According to Fang Senyan's detection results: In addition to that damnable deadly poison, these monkeys could also spew vomit from their stomachs to inflict damage upon enemies. Not only was this vomit fiercely corrosive, but it also coated the victim’s body with an indescribable odor, making escape from their pursuit virtually impossible thereafter.

“Their HP is terribly low; that’s their fatal weakness!”

Fang Senyan clutched his mouth, coughing violently a couple of times.

No sooner had his words fallen than Reef charged out!

As he sprinted forward, Mogansha casually tossed a flashbang grenade exchanged at the RD base. The blinding light instantly caused the Pygmy Ghost Monkeys and the Slingers to emit shrill screams.

Under such circumstances, Reef nonchalantly raised his hand to block in front of him, easily deflecting the primitive barb spat out in panic by one Slinger. Immediately after, he ducked, stepped, and rolled, his thick arm tightly encircling the neck of a small Pygmy Ghost Monkey ahead. A dull, crisp sound of bone fracturing immediately followed. This unlucky creature, already injured, instantly shot out its long tongue and filthy blood, convulsing before dying.

In the very next second, Reef exerted force with one hand and used the still-warm corpse of the Pygmy Ghost Monkey as a weapon, swinging it in a wide arc through the air, slamming it directly into the hiding spot of two other Pygmy Ghost Monkey cavalrymen!

The two monkeys, still partially blinded, clawed frantically, tearing their comrade’s fur to shreds, but it was entirely useless against their current predicament. Reef was already upon them; his black lightsaber swept lightly through the night, searing and slicing the two fiend-like creatures until they shrieked incessantly!

Just then, following a few bursts of rapid fire from the Brothers in Black, the Corpse Soul of a semi-transparent Viper Wolf appeared in the darkness, lunging toward the remaining two Pygmy Ghost Monkeys. These two monkeys had already gradually regained their sight. Not only did the Slingers they were riding spray venomous needles at the Viper Wolf Corpse Soul, but they also opened their mouths, spitting out two pools of dark green vomit. Several sharp, acidic stenches immediately permeated the air.

However, since this Viper Wolf was named Corpse Soul, it naturally had no heartbeat, like a zombie; therefore, blood did not flow. Where there was no flowing blood, toxins could not spread. As for vomit and similar substances, they were utterly harmless to something that did not require breathing.

After killing the Pygmy Ghost Monkey in front of him, Reef turned back, only to be astonished to find that all remaining enemies had been reduced to corpses! In that brief moment, not only that, but two Corpse Souls of Viper Wolves, glowing with a faint, translucent blue, had appeared in the surrounding woods, greedily devouring the enemy corpses. The power of the black necklace had been fully demonstrated in actual combat; after Mogansha donned it, he could truly be described as having an extra wing on a tiger.

These Pygmy Ghost Monkeys were typical examples of high attack power but low defense. Fang Senyan was unlucky; he didn’t know why, but after waiting for a full half hour, his leg showed no sign of recovery. The three of them, forced by necessity, could only light a bonfire and secure a defensible position.

The Brothers in Black stayed far away in an excellent spot in the treetops for suppressive fire, sitting silently, leaning against the trunk like statues. It had to be admitted that although Mogansha often joked around, he was completely serious when handling important matters. Serving as the sentry now, he looked as if he were born to be intimate with darkness and solitude, seemingly devoid of heartbeat, breath, or body heat.

And because survival in the dense forest during the encampment had been considered beforehand, Reef had also exchanged for and purchased some incredibly advanced equipment at the RD base:

Besides the latest "Datart" infrared triggered electronic eyes around the camp, DuPont’s “Outlast” water collection system, and the “Comas” triple-layer constant temperature carbon fiber tents, which were highly effective at repelling poisonous snakes and insects, there was also an array of incomparably advanced high-tech weaponry.

Of course, the most formidable features were the small red dots drifting in the dense woods surrounding the camp—these were the markings left by the infrared electronic eyes sweeping the area. Installed on simple, foldable electromagnetic rails laid around the camp were four disguised advanced fire control units—a miniaturized version of the kind equipped on the Hell’s Gate ramparts.

