A flash of an eye, a month had passed, and it was finally the day of Lin He's two little buns' full moon celebration. It was time for the full moon banquet, and many relatives had come to the house.

From the Lin family side, Lin He's paternal grandparents, elder aunt, younger aunt, and Madam Zhou had all arrived. From Da Jiang's family, only Da Jiang himself came. Lin He knew that the matter involving Yu'er was unrelated to her paternal uncle; the uncle had always been a good man. Thus, treating the previous incident as if it hadn't happened, she warmly welcomed Da Jiang inside.

From the Wen family side, Elder Master Wen and Madam Wen both came, and in addition, Wen Ningmo arrived. After Elder Master Wen arrived, he held one grandson in each arm and refused to let go. Although Wen Ningchen's wife, Yu Zhen, had given birth to her first child a few months prior—a baby girl—this was Elder Master Wen's first time holding grandsons. He was utterly delighted, displaying the contentment of a man whose lineage was secured, and even declared that he would visit often from now on to keep a close eye on his little grandsons.

Madam Wen stayed by Elder Master Wen's side. Seeing him dote on the two children so much, she harbored no discontent. Gazing at the two identical little faces, she too was immensely fond of them, constantly joining Elder Master Wen in playing with the two little buns.

Before the meal, Madam Wen called Lin He aside and gave her some items, explaining that some things were entrusted to her by Concubine Luo. Due to the sensitive nature of the day, Concubine Luo, being a concubine, had not attended personally, so she asked Madam Wen to deliver these gifts on her behalf.

Furthermore, she handed Lin He a piece of jade, describing it as the Wen family heirloom, meant to be passed down to the eldest grandson of the Wen line, generation after generation. Since Elder Master Wen's branch now only had Lin He's two little buns as the eldest, it naturally fell to her to safeguard it.

Hearing it was a family treasure, Lin He hesitated to accept at first. It was only when Elder Master Wen approached and urged her to take it, stating it was for his grandsons and was merely being entrusted to Lin He's care, adding that such an ancestral tradition could not be defied, that Lin He finally accepted.

After Elder Master Wen and Madam Wen presented the gifts and departed, Wen Ningmo approached. He kept things simple: his gifts for his two young nephews were small gold ingots, each strung onto a tiny silver chain. When Lin He saw these, she teased Wen Ningmo for being so common.

Since the last conversation Lin He had with Wen Ningmo in the corridor, he had contemplated her words for a long time. He had finally grasped the true meaning behind Lin He's story about the rib. Because of this realization, he had finally and completely let go of the feelings he had harbored for Lin He over the years. Consequently, his state of mind upon seeing Lin He this time was completely different. He felt much lighter, as if he had reverted to being seven or eight years old in front of Lin He, able to say anything. Lin He also sensed the change in Xiao Mo, and she genuinely enjoyed this manner of interaction with him. She was certain that Xiao Mo would soon find his own rib.

Besides Elder Master Wen and his wife, the Fourth Master and his wife from the Wen family compound also attended. To Lin He's surprise, the Fifth Master, Wen Shixiang, was also there, bringing significant gifts for his two grandnephews.

Previously, Lin He hadn't held a particularly good impression of Wen Shixiang. However, she had heard that after the Old Madam and the Second and Third Masters were imprisoned, the Second and Third Madams proved inept at business. Within a few months, the shops that Elder Master Wen had managed so well were thrown into disarray by them. The Fourth Master, being a scholar, was not skilled in commerce, leaving Wen Shixiang to single-handedly manage the businesses of those brothers.

Moreover, Wen Shixiang was not only capable in business but also deeply sentimental. Even though the family shops had been divided, whenever a tricky business situation arose, he always prioritized kinship. Furthermore, his relationship with Elder Master Wen had been very harmonious lately. Although everyone now lived separately, their interactions had become smoother and simpler, free from the constant scheming that had plagued them before.

