Shi Yan manifested in his Primal form, his monstrous physique towering like a demon god poised amidst the stellar expanse, his fierce, domineering aura that scorned the heavens and earth causing the very firmament to tremble.
He felt a wonder like never before!
The Continent of Divine Grace within him dissolved, and within the sinews of his physical body, energy surged like a torrential flood, permeating his bones, flesh, and five viscera, penetrating deep into the Ancient Tree of Divine Power, making that ancient tree swell with pure, intense energy!
Blood boiled, and countless visual memories, insights into profound truths (Aoyi), and comprehensions were extracted from the strange energy that merged with his blood, flying into his mind, vanishing into his soul of profound truth.
Those were the residual memories lingering within the essence blood of the Desolate Clone on the Continent of Divine Grace!
In the Primal Era, the God of War, Huang (Desolate), campaigned across the realms, slaying many of his own kind, drawing out their Primal essence blood to complete the metamorphosis of his own lineage and the evolution of his physical form!
In that era, Huang was the nightmare of all Primal beings; countless entities perished under his hand. Among them were the owners of fallen stars—the powerful beings who cultivated the Aoyi of Stars—and many other creatures who practiced the Aoyi of Space and Life were also annihilated, their Primal essence blood refined.
The insights and perceptions of power that those strong beings held, their life experiences, were imprinted within the Primal essence blood, which Huang incorporated into his body. Within this clone of Huang, those memories, sensations, and understandings of profound truth resided.
Images unfolded, segments of memory flashed, scenes played out—all rising from that Primal essence blood, merging into Shi Yan's mind, his understanding of truth, and his thoughts.
This was a comprehensive windfall!
His Divine Body, while merging with the Continent of Divine Grace and the Altar of the Soul, was meticulously sifting and refining the beneficial aspects from those memories, thoughts, and visions. At this moment, Shi Yan was like an intricate machine, assimilating all the nourishment that could foster the growth of his strength, aiming to become stronger faster through this process.
The crystal wall of the starry sky in the Cloud-Shrouded Domain was repaired, and Zi Yao retracted her true form, settling silently beside Shi Yan, suspended within the Amethyst Throne.
Han Tian, Xi Luo, Mandiss, and others did not depart; they gathered around Shi Yan, ready to react at any moment.
They did not know if Huang would return, forcing them to remain on high alert, prepared for the recurrence of catastrophe.
And so they waited. Another considerable span of time passed. Shi Yan’s Primal body gradually contracted, shifting slowly back towards his original Human form as he absorbed and digested the power.
The others watched with astonishment, yet kept their gaze fixed upon him, waiting silently.
"He should be able to break through to the third heaven of the Domain Ancestor realm with this," Zi Yao murmured, the light in her eyes gradually brightening. "Back then, Huang slew many powerful beings, and their insights into profound truth were integrated into the Primal essence blood. Essentially, the Primal essence blood is the essence of the physical body, the body’s memory. Huang did not cultivate the Aoyi of Devouring; rather, when he drew out the Primal essence blood, he condensed the memories and profound insights of the victims within the blood to enhance his own comprehension..."
Seeing the curiosity on everyone’s faces, Zi Yao smiled faintly. "Shi Yan merging with his clone means he has thoroughly examined the memories, profound truths, and insights of those beings tragically slain by Huang in the Primal Era, forging them into his own life experience. Furthermore, the energy of that Huang clone is immense and pure enough to propel him to the peak of his Divine Power accumulation."
Everyone gazed deeply at Shi Yan.
At that moment, Shi Yan had transformed into his normal human shape, sitting quietly in the void, eyes closed.
Another decade had passed.
Throughout these ten years, the mighty figures of the Cloud-Shrouded Domain had not left. They only occasionally communicated via sound stones, directing their subordinates and observing the situation across the stellar seas.
Warfare continued to rage in every domain. Although the Seven Clans had quieted down, the smaller races and factions intensified their internecine conflicts. They battled across the Void Sea, within the major domains, and throughout numerous star systems, fighting for racial ascendancy, territorial acquisition, and the monopolization of cultivation resources...
The conflict never ceased.
The remnants of the Black Demon Clan, Ancient Demon Clan, and Soul Clan remained mysteriously vanished. They had not resurfaced in the stellar seas, and no one knew where they hid.
The Devourer Clan strictly guarded their ancestral territory, refraining from joining the major conflicts. Because Egar was stationed there and due to the deterrence exerted by Shi (Devourer), smaller races dared not offend them, keeping a wide berth from the Devourer Clan.
Yuan Zu was unheard of, not causing further trouble, having temporarily fallen silent.
The confrontation between Solon, Shi (Devourer), and Huang ended inconclusively. Huang had not personally visited the Cloud-Shrouded Domain; perhaps he was relentlessly pursuing Solon, or perhaps, consumed by rage, he was keeping Shi (Devourer) under constant scrutiny.
The Cloud-Shrouded Domain enjoyed a decade of peace.
The Celestial Rock Continent, solidified from Shi Yan’s power, was now teeming with experts. Among them, Xuan He and Feliette, having witnessed the titanic battle between Huang and Hui, and seeing the realm and power of Han Tian and Xi Luo, had made immense progress in just ten years, subtly nearing the Domain Ancestor realm themselves.
The Celestial Rock Continent gathered many powerful beings who had left the Desolate Domain. Utilizing the vast wealth plundered from the Soul Clan, Black Demon Clan, and Ancient Demon Clan, the cultivators there experienced rapid advancement, gradually forming a formidable force, showing signs of challenging the Seven Great Clans.
