Watching the endless stream of martial artists surging forth from the heart of the volcano, Mandice stood stunned, feeling as if she were caught in a dream.
She clearly remembered descending into the heart of the volcano previously, noting that the teleportation array positioned over the molten pool was definitively shattered—a matrix so damaged that even her level of cultivation could not mend it.
It was precisely because she lacked an escape route that she was placed entirely on the defensive, allowing Youyu and others to seize her lifeline, coercing her to self-destruct under the threat of racial annihilation.
Yet now, familiar figures were emerging one by one from the crater, making her doubt her own eyes.
"Could that teleportation array truly not have been destroyed? How is that possible?" She began to doubt herself; this was unthinkable before, but now, with her divine power drastically diminished, the defenses of her spirit had quietly slackened, leaving her uncertain about her own perception.
"Hantian! Judy!"
Beverly was battered by a halo condensed from the black and white serpentine markings of a Sky Serpent. The resulting curtain of rushing seawater emitted a tremendous roar, and she suddenly shrieked, undisguised panic flashing in her eyes. "Shiro! Gai! Bone Clan!" Seeing another group subsequently emerge, Beverly’s face turned ashen.
Youyu, Ega, and Rupert also wore grave expressions, their minds unsettled by the sudden turn of events. Ziyao’s arrival had reversed the situation and shattered their painstakingly crafted scheme. Now, with the appearance of Hantian and Shiro, the balance of power between the two sides had become truly equal.
"Elder Yuanzu, I implore you to keep her occupied, otherwise winning this battle will be extremely difficult." Ega quickly regained his composure, pondered for a moment, and immediately demanded Yuanzu take action.
Ziyao’s Sky Serpent clones posed an immense threat, preventing them from dividing their attention effectively enough to handle the pressure brought by the arrival of Hantian and Shiro.
Yuanzu nodded with a cold face, saying no more. He strode across the void toward Ziyao.
"Hush, hush, hush..."
Waves manifested strangely beneath his feet in the sky, instantly condensing into a surging, deep ocean. The water was black as ink, each drop weighing more than ten thousand jun, each drop forged from pure soul power, capable of submerging heaven and earth, dragging all living beings within the true domain into its depths to be crushed by the pressure.
Deep within the heavy billows, Yuanzu’s human form vanished. His Primordial true body flickered in and out of sight, sending out a wave of the Water Quintessence that swept through the eight desolate directions, submerging all things. The seawater expanded rapidly, impacting the very fabric of this surrounding void and sky.
The warships of the four clans, upon seeing the torrential seawater submerge the sky, began to sink amidst the shouts of their respective leaders, plummeting toward the fire-spouting volcanoes below.
Xiaolie, Jianí, and Tianxie and his group were already engaged in combat with the clansmen of the four races. After many years, Tianxie had also ascended to the first heaven of the Domain Ancestor realm; his cultivation was exquisite and extraordinary, his strength in no way inferior to Xiaolie or Jianí.
Each of them bore an obscure dark-blue serpentine mark on their foreheads—a slave seal—signifying that they served Ziyao as their master, linking their souls to him.
"Kill them all! After this battle, the structure of the Void Sea will undergo a massive upheaval. From this day forward, my Tiangong Clan will also claim a seat!"
Xiaolie rallied his clansmen, roaring as a spectacular fire lotus spanning a hundred acres materialized above his head, forged from dense flames. Each petal of the lotus was crimson as crystal, radiating a pungent blaze.
Tens of thousands of fist-sized flames flew out from within the fire lotus, imbued with life essence, lunging toward the nearest Soul Clan members.
The Soul Clan cultivators honed the power of the soul; this cold profundity was precisely what they feared from scorching flames. As those clusters of fire struck, the sea of consciousness of many Soul Clan powerhouses emitted crackling sounds of combustion. Their faces turned pale as they hastily tried to evade.
Xiaolie roared with wild laughter, high-spirited, releasing the fire cones he had tempered, striking out violently in every direction.
The Tiangong clansmen, seeing Xiaolie unleash his might, were greatly invigorated. Many of them grinned, using their consciousness to stimulate the volcanoes beneath them.
Those volcanoes were their forges, having long been unified with their spirits. Under the guidance of their souls, hundreds of fire-spouting volcanoes boiled over, maniacally shooting out a sky full of flames. These streams of fire, like raging dragons, inflicted terrible damage upon the clansmen of the four races.
Jianí of the Secret Rune Clan squinted slightly, her hands constantly sketching something in the empty air.
Ghastly patterns, drawn with soul power as lines—depicting demons, vengeful ghosts, and the Asuras and Yakshas of Purgatory—emerged, massive and ferocious as mountains. They struck the surrounding enemies with lifelike vigor. Jianí’s body, naturally inscribed with secret runes, writhed, her bewitching face filled with an uncanny expression.
"Crack!"
A green-faced, tusked fiend dozens of feet high seized three Shi Clan warriors, stuffed them into its mouth, and began chewing. Then, green blood dripped from its jaws, making one’s scalp crawl.