Today, only close relatives were present. Lin He hadn't planned a grand affair, but by the end, the house was packed. Every relative brought a welcoming gift for the two little buns, making Lin He's residence unprecedentedly lively that day.

As dinnertime approached, Wen Ningxuan went to host the male guests, while Lin He, accompanied by the maids, attended to the female relatives. The two little buns were entrusted to the care of Chen'er, Da Yuan, and the others. These young maids adored the children and could barely bear to put them down.

After tending to the guests, Lin He entered the inner rooms. The space was already occupied by the young women like Chen'er and Da Yuan, but now several more people were standing there: Li Zheng, Xiao Jun, bringing both Da Xiong and Xiao Xiong inside. Lin He entered with Qing Zhu, who, seeing how much Chen'er enjoyed holding the babies, laughed outspokenly, saying, "Miss Chen'er, you love children so much. Hurry up and marry Young Master Li Zheng! By this time next year, perhaps your belly will be growing too."

Everyone present—siblings and close relations—paid no mind to propriety. They all burst into laughter at Qing Zhu's words. Chen'er flushed scarlet with embarrassment and stood up, threatening to hit Qing Zhu. Li Zheng, however, was magnanimous, laughing, "Yes, I want to marry soon too."

Lin He shook her head and smiled at the scene. Chen'er would come of age next year; looking at Li Zheng, it seemed Chen'er wouldn't stay in her maternal home much longer. But thankfully, the arrangements for Zi Qing and Da Bao were settled. By the time Chen'er married next year, Zi Qing should have a child, and her mother wouldn't be lonely then. Marrying off early was fine.

Lin He then smiled suggestively at Da Yuan standing nearby and Xiao Jun positioned further away. She had initially intended to play matchmaker for them, but recent events had caused her to set the matter aside. So, Lin He casually created an excuse, asking Xiao Jun to fetch some items from the pastry shop for her, and then sent Da Yuan along as well. Upon hearing this, Xiao Jun glanced at Lin He with mild surprise. Seeing the look in Lin He's eyes, she awkwardly scratched her head, called out to Da Yuan, and left. Da Yuan blushed slightly when she saw Lin He signaling for her to go with Xiao Jun alone, but she followed nonetheless.

Not long after, the two little buns began to cry. Qing Zhu declared they must be hungry. Lin He asked Chen'er to carry them to the inner room while she went in to nurse them.

Chen'er watched her two little nephews suckle vigorously and chuckled. After laughing for a while, she spoke with a hint of wistfulness, "Big Sister, today is so joyous; our whole family is gathered. Only Little Bao isn't here. If only Little Bao could return, our family hasn't been this happy in ages..."

Before Chen'er finished speaking, a shout came from outside: "Big Sister, Second Sister, come out quickly! I'm back to see my little nephews!"

It was Little Bao's voice. Chen'er instantly jumped up and rushed out, followed by the sound of Little Bao and Chen'er laughing and chatting. Lin He followed suit with a smile.

After a busy day, quiet finally settled deep into the night. The two little buns were asleep. Lin He was sorting through the gifts the relatives had brought for them on the small couch, while Wen Ningxuan lay half-reclined beside her, waiting. He had expected her to finish quickly, but after waiting nearly half an hour, the table before Lin He was still a chaotic mess. Wen Ningxuan abruptly sat up, sweeping the items off the table to one side, and gazed intently at Lin He: "Wife, the night is very late. It is time to sleep."

Having said this, Lin He felt a light nibble on her earlobe. A wave of pleasant numbness spread through her. She certainly knew what this rogue intended, but she deliberately feigned ignorance, lightly pushing Wen Ningxuan away with a slight pout: "Husband, what are you doing? I haven't finished putting things away."

Wen Ningxuan looked at Lin He's earnest expression and smiled, "What's the rush in putting things away? I have something far more pressing waiting for you to do."

With that, he scooped Lin He into his arms and carried her toward the bed... (Epilogue End)RS
