Her expression instantly turned grave, a sharp glint flashing in her bright eyes as she let out a soft cry, “Shi Yan, this isn't good!”
At that moment, the members of the Tianmu clan still hadn't grasped the complexity of the situation. They simply assumed that the meteor plummeting beneath them, heading toward the Water Tribe’s crystal sphere, was intentional—that Shi Yan and Audrey were deliberately closing the distance to converse with the Water Tribe.
“Hm?”
Snapping out of his deep contemplation, Shi Yan started, a look of confusion clouding his features.
Audrey pointed beneath them, then gestured toward the Water Tribe’s crystal palace ahead, her voice laced with bitterness. “We’re about to… hit it!”
At her words, horror flashed in Shi Yan’s eyes, and finally, tension gripped him; his expression became extremely severe.
“Uh, you guys can’t control this meteor, can you?” Mahisha also sensed the shift; her face suddenly went pale. “Are we really going to crash?”
As she spoke, the meteor beneath them showed no sign of slowing, hurtling relentlessly toward the Water Tribe’s crystal sphere.
Those handsome men and beautiful women of the Water Tribe, who had initially been chatting and smiling calmly, hadn't taken the meteor carrying Shi Yan’s group seriously. As the object approached, they watched from a distance. Seeing they were from the Tianmu clan, they even smiled, thinking Evelyn had come for a friendly talk, given their past relations.
By the time they realized the meteor was incredibly close and showed no signs of deceleration, still rushing toward them at immense speed, the expressions of the Water Tribe men and women dissolved into panic, followed by startled screams.
At this instant, the meteor beneath Shi Yan moved too fast, too close. It seemed too late for the Water Tribe members to evade.
“We can’t crash!”
Evelyn shouted, “Though the Water Tribe is gentle in nature, they are not easily provoked. They have always been close with the Dragon Lizard Clan. If we offend them, we might not even be allowed to enter the Dragon Lizard territory!”
Shi Yan’s eyes suddenly burned a blood-red, and a surging wave of energy rippled out from his mind. In an instant, an attractive force emanated from the surrounding meteorites. The nearest few stones seemed to be pulled, abruptly positioning themselves between them and the Water Tribe’s palace.
“Everyone, protect yourselves!” Shi Yan roared.
Evelyn, Audrey, and the others, without hesitation, immediately activated the light shields around their divine bodies, condensing their power to prepare for the destructive shockwave of the impact.
However, what happened next left them utterly dumbfounded—a bizarre and sudden occurrence.
The Three-Legged Giant Cauldron beneath them, which was clearly aimed toward the meteorites, subtly emitted a faint ripple of energy at the critical moment. Immediately afterward, the trajectory of the meteor they were riding twisted strangely, narrowly—by the finest margin—dodging the obstructing stones right before their eyes, maneuvering past them with exquisite precision.
The Tianmu clan members, along with the Water Tribe onlookers, broke out in a cold sweat, their faces still etched with lingering terror.
They understood that even if the meteor—centered around the Three-Legged Jade Cauldron beneath Shi Yan—hadn't struck the Water Tribe's crystal palace, but had instead merely collided with the other meteorites between them, the resulting catastrophic explosion would have caused immense casualties on both sides.
The shockwave from the meteor’s impact was something even Immortal Warriors would struggle to withstand, especially at such close range. Adams and Evelyn’s faces were ashen; they knew that if contact had been made, they likely wouldn't have survived either, being shredded by the explosive fragments.
Thankfully, their greatest fear had not materialized.
The uneasy group gradually approached the Water Tribe’s crystal sphere on the meteor. At that moment, the sphere moved rapidly, much like a young maiden startled by a rogue, urgently darting away from their rock, terrified of even the slightest brush.
They thought Shi Yan and his companions had gone mad.
Simultaneously, a beautiful, effeminate man shot out from within the crystal sphere. His face was icy cold as he hovered above their meteor, demanding an explanation. “Are you people of the Tianmu clan insane? Are you looking for war with our Water Tribe, otherwise why such reckless aggression?”
Evelyn’s face was full of bitterness. He quickly bowed in greeting. “We are terribly sorry. The meteor beneath us suddenly went uncontrollable; otherwise, we wouldn't be this panicked. Look, given our realm and cultivation, if this meteor had truly struck you, we wouldn’t have survived either. We are not insane…”
He and the Water Tribe man were communicating in a new language that Shi Yan and Audrey could not comprehend, leaving them completely bewildered.
“What are they saying?” Audrey asked in the Wild Domain language.
“You only understand the Wild Domain language; it’s difficult to communicate in the Domain Sea this way. If you don’t mind, I can share my language imprints, and you can absorb them through your souls. How about that?” Mahisha smiled. “Rest assured, sharing language knowledge carries no risk. I’ll open it up; you just need to envelop it with your souls.”
“No problem,” Audrey nodded to Shi Yan. “In the profound secrets of our Underworld Emperor Clan, stripping away soul memories isn't considered a great feat. I also know many languages from the remote corners of our homeland using the method she described.”
“Mmm,” Shi Yan looked unconcerned. He knew this was merely a minor trick, nothing astonishing.