Every demon, vengeful spirit, and Asura Yaksha corresponded to the runes on Jianí’s body, allowing her to easily exert her power upon her prey, assaulting the enemy’s soul and divine body simultaneously.
Tianxie and the patriarchs of the God Clans were also fighting with all their might, cooperating with Ziyao's main body and clones to unleash power upon the four clans' warships.
Soul altars appeared above the heads of the God Clan patriarchs, spinning ceaselessly as if gathering power for a concerted strike. Soon, beams of light shot out from hundreds of soul altars, transforming into the God Clan's "Divine Punishment." With every brilliant blast unleashed, a warship was pierced through.
"Who dares fight me?"
Hantian, the Old Ancestor of the Profound Heaven Clan, his face flushed with excitement and fervor.
He took a single step, materializing where the fighting was most intense. His eyes resembled twin fiery worlds, within which endless flames burned, seemingly capable of reducing an entire domain to ash.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."
Miraculously, his robes disintegrated into ash, and fierce flames erupted wildly, enveloping his entire body. He became a blazing inferno, his features obscured, only the tyrannical and intense flame energy could be felt. The surrounding air exploded with sharp cracks as it burned, causing many to recoil and evade.
"You madman, be careful not to burn your own people!"
Seeing many Tiangong clansmen retreating due to the heatwave, Judy couldn't help but curse, then swiftly moved to Hantian’s side, calmly issuing orders to her kin: "Begin."
The Profound Heaven clansmen responded with roars of charge, like savage beasts breaking free from cages, launching themselves frantically toward the clansmen of Youyu and Beverly.
"Fight," Shiro, like an indestructible sharp weapon, shot toward Rupert, coldly stating, "I’ve long wanted a battle with you; today, I will fight to my heart’s content!"
The Bone Clan members unleashed rows of skeletal islands, emitting a deathly chill. Standing upon these islands, they joined the fray.
The skeletal islands resembled thousands of gigantic skulls magnified millions of times, eerie and cold, condensed with potent baleful energy. Within the crystalline bones of every Bone Clan member, liquid-like energy flowed, granting them extreme power.
Led by Hantian and Shiro, the clansmen of the Profound Heaven and Bone Clans charged toward the four clans’ people. In this remote sea of volcanic clouds, the Void Sea, quiet for years, erupted into the most brutal and savage conflict, a battle that would determine the status of the seven clans for the future, influencing the distribution of power for the next hundreds of thousands of years!
"Little girl, rest and recover properly. I can’t take it easy anymore; I must strike personally," Ziyao withdrew his smile, informing Mandice beside him, then transformed into a seven-colored rainbow, carrying the Purple Crystal Throne toward the head section of his main Sky Serpent body. As he landed, the eleven split serpents converged, their tails merging strangely.
The Sky Serpent body soared above the spatial layers below, rising into the upper void submerged by the black sea, entering the deep ocean where Yuanzu’s true body was active.
Two terrifying beings who should not be active in this era clashed head-on tens of thousands of feet above the volcanic clouds. Within the inky-black deep sea, following Ziyao's sharp cry, billions of rays of radiance tore through, illuminating the area like countless exploding fireworks—a brilliant, heart-stopping splendor amidst extreme peril.
Mandice, who should have been the protagonist, instead became an observer. Standing on a volcano rim, she gazed upward, then looked toward the violently turbulent battle beside her. She watched soul altars shatter and massive warships explode, and suddenly froze.
"That’s not right. There shouldn't only be these people. Where are my clan members? Where is Shiyan?"
By this point, she had figured it out: the teleportation array in the heart of the volcano must have been repaired rapidly due to Shiyan’s interference.
In the entire world, only Shiyan, skilled in Spatial Quintessence and having broken through to the Domain Ancestor realm, could have accomplished such a feat, transporting the entire armies of the Profound Heaven and Bone Clans over.
Then, where had Shiyan gone? In this decisive battle that would determine the future, encompassing almost all the most powerful forces in the entire Star Sea, how could Shiyan possibly not be involved?
Mandice was deeply perplexed.
This same doubt lingered in Yuanzu’s mind, as well as in the minds of Youyu, Ega, and Beverly, causing them all a measure of disquiet even in the midst of battle.
The arrival of the Profound Heaven and Bone Clans signified the most ferocious battle in the Star Sea. At this critical juncture, Shiyan’s absence was unthinkable!
Having learned of Shiyan’s terrifying strength from Yuanzu, the visible figures could not see him, and an unshakable shadow constantly haunted their hearts, making it impossible for them to truly settle down.
Because Shiyan was a God of Slaughter, a frenzied tyrant who completely disregarded the rules of heaven and earth, capable of soaking the world in blood for his own selfish desires. Such a person, once driven to madness, could generate a destructive force that would terrify anyone.
He had already proven this point through the devastating massacre he wrought upon the ancestral lands of the four clans.
A spatial master capable of traversing the void, moving freely across major domains, and reaching the end of the sea of domains in a single thought, was the nightmare lurking in every enemy’s heart—a threat so immense that it made every adversary sleepless and uneasy!
If the God of Slaughter does not appear, how can anyone feel secure?
