Kan Bi looked up in astonishment, his lips moving silently for a moment, but his gaze swiftly transformed into grim determination and ferocity: “Good! Boss, I’ll go now!”

Less than two minutes later, Kan Bi, drenched in blood, returned menacingly, carrying Kith’s head. Relationships among pirates were notoriously chaotic; skirmishes were common, and betraying or marooning the captain happened from time to time (dear Jack Sparrow frowns sadly—shall we not speak of that...).

However, Siwal was a man known for being fiercely protective of his own and possessed rigid principles. Internal conflict among his crew was absolutely forbidden; if it occurred, both parties would face death! By executing this deed, Kan Bi demonstrated his absolute loyalty to Senyan, completely severing any chance of returning to Siwal’s pirate band.

Witnessing this, Fang Senyan rose, gesturing for Kan Bi to kneel before him. He drew his blade and laid it across Kan Bi’s shoulder: “As a reward for your loyalty, I, Sailor Yan from the East, strip the power of Blood Anchor and bestow it upon you. I hope you will utilize this strength to serve me better! Yet, this power carries significant risk; if it exceeds your body’s limits, it will turn to harm you. Are you certain you accept?”

Hearing Fang Senyan’s words, Kan Bi looked up in surprise: “Boss, the power of Blood Anchor is said to have been passed down after he committed adultery with an evil witch, his own father! It’s supposed to be steeped deep within his bloodline. How—how can you possibly strip him of that power?”

Fang Senyan replied coolly, “That is my affair. What you need to consider is simply this: accept or refuse?”

Kan Bi responded sternly, “As long as I possess great strength, I am willing to pay any price!”

Upon hearing Kan Bi’s declaration, many sailors and pirates exchanged looks of mingled doubt and suspicion, some even whispering amongst themselves. Old Barbus, the former captain now tightly bound below, showed only scorn, despising Kan Bi’s foolishness. “This idiot, playing these sentimental games among such cruel and greedy cutthroats—it’s suicide! All pirates are motivated by tangible rewards; who trusts pretty words? Anyone can spout flowery nonsense, but pirates are the least susceptible to it.”

Fang Senyan paid no mind to the others. He handed the Ogre-hide gauntlets to Kan Bi and instructed him to wear them. Clearly, Kan Bi could not see the gloves’ attributes or description, but under Fang Senyan’s severe gaze, he slipped on the seemingly ordinary pair of gloves, bowed his head in thanks, though the gratitude seemed superficial at best.

At the same time, the whispers among the other pirates grew louder, sweeping through their midst like a gust of noisy wind. A palpable sense of instability rippled through the crew’s morale. Kan Bi sensed the shift, his face twisting uncomfortably as he looked toward Fang Senyan, appearing helplessly flustered.

Yet, all these reactions were precisely what Fang Senyan had anticipated. He suddenly softened his tone toward Kan Bi: “Blood Anchor is dead, but his cumbersome great anchor is blocking the way, making passage extremely inconvenient for everyone. I notice many have to walk around it while clearing the battlefield. Move that great anchor here before me. Remember, you alone must accomplish this exceedingly simple task.”

Blood Anchor’s original power was thirty-three, and with the gloves, the limit was sixty-six Strength. However, Kan Bi’s Strength, even without the gloves, was already thirty-five. Moving the great anchor should have been effortlessly simple for him.

But upon hearing the command, Kan Bi himself was startled. Deep down, he hadn't truly believed Fang Senyan possessed such miraculous ability, assuming the prior act was merely symbolic ritual. Hesitantly, he addressed Fang Senyan: “Boss... I was just wounded by a blade; my injuries haven’t healed. Normally, it takes six men to help carry that great anchor...”

Truthfully, Kan Bi was rather quick-witted; this statement gave Fang Senyan an honorable exit while preserving his own dignity—he couldn't move it because he was injured. Furthermore, the latter part of the sentence subtly underscored the difficulty: "it takes six men to help carry it." Little did he know, Fang Senyan’s expression immediately darkened upon hearing this. “I say you can do it, and you will do it! Even if both your hands and feet were severed, if I tell you that you can, you must believe and proceed, and witness the miracle unfold!”

