Lin He was genuinely delighted to see Wen Ningxuan return so early today. She looked up with a smile, "Husband, you're back so early today. Have you finished everything at the shop?" As she spoke, she reached out both hands to draw him down to sit beside her.

Wen Ningxuan let himself be led, taking her hand as he sat on the chair. "Silly girl, how could the shop's business be finished in a single day? I was worried you wouldn't be accustomed to being here alone. Coincidentally, there wasn't much to do at the shop today, so I came back early to keep you company."

Hearing this, Lin He felt a small surge of emotion before smiling again. "Heh, do I look unaccustomed? Besides, I'm hardly alone. Those two little maids, Ziqing and Ziyu, along with Qingyun, are with me every day. You don't need to worry about me. If the shop is busy, you should focus on your own affairs."

"You little woman, how can you be so heartless? A wife wishes her husband would stay with her every day, yet you seem eager to push me away constantly. Truly a cruel woman," Wen Ningxuan teased, pinching her soft, delicate cheek as he spoke.

"Oh? Husband, you like that kind of wife? Then you should just marry one like that," Lin He replied, hooking her arm around his, her face alight with mischievous amusement.

"Hmm?" Wen Ningxuan raised an eyebrow, looking at Lin He.

Seeing that look, Lin He quickly dropped her mischievous expression and offered a pleasing smile. "Mmm, those maids are nowhere near as good as my husband. If you wish, I'll follow you around every day from now on. You go check the account books at the shop, and I'll be your maid, fetching tea and water. In short, I won't leave your side for a moment, alright?"

Seeing Lin He's almost fawning demeanor, Wen Ningxuan curled his lips and laughed softly, pulling the woman beside him into his embrace. He gently swayed in the hanging chair. After a moment, the gentle rocking made him feel drowsy. Only then did he have to admit that the little woman truly knew how to enjoy herself; this seemingly unremarkable chair was supremely comfortable.

Noticing the little woman beside him also beginning to look sleepy, Wen Ningxuan held her closer and murmured, "He'er, don't you get bored being home alone every day? If you feel restless, take the maids out for a walk in the streets. This is your own home; there aren't so many rules to abide by."

A moment later, as if suddenly remembering something, she lifted her head toward Wen Ningxuan. "Tomorrow, I need to go back to my parents' house for a visit. It's been nearly one or two months since I last went. I want to see Mother and Father, and Chen'er and the others."

Wen Ningxuan had seen her suddenly lift her head and thought something important had come up. Hearing it was only this, he gently flicked her nose, smiling. "Didn't I tell you? You are the master here. Do you need to ask my permission to visit your parents? Do you want me to go with you?"

"No need. I had planned to go in a few days, but I haven't been back this whole time, and we moved here several days ago without getting a chance to notify them. I worry they might need us and can't find us," Lin He said with a touch of worry.

"Mmm, then let's go together tomorrow morning. If your mother and the others are free at home, let's invite them over to stay for a few days. We moved in here in such a rush, we never even held a housewarming banquet. We can hold one when they arrive," Wen Ningxuan said with a smile.

Lin He thought that made sense. The courtyard was large enough; that girl Chen'er would certainly love it, and those little ones hadn't seen her in so long, they must miss her too. Inviting them over for a few days to liven things up would be nice. With that thought, she happily nodded, agreeing to visit her parents' home tomorrow morning.

The next morning, after finishing breakfast, the two of them took the maids Ziqing and Ziyu to the maternal home. Wen Ningxuan had intended to take a carriage, but Lin He insisted on walking to familiarize herself with the route. Thus, the entire group walked over. Although the distance hadn't seemed far when they were in the carriage that other day, the walk still took a considerable amount of time to arrive.

As they reached the entrance of Lin He's family home, they happened to run into Xiao Bao, who was heading to school with his bookbag. Xiao Bao was very happy to see Lin He arrive. He first respectfully called out, "Brother-in-law," to Wen Ningxuan, then suddenly clung to Lin He's arm like a small child, saying, "Big Sister, why haven't you come back for so long? Mother has been mentioning you for quite some time."

Lin He smiled and patted his head. "Isn't Big Sister back to see you all now? You’re up so early for school. Are Mother and Second Sister awake yet?"

"Mmm, they got up early. Mother is making breakfast in the kitchen. I'll take you inside," Xiao Bao said, pulling on Lin He's arm as he walked toward the inner rooms.

As they walked, Xiao Bao grumbled, "Big Sister, why did you come at this time? Look, I have to go to school now. I have so many things to tell you, but there's no time."

Lin He patted his head, listening to his childish words, and smiled. "There is time. Big Sister will wait for you to come back from school this afternoon, and I'll take you to stay at my place for a while, alright?"

"Really?" Xiao Bao's eyes immediately lit up with delight upon hearing this. However, after a moment, he asked in a small, uncertain voice, "Big Sister, will it be inconvenient for us to stay at your house?"

"Not at all. We aren't staying at the Wen residence these days; we're staying in a manor not far from here. I'm at the shop during the day, so your sister is home alone. I wanted you all to go keep your sister company for a while. Is Little Bao willing?" Before Lin He could answer, Wen Ningxuan spoke up.

Hearing Wen Ningxuan, Xiao Bao quickly nodded. "Willing, willing! Brother-in-law, Second Sister and I have wanted to visit Big Sister for a long time, but Mother won't let us go, saying she’s afraid we don't know the rules."

As soon as Xiao Bao finished speaking, they saw Huang Shi and Chen'er approaching with the two younger ones. Huang Shi’s face was filled with smiles upon seeing her daughter and son-in-law. "Ningxuan, He'er."

The two little ones immediately ran over and hugged Lin He's legs, shouting "Big Sister" loudly.

Lin He took one small hand in hers and, together with Wen Ningxuan, walked smilingly toward Huang Shi. After greeting Huang Shi, Lin He asked, "Mother, has Father gone home again?"

"Yes, you know your father; he can never stay put. After a few days here, he always has to go home to check things. He left a few days ago; I figure he’ll be back in the next day or two," Huang Shi complained with a light scolding. After speaking, she added, "Eldest Young Master, hurry off to school. Chen'er, go tell your eldest brother that Brother-in-law and Big Sister are here."

Hearing this, Lin He quickly urged the two younger ones to go to school. The two refused, saying Big Sister promised to wait for them after school. Lin He had no choice but to repeatedly assure them that she would definitely still be there when they returned from school.

After watching the servants lead the two little ones away, Lin He asked, "Has Eldest Brother not arrived yet? Don't call him then. Ningxuan still needs to go to the shop, so he'll just come in to see you all. The servants are still waiting outside, so he can come back in the evening."
