid; I'll go talk to her."

Elena did go and negotiate with the Dragon Girl. To Elena's surprise, the Dragon Girl readily agreed. Elena returned to me, saying, "I'm so foolish! I forgot this is effectively a primitive era here. I just handed over my boyfriend; what a loss."

I assured Elena, "Don't worry. Nothing scandalous will happen between us. Even if she wanted to, I couldn't harm her. You understand that principle, right? Our genetics are fundamentally incompatible—fire and water."

Elena pushed me toward the Dragon Girl. "That makes me feel a bit better. Carry her carefully. I have many questions I still want to ask her; don't let anything go wrong."

I was quite shy, but the Dragon Girl, conversely, was very generous and proactively leaned back onto my back. I gently placed my hands around her hips and stood up. Despite the downpour, I felt it was incredibly romantic.

"Dragon Emissary, you are working hard," the Dragon Girl murmured softly on my back, her fragrant breath swirling around my neck. Taking a deep breath was immensely comforting.

"It's no trouble. Your surname is Long (Dragon), and I am the Dragon Emissary; we are related by definition. Besides, it is my honor to carry a princess like you for a walk in the rain. Has no one ever told you how beautiful you are?"
