Octagonal Phoenix Bone Stones filled the crystalline seams, where silken threads moved nimbly, binding the crystals together. A cold, bone-chilling, pale white flame danced, yet where the fire scorched, the crystals seemed to freeze, fusing into a single mass.
Shi Yan’s ten fingers were like sharpened blades, skillfully slicing through the void, engraving intricate, marvelous runes upon the surface.
Before long, a wondrous pattern resembling a miniature night sky gradually took shape upon the crystal, magnificent and magical.
Whoosh!
Thousands of brilliant star rays flashed and vanished, pouring into the profound formation of Void Mysteries. Clusters of golden and orange flames flickered like serpentine tongues, enveloping dozens of rare materials, refining the impurities until they became transparent and pure, transforming into small, wafer-like components that were precisely laid against the fissures of the engraved pattern.
This was a forbidden area near the Blood Pool.
Gute, Blood Fiend, and Bass stood guard nearby. Far off, Fu Wei’s bright eyes flickered with a strange light, a look of astonishment dawning on her face.
“Dubo, you also cultivate the Mysteries of Space. If I gave you the same amount of materials… could you forge a grand formation capable of spanning the Outer Domain?”
She suddenly turned her head to look at Zha Duo of the Artifact Pavilion, a master who also cultivated Space Mysteries and had reached the third level of the Virtual God Realm.
Zha Duo was an artifact refiner for the Artifact Pavilion; the Phantom Void Ring and numerous short-range spatial teleportation arrays were his creations. He was the most renowned Spatial Artifact Master in the Mayar Star Field, deeply respected by all.
Back when Fu Wei first met Shi Yan and discovered his cultivation of Space Mysteries, she had intended to recruit him into the Artifact Pavilion to serve as Zha Duo’s assistant, helping him refine minor components.
Feng Han, Lin Xin, Qi Ze, Feng Yan, and the others, upon hearing this, couldn't help but glance at Zha Duo, their expressions oddly complex.
Zha Duo could only offer a bitter smile, shaking his head with a sigh. “I cannot construct such a vast formation.”
“Why?” Fu Wei murmured softly.
“First, I lack his exquisite Celestial Fire; it would be difficult to perfectly fuse so many materials so rapidly, and equally hard to engrave the rune patterns deep within the formation structure. Second, my divine power is not as pure and robust as his; I couldn't sustain it long enough, and it would fail halfway. Third, my comprehension of the Space Mysteries falls short of his…”
Zha Duo’s face was etched with bitterness, a sense of melancholic displacement settling over him.
How long had it been?
The youth he hadn't even bothered to look at back then had not only become the most dazzling powerhouse of the new generation but had now surpassed him in the mastery of Space Mysteries. Zha Duo genuinely struggled to accept it.
Fu Wei, Lin Xin, and Feng Han spared him a quick glance before looking away, sighing deeply.
Shi Yan’s terrifying speed of growth and his immense strength were a massive pressure point for every one of them. Three hours later.
Streams of scarlet flame engulfed the mysterious formation, which spanned ten acres, like a crimson ocean emitting searing heat. Suddenly, the scorching flames transformed into an intensely frigid vapor.
Hiss, hiss, hiss!
Thick plumes of cold mist spread rapidly. As the mist dissipated, an exquisitely beautiful, strange formation manifested, resembling a plaza carved from pure crystal.
This spatial teleportation array was constructed from hundreds of square, triangular, and rhomboid Void Crystals. At first glance, the ground seemed paved with irregularly shattered fragments that flashed with dazzling, peculiar light. Between these fragmented Void Crystals were interlaced many marvelous jade and emerald objects, all connected by a complex, intricate runic array, forming a seamless whole.
The entire spatial teleportation array possessed the breathtaking beauty of a priceless work of art, making one hesitant to even touch it.
Shi Yan stood at the center of the array, his divine sense stirring.
Swish, swish, swish!
Threads of starlight crisscrossed and wove together instantly above the strange array, forming a magnificent net of stars, ethereal, vast, and mysterious like a beautiful dreamscape.
“So beautiful!”
“Truly gorgeous!”
“Spectacular!”
Fu Wei, Lin Xin, and Feng Han gasped, their eyes alight with wonder, utterly captivated.
Shi Yan himself paused for a moment, gazing at the dreamlike, magnificent star-net, feeling as if he were submerged in an ocean of the cosmos, swimming through the Milky Way, his spirit utterly soothed.
It was only today that he truly understood the marvelous nature of the secondary soul fused with the Continent of Divine Grace—there was virtually no distance between the main soul and the secondary soul.
Though he was on Demon Blood Star in the Mayar Star Field, he could easily draw forth the Celestial Fire, bypassing layer upon layer of spatial barriers. This had astonished him greatly at the time; the main soul and the secondary soul seemed connected instantaneously, even separated by countless star fields.
It was an indescribable wonder.
In the center of the star-net, a single point of light flickered intermittently, like a dazzling star, seeming almost alive.
Shi Yan rose, nodded to Fu Wei and the others. “It should be operational. Have you spread the word?”
Fu Wei, Feng Han, and Lin Xin nodded repeatedly.
Shi Yan gave a faint smile. “I’ll test it now. You all keep watch here.”
With that, he channeled spatial energy to activate the brilliant star at the heart of the star-net. A gleaming tunnel of light abruptly began to split open precisely in the center of the strange array.
He vanished in a flash.
Mist-Veiled Star Domain, Cloud Water Star.
Shi Yan suddenly materialized within a dimly lit stone chamber. He frowned, observing his surroundings, and noted that the chamber contained only a small spatial teleportation array, similar to the one Shang Chen commonly used on the Dead Star.
