Regarding Fang Senyan's statement, Black Sail paused for a moment: "I can only say that is a plausible and bold speculation, sir." Fang Senyan looked at Black Sail, pondering for a while: "But you still haven't told me the most crucial part—the name and purpose of this fruit." Black Sail displayed an expression of awkwardness: "I have told you everything I know. I am just a pirate, after all, sir. Oh yes, it is a very rare seed, and it should fetch a good price in Tortuga." Fang Senyan smiled: "But I sense your knowledge is quite profound. Very much like an alchemist." Black Sail's expression grew even more awkward: "In fact, I was merely a servant before... a very humble one. I was fortunate enough to live under the protection of Lord Little Fox in Port Royal for five years. During that time, I managed to overhear some knowledge from a great alchemist, and more fortunately, I seem to have retained it. That is the origin of the abilities you see. However, with the decay of Port Royal, that alchemist also seemed to have passed away, and I had no choice but to become a pirate to survive." Fang Senyan leaned in with interest: "The name of that great alchemist was?" "Master Bacon—may his soul rest in peace," Black Sail replied respectfully. Fang Senyan wondered aloud: "How could he have died? Even pirates would likely hesitate to offend his authority." Black Sail shrugged: "Before it happened, the Master was summoned to the castle by the Lord. When he left, he took almost all his treasures, as it was said he was going to perform a ritual concerning the soul. I still remember he instructed me to prepare dinner before leaving—a medium-rare rack of lamb with black pepper—or he would reward me with a whip. Sadly, the final outcome was that I prepared the delicious dinner ahead of schedule, but the Master never returned." Afterward, Fang Senyan continued to converse with Black Sail for a while, roughly grasping the situation of the now completely desolate Port Royal, and then he dismissed him. Without Fang Senyan needing to give the order, all the pirates automatically took their positions once the ship sailed out of the Sargasso Sea region. The Sam hoisted its sails and tore through the sea foam at extreme speed, riding the wind and waves away!

When people saw the white-foamed waves churning heavily before crashing against the thick, dark grey rocks of the shore, it signaled that Tortuga was within immediate reach. Compared to the former Port Royal under Lord Little Fox, this place presented an even more uniquely advantageous position. Viewed from high above, the island took the shape of a near-perfect character 'T'. There was only one inlet, less than two hundred meters wide, leading into a circular bay protected by towering, colossal black rock mountains, capable of accommodating ships smaller than a seven-masted vessel. Even more astonishingly, directly before that single bay entrance shaped like the horizontal bar of the 'T', a massive, triangular black reef stood sentinel. This meant that even when a hurricane struck, the furious, roaring waves outside could barely disturb the peace and tranquility within the bay.

Compared to the previous era when Lord Little Fox monopolized Port Royal, this nascent neutral port seemed to be supported by several factions. As Fang Senyan and his crew sighted that iconic triangular black reef, they could already hear the distant sound of "pa-pa" emanating from the brightly lit port. One former Royal Navy sailor wondered aloud: "Are they setting off fireworks to welcome us?" Old Seadog happened to overhear the remark and grinned, showing his yellowed teeth: "No, they are having a gunfight. Tortuga is a city steeped in chaos, wealth, and freedom." Almost all the former Royal Navy sailors shrugged, indicating they found this concept difficult to comprehend.

Since Fang Senyan's vessel was a standard British Navy warship, it was met with a fierce barrage of cannon fire as a 'baptism' upon approaching the narrow bay entrance. Fortunately, a seasoned pirate who had been there before quickly took a lifeboat out to negotiate. Once those men clearly saw the pirate flag hoisted above the ship, they sent others up to inspect, and the vessel was smoothly allowed passage—though only after paying the required port entry tariff. Furthermore, they registered the intentions of Fang Senyan's group—what they intended to trade, what they wished to purchase, and so forth. In short, while the "customs" procedures in this port were simple, they were certainly not slipshod.