Fang Senyan roared these words out, almost in a shout, and every soul on deck heard them clearly. In that instant, all discussion and doubt were temporarily eclipsed by sheer curiosity. Every eye fixed upon Kan Bi!

Old Barbus’s face registered disbelief. His lips moved several times, as if to speak, but he ultimately remained silent, his eyes locked fiercely onto Kan Bi.

After Fang Senyan uttered those words, Kan Bi realized that today, he would have to try moving that anchor, even if he had to chew through the chains. Under these circumstances, that long-hidden thought surfaced in his mind... Could the Boss not be putting on a show? Is every single word he speaks... true?

Silence descended. Everyone, imbued with a sense of awe, began making way for Kan Bi, as if he were suddenly shrouded in some indescribable mystery and reverence. Kan Bi nervously approached the great anchor, took a deep breath, cinched his belt, and hooked one arm around the chain, mimicking how Blood Anchor had hoisted it onto his shoulder.

His initial intention was merely to test his strength, gauge the terrifying weight of the anchor, and then decide how to proceed with the task.

But unexpectedly, the moment he exerted effort, Kan Bi felt an indescribable surge of power radiating from the gauntlets, flooding his limbs and torso, instantly shattering his prior limits of strength!

That power, that sheer madness, instantly possessed his body!

“Aaaarrrggghhh!!”

Kan Bi, utterly unprepared for this sudden influx of unexpected strength, erupted in an uncontrollable cry of ecstatic joy. What began as a tentative test resulted in that insane, mighty power pouring through his entire being from his right hand!

He instantly hoisted the terrifying great anchor onto his shoulder and wrenched it upward with brute force! Even more terrifying, he managed this feat using only his right hand, hooking the chain and dragging the anchor behind him—something even Blood Anchor himself could not accomplish!

“Boom, boom, boom!!!!” The heavy, rhythmic thuds echoed as Kan Bi took steps toward Fang Senyan, shaking the very timbers of the ship. Every sailor, pirate, and captive gaped, their eyes wide with a stunned, reverent gaze.

They knew with certainty that they would never forget this moment in their lives, and they would pass the story down to their descendants to be told forever!

“The Boss truly can strip power from others! The Boss truly can bestow power upon others!!”

The pirates who had been whispering doubts earlier now recoiled in terror, their bodies trembling violently. Old Barbus was utterly stunned, muttering “Oh, God” repeatedly, appearing as if afflicted by senility.

Kan Bi advanced toward Fang Senyan, his expression numb and dazed, clearly enveloped by an overwhelming sense of achievement and elation. He slammed the great anchor down before Fang Senyan, the impact cracking the deck planks.

Setting the anchor down, Kan Bi immediately prostrated himself before Fang Senyan, touching his forehead to the ground in utter submission and awe: “Guilty! I, I doubted... no, I mean, I doubted that Master could be deceiving me... I deserve death! How could an adult of such immense power possibly deceive a humble servant like myself!!”

Kan Bi’s incoherent babbling betrayed the indescribable excitement churning within him—the panic of wielding such immense power, the joy, and even the fear of losing it!

Fang Senyan noted that Kan Bi showed no signs of injury, guessing the latter hadn't exerted his full strength; moving the anchor probably only required forty or fifty points of power. Ignoring the apology, Fang Senyan stood up, sweeping his severe gaze across the assembly. Wherever his eyes fell, no one dared meet them. Some pirates, trembling with fear, immediately knelt down, mimicking Kan Bi’s posture.

Evidently satisfied with the effect of his preceding actions, Fang Senyan looked down at Kan Bi coolly: “Questioning me is indeed a transgression. Remember this: I can grant you power, and I can take it away. Blood Anchor himself died by my hand! Today, considering it your first offense, you will kneel here for one hour. If you continue to show humility, loyalty, and devotion to me, even greater and more marvelous powers will be bestowed upon you!”

Countless naked gazes, filled with envy and resentment, immediately fixed upon Kan Bi. Strictly speaking, kneeling publicly on the deck for an entire hour was deeply humiliating, yet Kan Bi trembled with surprise as he lowered his head, stammering, “Yes! Master!”

The other pirates let out a string of regretful gasps. Some even fantasized that Fang Senyan might strip Kan Bi of his newfound strength and grant it to them—though such a notion now seemed utterly absurd.