Every spatial teleportation array required a precise spatial coordinate to function; Shi Yan only knew the coordinates of the array beneath the Dead Star, which he presumed led to the Mist-Veiled Star Domain, likely Shang Chen’s most frequent destination.
Now, it seemed his guess was correct.
He walked through a stone path leading upward from the chamber. Before long, he heard a startled shout, and then he saw Shang Qiu…
“My name is Shi Yan. I come from the Mayar Star Field. I have matters to discuss with the master of this place,” Shi Yan stated simply and directly.
Shang Qiu froze, looking him over deeply. “Follow me.”
Five minutes later.
Shang Qiu led Shi Yan to the ice chamber where Shang Yingyue had previously cultivated. Anliya and Sosia, mother and daughter, were both present, their expressions grave as they focused on him, their gazes carrying a distinct scrutiny.
“How did you get here? Weren't Shang Chen and Yue'er supposed to be in the Mayar Star Field? Didn’t you meet them?” Anliya asked after studying him for a moment.
Shi Yan’s initial impression on her was not good… Having just completed the forging of the spatial teleportation array, his clothes were slightly soiled, his face not entirely clean, and he appeared somewhat fatigued.
“They went to the Mayar Star Field?” Shi Yan’s expression sharpened, then he shook his head. “I haven’t seen them yet. Nor did I arrive via Elder Shang’s usual array. I just re-forged one. I came here to request…”
He briefly stated his intention.
Anliya, Sosia, and Shang Qiu were all stunned, listening to his account in silent amazement.
“You mean… you just forged a legendary array capable of crossing star fields?” Sosia finally asked, her tone serious.
Shi Yan nodded.
“Can you take us over to see it? To see… your so-called Demon Blood Star. If it is truly as you claim, we should be able to meet your requirements,” Sosia suddenly proposed.
“Certainly.”
Fifteen minutes later.
The teleportation array beside the Blood Pool on Demon Blood Star suddenly flared to life. Shi Yan, Shang Qiu, Anliya, and Sosia materialized together, standing in the center of the array, causing the Blood Fiend, Fu Wei, and the others to visibly recoil in shock.
After appearing, Anliya and Sosia cautiously and meticulously examined the newly forged array. After a long while, the mother and daughter stepped back toward Shi Yan, their faces full of awe. The way they regarded him had completely changed.
As far as they knew, only Spatial Mystery experts who had reached the Initial God realm possessed the ability to forge cross-domain grand arrays. In the vast starry expanse, such Initial God spatial masters were few, each an intensely sought-after figure, treated as honored guests by all major powers. Even the Divine Race would open its doors to such individuals.
For Shi Yan, who was still only in the Virtual God realm and whose primary focus wasn't even Space Mysteries, to achieve such a height was, in their eyes, utterly astonishing.
They did not know that Shi Yan had entered the Source of Mysteries internally, and furthermore, had done so in his Divine Body. For tens of thousands of years, only those who had obtained the Primeval Fruit were granted such an honor, and the benefits gained were beyond measure for ordinary people. Fused with the Primeval Fruit, his control over Celestial Fire had become extraordinarily refined, and his inherent divine power was terrifyingly potent. This magical convergence of conditions had forged him into such an anomaly.
“Who are they?” Blood Fiend, Bass, Gute, Feng Han, and the others gathered around.
“People from the Mist-Veiled Star Domain,” Shi Yan explained. He then turned to Anliya. “Please arrange a place for those coming over to settle down. Is that possible?”
“You don’t need to relocate at all,” Shang Qiu interjected, his expression strange. “Don’t you know what has already happened?”
Shi Yan looked bewildered.
Blood Fiend, Bass, Gute, and the others were completely confused, staring at Shang Qiu, unsure what he meant.
“What happened?” Shi Yan asked, perplexed.
“The Gu God Cult from the Wudong Star Domain, the Wu Family from the Motte Star Domain, the Jiao Family from the Heavenly Wolf Star Domain, Fuller from the Earth Mu Star Domain, Mo Di from the Black River Star Domain, and others—they have all responded to your call. They have mobilized their warships and are heading toward the Mayar Star Field. Those forces… are powerful enough to assault the Divine Race within the Ancient God Star Field, let alone just two Divine Race families! Because of your influence, the Ascott and Fernandez families are already doomed. I truly don't know what you are still worried about,” Shang Qiu stated flatly.
Shi Yan was thunderstruck.
Blood Fiend, Feng Han, Fu Wei, and the others were all stunned, looking at Shi Yan as if he were some ancient monster.
“Is he telling the truth?” Shi Yan looked at Sosia.
“Because of you, the entire universe is moving subtly, and yet you yourself are completely unaware. It truly is quite amusing,” Sosia frowned. “Little Chen mentioned that the forces participating in this war in the Mayar Star Field might also include the Heavenly Demon Race and the Bloodthirsty Lineage. They are preparing to completely devour those two Divine Race families.”
“The strength we know of is already more than enough to wipe out those enemies. Someone… is orchestrating this momentum, ensuring that all powers in the universe recognize you, and know what you represent,” Anliya said.
“What do I represent?” Shi Yan murmured blankly.
“You represent the power that can genuinely contend against the Divine Race; it has finally emerged,” Anliya declared sharply.
Everyone present was utterly horrified.
They had never imagined that Shi Yan’s influence could be so vast, capable of setting the entire universe into motion—it was terrifying beyond measure.
What exactly was this fellow’s background? Feng Han, Lin Xin, Bass, and Fu Wei all wondered secretly.