As they moved along the rails, they vigilantly monitored the surroundings with their electronic eyes. Once anything suspicious was detected, two of the advanced fire control units would instantly unleash a powerful metal storm using the standard-issue assault rifles (NDRD-IUED UL Rifle) mounted on them, annihilating anything daring to approach within a thirty-meter radius from afar!

Given the versatility of the standard-issue assault rifle, the fire control units could even automatically switch to grenade launchers to aim and fire based on the size and number of incoming enemies!

The other two fire control units were equipped with MB-22 Automatic Sentry Machine Guns, similar in appearance to the MB-9M Hydra Machine Gun, featuring three independent fully automatic barrels. Their firepower was immense, capable of easily whipping up astonishing metal storms. Because of their terrifying ammunition consumption, they were rarely deployed; however, when used, they could be remotely commanded to control fire intensity and attack direction.

Under normal circumstances, the standard-issue assault rifles would handle warning shots and bursts of fire, allowing the members in the camp to sleep soundly. But once the automatic sentry machine guns were activated, there was no doubt: the enemy was harboring ill intent and was quite powerful, meaning it was time to wake up and pay attention to the threat.

After resting for nearly three hours, it was estimated that dawn would break soon. But at that exact moment, machine guns suddenly spat fire around the camp; the electronic eyes had locked onto targets! Immediately following, the standard-issue assault rifles roared, and even grenade launchers were lobbed out. Finally, the automatic sentry machine guns were also engaged, issuing bursts of firing sounds like revving motorcycle engines, spraying a dense web of firepower into the air.

Amidst the massive explosions and flames, over a dozen strange dark shadows shuttling through the dense woods were revealed. One of them looked exceptionally large and ferocious. Fang Senyan felt a sharp sense of threat, scrambling out of his sleeping bag. He used the Cherenkov Pulse Detector integrated into his helmet to scan it, instantly retrieving its detailed information:

Pygmy Ghost Monkey Special Ability: Ebola Type II (Passive). When attacking an enemy, there is a 50% chance to poison the enemy, reducing their movement and attack speed by 33%. There is a 10% chance to cause the enemy to enter a state of delirium, spawning illusions and reducing the enemy’s hit rate by 33%. There is a 3% chance to cause the enemy to be temporarily infected with the Primitive Ebola Virus, resulting in limb paralysis effects, reducing movement and attack speed by 70% simultaneously, lasting from 300 seconds to 24 hours, with the exact duration determined randomly. Upon inflicting the Ebola wave infection on the enemy, the Pygmy Ghost Monkey also suffers a loss of 1000 HP. This Creature’s Special Ability: Chain Vomit. Can continuously spray stomach vomit at the enemy, causing sustained damage while constantly torturing them with foul odors, reducing hit rate by 33%. This Creature’s Special Ability: ???

After reading the introduction to this creature, Fang Senyan realized he had stumbled upon a low-probability event today—a negative one, of course. Since this Entry-Level Legendary Creature had a small chance of infecting enemies with the Ebola Type II virus, it naturally followed that the common ghost monkeys, although not specified, must have a small chance of infecting enemies with the Ebola Type I virus!

Knowing how filthy and foul these monkeys were, the Brothers in Black, skilled in ranged attacks, were naturally assigned as the main assault force. While the automatic fire control units were suppressing them, Mogansha immediately hurled his Spartan Javelin. Fierce arcs of electricity tore through the forest, its main focus naturally being to eliminate the lackeys of the Legendary Creature first! This way, it could be dealt with individually, preventing interference from other irrelevant factors!

The biggest weakness of the Pygmy Ghost Monkey lay in its fragile HP. Once it died, the Slinger it was riding would feel as if a great amnesty had been granted, and if no further attacks were made against them, they would flee in panic. The fighting style these Pygmy Ghost Monkeys were best at was stealthily approaching opponents, then swarming them to engage in a frenzied melee, using foul odors, pain, and a relentless stacking of negative status effects to literally swarm the enemy to death.