Mandiss frequently traveled between the Cloud-Shrouded Domain and the Celestial Rock Continent, spending time on the latter to instruct Xia Xinyan in the Aoyi of Time. With her personal guidance, coupled with the use of rare treasures from her own cultivation history and numerous Illusory Mirrors, Xia Xinyan’s realm grew extremely fast, reaching Immortality, though still a step away from the Domain Ancestor realm.
Having obtained the Primal Source Talisman of Water, and further boosted by numerous wondrous water-based treasures, the Sea Shark Emperor successfully broke through, entering the second heaven of the Domain Ancestor realm during these ten years, thanks to his substantial foundation.
Wielding the Soul Refining Cauldron, Audrey achieved a bizarre breakthrough into the Domain Ancestor realm, becoming the Matriarch of the Underworld Sovereign Clan, transmitting many mysterious profound truths to her kin, causing the cultivation realms of the Underworld Sovereign Clan members to climb swiftly...
"Solon has sent messages several times, inviting us to the Gate of Primal Beginning. He contacted us again a few days ago..." Mandiss turned to Zi Yao, detailing the recent situation.
"We also received Solon's communication," Han Tian and Xi Luo stated in unison.
Long before the stellar seas were thrown into chaos, Solon had discussed the matter with Xi Luo, Han Tian, and Mandiss, inviting them to the Gate of Primal Beginning together. However, Shi Yan's frenzied slaughter—the monstrous carnage he wrought upon the Soul Clan, Devourer Clan, Black Demon Clan, and Ancient Demon Clan—had caused massive upheaval in the stellar seas and provoked widespread conflict among the races, forcing a halt to the plan.
Now that the Seven Clans were no longer engaged in direct combat, and the major Domain Ancestor experts were either in hiding or cultivating peacefully, Solon had issued the invitation once more.
"It seems he has managed to escape Huang's pursuit," Zi Yao commented with a strange smile upon hearing this. "Ten years ago, if he and Shi (Devourer) hadn't intervened at the crucial moment, we might have struggled greatly to resist Huang, and Shi Yan couldn't have merged so smoothly. Huang recalled a portion of his soul, likely retaliating against Solon and Shi (Devourer) in his fury. The fact that Solon and the Devourer Clan remained inactive for the next decade suggests they were kept thoroughly occupied by Huang. Now that Solon is inviting us again, it means he has broken free..."
Pausing there, Zi Yao’s expression turned curious. "I am truly fascinated—how exactly did Solon manage to pacify Huang? How much do you all know about this individual?" she asked, looking at Han Tian and the others.
Han Tian, Xi Luo, and Mandiss exchanged glances and shook their heads. Mandiss spoke up: "He existed in extremely ancient times; no one knows how long he has lived. Legend says he appeared in the stellar seas after the end of the Primal Era, making him one of the oldest beings of this age..."
"What about you? How much do you know?" Zi Yao turned to Dracula.
Dracula was an elder expert of the Bone Clan, having survived longer than Han Tian and the others. He had dealings with Solon in the very early days, which prompted Zi Yao's inquiry.
"When I was born, Solon was already famous throughout the realms. He was a Grand Sage, the planner and primary participant in many great events. For instance, in my time, neither the Land of the Void nor the Sea of Ruin existed; those areas were inaccessible to living beings. It was Solon who broadly invited powerful individuals to explore them together, ultimately excavating both the Land of the Void and the Sea of Ruin. To put it simply, many miraculous places in the Void Sea are only known and understood now because Solon opened them up..."
Dracula frowned deeply. "Back then, everyone speculated that Solon might be searching for something or aiming for some objective by developing the Sea of Ruin and the Land of the Void. But speculation was all we had; the specifics were unclear. However, I believe he definitely had his own desires, otherwise, he wouldn't have led everyone on explorations to carve out new territories."
His words elicited looks of astonishment from the others, a sense of wonder in their hearts.
Even Han Tian and the others were unaware that stellar wonders like the Sea of Ruin and the Land of the Void had once been hidden, only brought to light through Solon's invitations.
"Does that mean the Gate of Primal Beginning might be another Sea of Ruin? A place Solon intends to develop anew?" Han Tian wondered aloud.
"Everything he did in the past had one purpose—to prepare for the opening of the Gate of Primal Beginning!" Zi Yao looked at the group, a bright halo shimmering across her face. "Including the upheaval of the stellar seas, the collapse of domains, and the wars between races—it was likely all orchestrated and planned by him from behind the scenes! Everything was for the sake of the Gate of Primal Beginning!"
The others looked confused. "Why do you say that?" Dracula asked in surprise, voicing the collective unspoken question.
"Ten years ago, before Shi Yan began refining Huang's clone, I quietly visited the Endless Abyss and circled around the Gate of Primal Beginning," Zi Yao stated, her pupils flashing with dazzling, strange light. "The Gate of Primal Beginning is vastly different now than it was in our era. That gate hadn't changed much back then, but now... the changes are extremely obvious. Those transformations must be a result of the massive shift in the stellar seas and Solon's machinations..."
The others still didn't fully grasp the implications.
Zi Yao did not elaborate on the details, saying calmly, "When we reach the Endless Abyss, you will naturally understand. As for Solon's invitation... you don't need to pay it any mind. With Shi Yan here, and with me, we can enter the Endless Abyss and reach the Gate of Primal Beginning ourselves; we don't need to go with others."
With a cold snort, she concluded, "If Shi Yan doesn't go, they can guard the Gate of Primal Beginning for a hundred million years to no avail. Solon's persistent invitations aren't truly meant for you; he is only trying to invite Shi Yan!"
