Going to the girls' dormitory for lunch on Friday, Su Xue didn't know how to cook anything else, and cooking was out of the question in the dorm anyway because of the heavy smoke. Everyone was having boiled noodles again, but this time without alcohol; the kind of madness we had last time was a rare event, and thankfully, I didn't miss it.
While eating noodles, Su Xue said, "Junior Brother, do you think my cooking skills will be enough to trick a good husband someday?"
I stood up to ladle noodles from the pot, replying, "Yes! Our Xue'er is naturally clever, pretty, and cute; you’ll definitely land a rich man in the future! You’re blessed."
Su Xue poked me with a chopstick: "Go on! Do you think I’m like Qianqian? She’s having a blast; I don't know which rich young master she hooked up with, but she’s been spending money like crazy lately. Heh, look around the dorm—almost everything we eat, wear, and use now is on her dime."
Ouyang Qian said dismissively, "If I land a rich man, what's wrong with letting my sisters enjoy a bit of it too?"
