As the Starry Sky Profundity Origin of Shi Yan erupted, the members of the Yun Clan instantly understood, and Darsa, Cilan, Fan Huinnai, and O’Quinn all felt clarity in their hearts. The most famous legend of the Yunmeng Realm concerned the Primordial Divine Artifact, the Fallen Star River.
For ten thousand years, many outsiders who cultivated the Starry Sky Profundity had entered the Yunmeng Realm through the domain gates, exploring the Fallen Star River deep within the sea of clouds. Most of those people gradually vanished—some killed by the Yun Clan, others disappearing without a trace.
Later, fewer and fewer people came, until Fan Dele broke through to the Domain Ancestor realm. As a martial artist of the Starry Sky Profundity, he held an incomparably intense obsession with the Fallen Star River of those Primordial Beings!
He led the strong practitioners of the Phantom Race and directly subjugated the Yunmeng Realm, preparing for long-term exploration. The domain gate of the Yunmeng Realm thus became exclusive to the Phantom Race, preventing any further penetration by outsiders.
Previously, Fan Dele and Darsa and the others had all been puzzled why Mandice deliberately led Shi Yan and his group into the Yunmeng Realm. They had initially guessed Mandice was deliberately targeting Fan Dele, but now, seeing Shi Yan comprehend the Starry Sky Profundity, they suddenly understood the reason.
It was for the Fallen Star River too! “It seems Mandice has already told you the mysteries of the Yunmeng Realm.
No wonder you’re clinging to this sacred land and refusing to leave—you want a piece of the Fallen Star River too!” Fan Dele sneered, his face cold. “I took control of the Yunmeng Realm many years ago and have cultivated here for a long time without finding the Fallen Star River.
Do you really think you can?” “I came to secure a foothold first. As for the Fallen Star River… I’ll let fate decide,” Shi Yan stated his position.
Initially, he truly hadn't come for the Fallen Star River. He was only seeking a place where the Divine Grace Continent could cultivate safely.
But for some unknown reason, he now felt an intense sense of urgency, a creeping danger. This feeling originated deep within his soul!
It was as if, in the shadows, a pair of eyes were fixed upon him, like a bloodthirsty beast, waiting for the opportune moment to swallow him whole, chew him up, and grind him to dust! This feeling intensified with every passing day!
After deep contemplation, he slowly began to understand where the sense of crisis originated. —The Desolation!
The Desolation had awakened and was gradually recovering; its power grew daily. It had merged with two of its splinter souls.
Once the Desolation recovered substantially, its primary goal would be to kill him and refine his secondary soul to forge the complete soul space of The Desolation! Every bit stronger The Desolation became, the more formidable the oppressive force it exuded.
The secondary soul and The Desolation shared a subtle connection, allowing him to feel this pressure regardless of the distance! He had to grow stronger, and rapidly at that—to break through to the Domain Ancestor realm as quickly as possible and find every means to boost his power and strength!
Otherwise, if The Desolation found him while he was still weak, only complete obliteration awaited! At the very least, he knew that in his current state, he stood no chance against The Desolation.
If he were found, it would be a dead end, so he needed to become strong at the fastest possible speed before The Desolation fully assimilated the power of its split selves! The Fallen Star River was the core of the Primordial Beings who mastered the Starry Sky Profundity.
If he could obtain it, perhaps he could use it to ascend to the Domain Ancestor realm and significantly enhance his cultivation base. This was why he was genuinely tempted when Mandice mentioned the Fallen Star River.
“I have a proposal,” High Priest O’Quinn suddenly interjected. He glanced at Fan Dele, then looked toward Shi Yan and the Sea Shark Emperor, saying, “Rumor has it the Fallen Star River sank deep into the sea of clouds.
As the High Priest of the Yun Clan, I am intimately familiar with the ancient secrets of our people. As far as I know, this rumor is largely true.
Many of our predecessors explored the depths of the sea of clouds, and through generations of searching, they located a peculiar spot. That location is sealed now, overlaid by layers of space, like sheets of paper covering something.
Only by opening these layers of space can one know what lies beneath…” O’Quinn’s words instantly captured everyone’s attention, their eyes shining brightly. O’Quinn’s personal cultivation realm was not high—only Immortal Second Heaven.
His talent for cultivation was average. However, he was much older than Darsa, and he had presided over the Yun Clan’s sacrificial rites for many years, meaning he possessed knowledge of many Yun Clan secrets that others did not.
Thus, it was natural that he knew the intricacies of the Fallen Star River. “The previous High Priest speculated that if the Fallen Star River really lay at the bottom of the sea of clouds, it must be beneath those layers of space.
That location was discovered by successive generations of our Yun Clan priestly order. Without our guidance, even if you spent another thousand years, you probably wouldn’t find that spot.” As O’Quinn spoke, pride flashed across his face.
He cast a cold glance at Fan Dele and snorted, “If I die, no one will know that location anymore!” Fan Dele’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “Continue.” “Legend says the Fallen Star River was dragged down, pulled by something beneath the sea of clouds.
That object must be beneath those spatial barriers,” O’Quinn’s eyes burned with desire. “We too are desperate to know what truly lies there.
Over the years, I secretly sought out practitioners of Space Profundity, trying to break the seal, but alas…” He shook his head. “The Space Profundity masters I found were all too low in realm—the highest was only Immortal First Heaven, and he died from exhaustion while attempting to crack it.” His expression grew agitated as he turned to Shi Yan.