Once the Sam was safely moored at the shore, Fang Senyan checked the time; there were still three hours until dawn, meaning they had a considerable amount of time budgeted for their activities. To avoid unforeseen complications, Fang Senyan ordered all the pirates to remain aboard the ship. Only the three of them, plus Camby, would disembark. Camby had been here once before and knew the various locations in Tortuga relatively well, and his combat prowess was not to be underestimated at this point. Should anything occur in their absence, Philip and Old Seadog were instructed to negotiate a resolution, with the crew only allowed free activity once the landing party returned. Although Fang Senyan's decision might seem somewhat unreasonable, his authority had already taken deep root, so the pirates could only obey respectfully. As the feet of Fang Senyan's trio touched the soil of Tortuga, they instantly received the notification from the Nightmare Mark: "You have stepped onto the land of the Pirate Haven: Tortuga." "Main Quest: Setting Sail completed." "You will receive a reward of 1500 Universal Points." "Your Merit Value +1." "Hint: You arrived at Tortuga Port before 8:00 AM." "You have successfully activated the condition for the Hidden Main Quest." "Do you wish to activate the Hidden Main Quest? (Warning: Selecting this option will increase the difficulty of your subsequent adventures and you will no longer be eligible for normal follow-up main quests.)"

Fang Senyan's three companions exchanged glances. After a brief internal discussion, feeling that there shouldn't be any significant issue, they selected the hidden quest. As for Reef, he waited until Fang Senyan's group had received their quest rewards and confirmed that the rewards for this instance were not particularly generous. Thus, he chose not to awaken as a Colonizer yet, opting instead to continue suppressing the quest difficulty by receiving further assignments. However, due to the spatial weakening, Reef only received a reward of 300 Universal Points for this Main Quest; fortunately, the single Merit Point was not diminished.

Immediately following this, a series of rapid notifications were issued: "You have activated the Hidden Main Quest: The Turning Point." "In the present-day Tortuga, there are dragons lying low and tigers hidden. Many seemingly down-on-their-luck characters actually conceal numerous secrets. You can gather many valuable leads from the bartender at the Gray Pigeon Inn located in the port."

At this point, Fang Senyan's trio directed Camby, who was leading the way, to the location, urging him to hurry them there against the clock. Along the way, they observed that the population of Tortuga was vast and incredibly chaotic. It lacked the tight order imposed by the former rule of Lord Little Fox in Port Royal, but instead possessed a crude, vulgar, vigorous vitality unique to pirates. The four walked for a short while on the streets of Tortuga. The haphazardly constructed buildings resembled mole warrens. Dirty, disorderly people roamed the streets, and people were being beaten up frequently. Prostitutes fanned their cheap, long skirts, luring customers with low-grade cosmetics; their makeup was as appalling as that of a clown now, with overly rouged lips or excessively white powder. The entire city seemed veiled in a thick layer of dust.

Suddenly, Black Bro extended a hand backward and seized a hand reaching into his pocket. The owner was a ragged tramp whose anchor tattoo on his chest identified him as an unemployed pirate. The caught tramp showed no shame or remorse for his attempted thievery; instead, he brandished a dagger with his free hand, lunging at Morgana. It was clear that since the theft had failed, he intended to resort to robbery. Since that was the case, Black Bro was entirely unforgiving. He twisted the man's arm clockwise with force until the bone in the fellow's arm made a crisp "crack," only then releasing him amidst the wretch's piercing screams. Just as the thief/robber, now sweating profusely from the pain, looked up with eyes full of resentment, Black Bro drew his Wasp pistol and cleanly shot him in the head, using bloodshed and cruelty to assert that he was not someone to be trifled with. Unquestionably, this act deterred at least seven or eight other individuals who might have been looking to cause trouble. Evidently, in this chaotic port, merchants lacking the ability to protect themselves could not survive. As long as one did not bother the shops, everything seemed permissible. Perhaps it was this high degree of freedom that made the pirates feel comfortable; looking at it this way, Tortuga's grotesque prosperity was certainly not without reason.

The Gray Pigeon Inn was not difficult to find. Inside, there were only wooden tables placed against the walls. These tables looked very crudely made, but they all shared the common feature of being sturdy, solid, and immovable. Fang Senyan even noticed that the drinking cups were made of wood. The lighting inside the bar was dim, with the candles in the holders appearing ready to extinguish at any second. Upon entering, the nose, which had been cleansed by the sea breeze outside, was immediately assaulted by a mixture of foot odor, stale liquor, and sweat. The temperature inside the bar was likely five or six degrees higher than outside. The place was teeming with noise; some people were crying, some were laughing, and drunkards were brawling with strangers, the rhythmic sounds of fists meeting flesh echoing incessantly.
