The Ten Great Domain Ancestors are the true titans among the Domain Ancestors, the highest echelon of existence across the Star Sea.
A Domain Ancestor can refine a Domain Realm, evolve a Domain Realm, and condense entirely new races; this represents the ultimate manifestation of martial profound truths, the zenith of the Void Sea of Nothingness, and the highest attainment reachable by all races and myriad living beings.
Hantian, one of the Ten Great Domain Ancestors, is the pride of the Xuantian Clan, a universally renowned supreme powerhouse throughout the Star Sea and countless Domain Realms—the very backbone and most transcendent entity of the Xuantian Clan.
And yet, he claimed that the obscure figure known as Bloodthirsty possessed the ability to overturn the Void Sea of Nothingness, adding that he himself might fall slightly short of Bloodthirsty.
Ya Yun felt not a single shred of doubt or confusion remaining.
“That Bloodthirsty truly originates from the Barren Domain? How could that Barren Domain forge such a genius?” Ya Yun murmured after a long pause, her expression dazed, her heart filled with immense shock.
“Lord Hantian and that Bloodthirsty only met briefly. He witnessed Bloodthirsty utterly rout the Devourer race clansmen. Strangely, the profound truths of power that Bloodthirsty wielded were extremely similar to those of the Devourer race, as if he had mastered the lost Devouring Profound Truth of the Devourers, along with their Eight Great Evil Powers. It is truly unfathomable,” Tu Shiqi also shook his head in astonishment.
“Legends say the Devourer race was formed when the Primordial Being, Shi, condensed them from their own flesh and blood. However, ‘Shi’ has long since vanished; no one knows if ‘Shi’ still survives. But the true power realm attained by the strongest within the Devourer race today might not necessarily be inferior to their ancestor, Shi. The Devourer race, the most mysterious among the Seven Great Races, even we do not fully grasp their depths. Even the arrogant Soul Race and the volatile, brutal Black Demon Race dare not easily offend the Devourers. How could that Bloodthirsty slaughter the Devourers until they were routed? And how could he know the nearly lost Devouring Profound Truth of the Devourer race?” Ya Yun grew increasingly bewildered.
Tu Shiqi offered a wry smile. “Your questions, I fear, even Lord Hantian cannot answer. The Lord saw Bloodthirsty cause rivers of blood to flow from the Devourers, and seeing such power filled him with fighting spirit, so he moved to challenge Bloodthirsty. The result? Lord Hantian… seemed to take a minor loss. Thus, the Lord deliberately fostered good relations with Bloodthirsty, shared some wine, and then extended an invitation, asking him to visit the Xuantian Clan when he had time.”
“Bloodthirsty agreed, but after that parting, they never met again. That Bloodthirsty… simply vanished from the Void Sea of Nothingness, merely a transient visitor. But Lord Hantian cannot forget him, and his assessment remains extremely high. He instructed us to pay attention to news from the Barren Domain, moved by Bloodthirsty’s might, hoping to forge an alliance.”
“Now I understand why you went to such lengths to curry favor with that kid this trip—it turns out you knew such a terrifying figure had emerged from the Barren Domain!” Ya Yun exclaimed.
“If that kid can become another Bloodthirsty, never mind these bargaining chips; ten times more would be worth it!” Tu Shiqi gritted out.
Ya Yun blinked, then said, “You, sir, are nothing more than a crazed gambler, yet you have always been right.”
“Just watch. This kid will be my greatest gamble yet, and I will win it!” Tu Shiqi roared with laughter.
At that very moment, near the entrance of the stone cave where Shi Yan and his group were located, an earth-shattering explosion resounded.
“Boom!”
The stone cave door instantly shattered into countless fragments, flying everywhere. Balago of the Earth Ghost Race unleashed his profound truth, blasting the stone door apart without giving any face to the Dragon Lizard Race. With a sinister, eerie laugh, he barged in, leading three subordinates.
At the surrounding stone cave entrances, many clansmen from the third-rate races flinched upon hearing the blast, immediately sealing their own caves.
Those who still dared to observe kept their distance from the Tianmu Clan’s cave, watching the scene with faces full of terror.
“The Earth Ghost Race is becoming increasingly arrogant!” a Dragon Lizard clansman growled through clenched teeth.
The other Dragon Lizard clansmen within this cave shared the sentiment, their eyes bloodshot, desperate to charge out and disembowel the Earth Ghost clansmen.
But they knew the Earth Ghost Race were lapdogs of the Soul Race. Killing Earth Ghosts wouldn't be difficult, but the Soul Race… that was not something their Dragon Lizard Race could handle.
Unless, unless their own Dragon Lizard Ancestor could also step into the Domain Ancestor realm, only then would they have something to rely on.
“Friends from the Tianmu Clan, no need to hide. Come out and share a word,” Balago chuckled sinisterly, strolling into the chamber, his demeanor utterly unhurried. His green-faced, tusked visage, combined with his strange laughter, made him appear even more hideous and terrifying.
His voice was exceptionally loud, seemingly intended for outsiders to hear, letting them know the sheer arrogance of the Earth Ghost Race.
“Are these the Earth Ghost Race?” Shi Yan stepped out of the chamber, feigning surprise, his gaze intently fixed on the four Earth Ghost clansmen. “You spoke the truth; you truly are like vengeful spirits. Looking at you is nauseating. One of the ugliest races in the Star Sea, truly living up to the name!”
Audrey stood beside him; she merely glanced at the Earth Ghost clansmen, her pretty face turning icy, showing utter disgust. Her expression perfectly complemented Shi Yan’s sharp words.
Evelyn offered a wry smile, unsure if Shi Yan’s method would work. He cautiously surveyed the surroundings, noting that the four Earth Ghosts had entered without detecting anything unusual. A thought crossed his mind, and he forced himself to speak stiffly, “Gentlemen who break down doors uninvited, what business brings you here?”