Mahisha’s third eye subtly twitched, releasing a magnetic soul field. Soon, a faint, dark light emerged from her eyes. This dark light was a memory imprint containing fluctuations of many different languages. Once integrated into their brain memories, they would instantly grasp the foreign Domain Sea languages.
As their minds shifted, Shi Yan and Audrey each projected their divine senses, wrapping around the two dark clusters containing the Domain Sea languages, drawing them into their own minds, transforming them into a part of their personal memory.
Various languages rooted themselves in their minds like electric currents, becoming an integral part of their souls.
Then, Shi Yan and Audrey understood the conversation between Evelyn and the Water Tribe member. They were using a universal Domain Sea language—simple, ancient, and the easiest to understand and communicate. Most races operating in the Outer Domains utilized this common tongue.
“The language you are speaking, is it from the Wild Domain? You… are you from the Wild Domain?”
Suddenly, the handsome Water Tribe man negotiating with Evelyn showed a flicker of emotion, a look of astonishment. He unexpectedly fixed his gaze on Shi Yan and Audrey, his expression deeply moved.
“That’s right, we are from the Wild Domain. Why are you so surprised?” Audrey replied.
“A fellow from the Wild Domain visited our Water Tribe territory once before and formed a good friendship with us. However, he left later. We heard he was imprisoned by a powerful expert from the Soul Clan. The Soul Clan is too dominant in the Star Sea, and that expert was terrifying. I couldn't dare provoke him, let alone you youngsters.”
This excessively handsome Water Tribe man sighed deeply, a look of dejection crossing his features.
He looked intently at Audrey, studying her for a long time before suddenly exclaiming in surprise, “That person, he… he must be from the same race as you, originating from the Wild Domain.”
“Oh?” Audrey’s beautiful eyes brightened. “Do you know his name?”
“Ming Hong! His name was Ming Hong!” the man stated definitively.
Audrey’s body trembled, her bright eyes shining with an expression of disbelief. “It’s… it’s actually him. He’s been here all along…”
“Who is he?” Shi Yan asked, surprised.
“Remember I told you about the records in my Underworld Emperor Clan’s ancient texts, mentioning an ancestor who traveled the Domain Sea and encountered members of an alien race, but couldn't communicate due to language barriers?” Audrey asked.
Shi Yan nodded.
“That text was written by him. By my mother’s reckoning, before the Bloodthirsty emerged ten thousand years ago, our Star Domain was the age of the Underworld Emperor Clan. It was the sudden rise of the Bloodthirsty that caused our clan’s decline.”
“During that era, many of our Underworld Emperor Clan experts perished, and some simply vanished. Ancestor Ming Hong, knowing he was no match for the Bloodthirsty, reportedly fled into the Void Domain Sea to cultivate intensely, striving to reverse our clan’s losing fortunes. Sadly… he never returned. We all assumed he had perished long ago. He was the one most deeply knowledgeable about the Void Domain Sea. That record was written during his time operating there.”
“Ancestor Ming Hong was actually the first teacher of my maternal uncle, Ming Hao. According to my mother, even the name Ming Hao was given by him. He and my grandfather were seemingly cousins. Back in our Underworld Emperor Clan, he was an extraordinarily distinguished figure.”
Audrey explained slowly, her expression hardening toward the end. “If there is a possibility, if we can find Ancestor Ming Hong, we might finally know the way back!”
Shi Yan’s eyes lit up.
According to her account, Ming Hong was a pioneer who entered the Void Domain Sea from the Wild Domain. He had traversed the Void Domain Sea multiple times and managed to retreat largely intact each time. Naturally, he would know how to enter and, crucially, how to return safely to the Wild Domain. If they could find him, they could indeed establish their bearings.
“I advise you not to even think about it,” the Water Tribe member frowned. “He was imprisoned by a Soul Clan expert and turned into one of that expert’s Nine Fierce Souls. The Soul Clan is too powerful across the Star Sea, and that expert is terrifying—I wouldn’t dare provoke him, let alone you little ones.”
After a pause, he snorted. “Seeing as you come from the same Domain as him, I’ll overlook your recklessness this once. My advice is to forget what I said and do not provoke that Soul Clan fellow. I hear he is coming here this time as well. He has ties with the Dragon Lizards; you best keep a wide berth.”
Having said this, he ceased interacting with Shi Yan’s group, turning his face cold, and returned to the crystal palace to instruct his clansmen to resume their course.
“The Soul Clan—what kind of race is that? Are they very powerful?” Shi Yan asked the members of the Tianmu clan.
The three nodded gravely, their movements synchronized. Evelyn answered, “There are hundreds, even thousands of races in the Star Sea, but their strengths vary greatly. The Soul Clan is recognized as one of the seven strongest races in the Star Sea. Compared to them, our Tianmu Clan is merely a third-rate minor race.”
“How do they compare to the Dragon Lizard Clan?” Shi Yan pressed.
“The ancestor of the Dragon Lizard Clan, Xi Zao, has returned to the ruins. The current second generation of Dragon Lizards has not yet broken through to become Domain Ancestors, so the Dragon Lizard Clan can only be considered second-rate. But the Soul Clan—a race that appeared alongside our Tianmu Clan after the Primordial Era—possesses true Domain Ancestor level experts, individuals who have grasped the true essence of dark energy. The foundation of the Soul Clan is beyond what ordinary people can measure,” Evelyn said with reverence.