“You are a peak Immortal practitioner of Space Profundity, and being able to condense space crystal walls means your true power is even greater! Perhaps you could try to break through that barrier and uncover what lies within!” “What about us?” Cilan exclaimed sharply.
“No one knows exactly what is beneath, or what dangers lurk there. Moreover, I know that with the strength of our Yun Clan alone, it will be extremely difficult to unlock that secret.
Therefore, I propose we all descend together and solve this mystery that has persisted for tens of thousands of years.” O’Quinn urged. He had his own agenda.
Seeing that Shi Yan, the Sea Shark Emperor, and Fan Dele were evenly matched, he invited both sides, intending to let them fight while he looked for an opportunity. That was why he revealed the secret in front of both Shi Yan and Fan Dele—to draw them in together.
Shi Yan and Fan Dele exchanged a glance, neither bringing up the issue of how to divide the Fallen Star River. After a moment of consideration, they both nodded, seemingly agreeing to O’Quinn’s proposal.
Immediately, Shi Yan released his soul intent and sent a message back to the Divine Grace Continent. Figures gradually pierced through the surface of the Divine Grace Continent and landed beside Shi Yan and Fan Dele.
They were Ming Hao, Xuan He, Phillette, Audrey, the Sacred Beast Azure Dragon, Di Caro, Ready, and the Blood Demon—all powerful figures who had reached the Immortal realm. This count did not include those who migrated from other star territories of the Desolate Domain.
As these figures emerged, the expressions of Cilan, Darsa, and O’Quinn grew solemn. They had not anticipated that such a multitude of Immortal powerhouses could emerge from a mere Life Star, especially Ming Hao, who was clearly at the peak of the Immortal realm, only a single step away from the Domain Ancestor realm, seemingly poised to break through at any moment.
All the members of the Yun Clan felt the pressure, realizing these outsiders were indeed formidable dragons that could not be underestimated. “You don’t mind if I bring some backup, do you?” Shi Yan grinned wryly.
“It’s for everyone’s benefit, too. That way, if we run into any unpleasant situations, we can pool our strength for defense, right?” O’Quinn forced a dry laugh and nodded.
“Our strength is insufficient…” Cilan murmured softly. “We will also summon some strong allies over.
That will help everyone succeed in breaking the secret and benefit us all,” Darsa said, feeling the pressure, and quickly used a special sound stone to contact the Yun Clan powerhouses who had submitted to him. Even Fan Dele’s brow twitched as he released his thoughts, summoning his own subordinates to gather.
Several hours later, the Immortal powerhouses of the Yun Clan and the Phantom Race arrived, called by Darsa and Fan Dele, numbering over a dozen—all at the Immortal realm! This constituted the peak power of the Yunmeng Realm!
“Let’s go down,” Fan Dele said with a relaxed smile once the personnel were assembled, signaling O’Quinn to lead the way. O’Quinn nodded and led the group rushing toward the depths beneath the Divine Grace Continent, plunging into a thick layer of clouds.
Shi Yan, the Sea Shark Emperor, and the others stayed together. Upon entering the sea of clouds, their vision was severely obstructed.
The vast, milky-white clouds were thick, allowing them to see only those immediately beside them. Even when they released their soul consciousness, the range of perception was severely limited.
It was like being enveloped in dense white mist, boundless and endless. The Yunmeng Realm was vast.
If the region beneath the sea of clouds was this boundless, then anyone attempting to probe the mysteries of the Fallen Star River down here would be searching for a needle in a haystack; success would be almost impossible. It was clear the Yun Clan priestly order had invested immense effort, searching generation after generation to locate that singular oddity.
Once deep within the sea of clouds, Shi Yan truly believed O’Quinn’s words—without his guidance, they would never find that unique spot, even if given a thousand years. O’Quinn’s priestly order formed one faction; Shi Yan, the Sea Shark Emperor, and Ming Hao formed another; and Fan Dele and Cilan formed a third.
These three groups flew through the depths of the cloud sea, following O’Quinn’s directions toward the peculiar location discovered by generations of the Yun Clan's probing. Time slipped by.
It took over ten days just to penetrate the inner reaches of the cloud sea. The group continued to advance under O’Quinn’s guidance.
Just as everyone was growing impatient, O’Quinn’s speed ahead slowed. The group’s spirits were instantly lifted, their eyes flashing with curiosity as they quickly caught up.
O’Quinn stopped. He halted at a location where the air shimmered with undulating light.
Shi Yan and the others gathered closely and suddenly saw what appeared to be a pool of water in front of O’Quinn, its surface sparkling and gently rippling. Squinting, Shi Yan used his space power to probe, concentrating his spirit, his soul intent like a needle piercing toward the rippling surface.
“Hiss!” A spatial disturbance resonated from that rippling area. Shi Yan’s eyes brightened, and he laughed, “It is indeed a spatial barrier, and it’s naturally formed, not artificially condensed—marvelous!” Naturally formed spatial barriers were generally rare, masterpieces of nature, containing deeper mysteries of Space Profundity.
Just from a brief perception, Shi Yan was certain: if he could decipher the mystery of this natural spatial barrier, his understanding of Space Profundity would advance further, reaching an even higher echelon. His excitement mounted further.