Balago ignored Evelyn, his ashen-grey eyes fixed on Shi Yan. “Dog! Who did you call one of the ugliest races in the Star Sea?”
“Isn't it you?” Shi Yan looked bewildered, adopting a strange posture as if the question was obvious. “Everyone knows it. Don’t you know it yourselves?” “Kill him! Kill him for me!” Balago shrieked fiercely.
An Earth Ghost clansman at the first heaven of the Immortal realm behind him immediately charged forward, spitting out a chilling black sphere. The sphere radiated bone-deep coldness and dense Yin energy, plummeting towards Shi Yan’s head.
The chilling black sphere suddenly exploded, transforming into a swamp of frigid mire, intending to envelop Shi Yan’s divine body.
“That woman, that woman must be kept alive! I want to defile this woman so they understand the consequences of offending my Earth Ghost Race! Damned alien, daring to insult our noble Earth Ghost Race—unforgivable sin! I will torture them until death!” Balago screamed maniacally, his voice resounding like muffled thunder throughout the valley.
This location was merely a gathering point for third-rate races, while the Earth Ghost Race was second-rate, moreover, subservient to the Soul Race. In Balago’s mind, no one here dared to interfere with his tyranny.
Not even the Dragon Lizard Race dared!
Audrey’s eyes turned icy as she stared at Balago. “Even the dogs of the Soul Race are this arrogant and overbearing. You truly lack the awareness of a dog; in that case, you shall become a dead dog!”
“Annihilate,”
Shi Yan’s face was impassive. He opened his mouth and spat out a single word, which instantly transformed into blazing flames, engulfing the chilling swamp and incinerating it in a brief moment.
The face of the Earth Ghost clansman at the first heaven of the Immortal realm turned crimson; a mouthful of blood choked in his throat, which he forcibly swallowed down.
“Hmph, the Earth Ghost Race clansmen have been observed. As you claimed, truly disgusting, ugly, and frantic. In that case… there’s no need to talk,” Shi Yan said calmly, suddenly surging with profound truth. In an instant, wondrous spatial fluctuations permeated the chamber.
Immediately, the four figures—Evelyn, Adams, Mahisha, and Audrey—flickered like wisps of shadow, abruptly fading until they vanished from that spot.
“My lord, this—this isn't the stone cave at all. This is a spatial trap; we are in another dimension!”
The Earth Ghost clansman at the first heaven of the Immortal realm who had clashed with Shi Yan changed expression, suddenly sensing grave danger, and shrieked.
He was correct; this was indeed not the original stone cave, but a new space condensed by Shi Yan using a World Illusion Stone!
This space perfectly mimicked the layout of the original chamber; the stone walls, table, and chairs were all (illusorily) condensed using spatial power. Simply put, they were all illusions.
At this moment, Audrey and the other three had returned to the true stone chamber. Inside this chamber, there was a swirling, unpredictable ball of light. Inside that light mass were Shi Yan and the Earth Ghost clansmen. Audrey and the others could see clearly, as if looking through the surface of a lake into the world beneath.
“A lifelike world. His understanding of spatial profound truths has reached such a wondrous height. If we hadn't returned to reality, I would have thought we were still in the true world!” Mahisha sighed in admiration.
Audrey was also inwardly astonished. She suddenly realized that Shi Yan’s understanding of spatial profound truths during the process of cracking the spatial lock must have reached a new level of attainment, otherwise, he could not have used a single World Illusion Stone to make the new world appear indistinguishable from reality, confusing the Earth Ghost clansmen about what was illusory and what was real.
Two others shared their astonishment: Tu Shiqi and Ya Yun.
The martial artists of other third-rate races, due to their low realm, found it difficult to discern what had transpired in the stone cave, but they knew perfectly well.
This was because the World Illusion Stone had been gifted by Ya Yun, and they could clearly sense the faint spatial fluctuations emanating from that cave.
“The Earth Ghost Race is likely in deep trouble. That kid was right: if you are going to be a dog, you must have the awareness of a dog. If you insist on acting like a wolf, your demise is near,” Tu Shiqi chuckled sinisterly. “The kid truly has a way about him—using the World Illusion Stone to craft a cave, sealing the door, and luring the Earth Ghosts to break in actively. Hahaha! Once they enter the world he refined, what waves can the Earth Ghosts possibly stir up?”
“His comprehension and application of spatial profound truths are truly extraordinary. This child’s potential is boundless,” Ya Yun also praised.
As the two spoke, Shi Yan, within that created world, grinned at Balago, “Enjoy the beauty of spatial collapse slowly.”
With that, he also withdrew from it, then reached out in the real stone chamber and pointed toward the spatial world that resembled a ball of light.
“Crack, crack, crack!”
Like the shattering of an eggshell, the light mass fractured, and terrifying spatial collapse fluctuations suddenly surged forth from within.
Audrey and the four—Evelyn, Adams, and Mahisha—could clearly see the Earth Ghost clansmen within that world instantly rupture, their physical bodies exploding as if glass figures dropped on the floor. Their flesh and blood were pulverized into countless fragments along with the collapse of space; their physical forms were utterly destroyed.
Even their Soul Altars shattered, their souls dissolving into wisps, attempting to flee the stone cave.
“Kid, I will not let you go! My Earth Ghost Race will certainly make you pay the most agonizing price! You just wait!” Balago’s soul fragments writhed like snakes, trying to rush out of the stone cave, his consciousness screaming maniacally.
The profound truths cultivated by the Earth Ghost Race were bestowed by the Soul Race, granting them a unique affinity for the mysterious aspects of the soul. Even after their Soul Altars were pulverized, their soul thoughts could still escape—a rather peculiar trait.
