As soon as the Central Continent Team landed, Zhan Lan had already extended her mental scan outward, simultaneously projecting the state of the scan into everyone’s minds. The newcomers felt momentarily lost, unused to employing mental scanning after such a long break, but Zheng Zha and the others closed their eyes in fond reminiscence.

“Well done, Zhan Lan. You will be in great danger during the final battle, but most of our fighting strength must be engaged. Therefore, Xiao Honglv and Liu Yu will be assigned to protect you.”

Zheng Zha nodded and said this to Zhan Lan.

Zhan Lan gave a sweet smile. “Alright, let two kids protect me… Though, a mental controller isn't completely without power, hehe. At least I have the ability to defend myself.”

Zheng Zha was briefly stunned, then smiled faintly. He said with a hint of regret, “It’s a pity the skeletal horse I brought back was a counterfeit made by Gandalf. It had a time limit, and it constantly bucked; it’s already collapsed into a pile of bones now. Otherwise, it would have made quite a suitable mount for you.”

Saying this, he looked down at his watch.

“Resident Evil Three, Final Battle Directives.”

“If all teams are annihilated, the Final Battle ends.”

“If one team remains, and all other teams are annihilated, the Final Battle ends, and the remaining team becomes the victor. They can choose one of two options: return to the real world or receive the creator’s message from the ‘Main God’ space. Simultaneously, all worlds within the ‘Main God’ space will be permanently closed and destroyed, never to reopen…”

“Survive for one hundred days, kill ten members from other teams, and if no one achieves the goal of annihilating all other teams, you will return to the ‘Main God’ space for another cycle…”

“Enter Sublevel Seven Laboratory alive, remain inside for three hours, and if no one achieves the goal of annihilating all other teams, you will return to the ‘Main God’ space for another cycle…”

“If none of these three conditions are met within one hundred days, you will be erased…”

“In Resident Evil Three, there are no negative point rules, no bonus point rules, and no side quest rules.”

“Resident Evil Three prohibits any large-area attack weapons, including both exchanged and non-exchanged weapons. Prohibited exchanged weapons include the Continental Shelf Oscillator and the Micro-Particle Annihilation Missile. Prohibited non-exchanged weapons include the Magic-Powered Cannon and the Magic-Powered Cannon Modified.”

“Resident Evil Three, the Final Battle will commence in three minutes…”

Zheng Zha slowly read every line on his watch. For a moment, everyone listened in silence.

Only after these passages were completely recited did everyone turn their attention to Chu Xuan and Xiao Honglv.

Before Chu Xuan could speak, Xiao Honglv smiled and spoke first. “The restrictions are quite close to what I had imagined. However… what exactly is the Magic-Powered Cannon Modified?”

“Uh, I recently made some new discoveries while researching cultivation scriptures, so I made minor modifications to the Magic-Powered Cannon…” Chu Xuan admitted with a nod.

“Alright, so the Modified version is ours… Then what about the standard Magic-Powered Cannon?” Xiao Honglv asked again.

“…Don’t tell me that belongs to another Chu Xuan.”

Zheng Zha, Zhang Heng, Cheng Xiao, and Wang Xia all spoke in unison.

“Achoo!” Far, far away from the Central Continent Team, halfway up a high mountain, Chu Xuan let out a violent sneeze.

Those nearby looked at him with puzzled surprise. A young girl nervously walked over to his side.

“There’s a bit too much dust here…” Chu Xuan muttered, then looked at his watch. “Reading it literally, it’s mostly consistent with my prior deductions. First, large-scale destructive weapons are banned—this aligns perfectly with the definition of a Final Battle. Second, to ensure everyone participates, the survival goals are split into two. The first requires killing ten members from other teams, which negates the idea of hiding at the start and eliminates the chance for the weak to survive. Even for us to survive, everyone must kill at least ten people. How many people are in the remaining teams combined? This structure inherently makes survival impossible for the weak; it’s merely an opportunity for powerful lone wolves to survive, like Zhao Zhuikong.”

Nearby, a handsome man smiled elegantly, bowing slightly. “Thank you for the compliment.”

Chu Xuan ignored him and continued, “So, for most of our team to survive, there are only two possibilities. One is achieving victory in the sense of the Final Battle—becoming that singular team, the sole winner. We won't discuss the success rate of this for now; let’s examine the other objective… Sublevel Seven Laboratory. Reaching it and surviving inside for three hours. If we interpret this…”

“…” That Sublevel Seven Laboratory is dangerous—extremely dangerous. It could hold countless viruses, hyper-evolved biological monstrosities, or even be subject to a nuclear strike. How to get there, an unknown location, is one problem. How to enter safely is another. And surviving inside for three hours after entry is yet another.”

Far away from the Demon Team, on a riverbank, a twelve-person squad was halted. The ‘Main God’s’ protective barrier hadn't lifted yet, so Resident Evil Three hadn't officially begun; all teams were trapped inside, awaiting the appointed time.

The blonde youth took a hard bite of a chocolate bar and sneered, “So, the ‘Main God,’ to ensure all teams actively fight instead of hiding, provided a survival opportunity that the weak cannot complete, and a second opportunity where the weak can rely on luck. In essence? It’s just a brutal filter. The weak have no chance of survival!”

“Then what is your assessment, Neos? What is your plan?” A dark-skinned man among the eleven team members beside Neos asked curiously.

“To ally with the strong, of course!” Neos sighed, then gave another cold laugh, taking another bite of chocolate as he spoke. “Our own strength is insufficient to navigate this Final Battle safely. Even if this is merely a ‘symbolic’ Final Battle, that symbolism is for those who have unlocked the fourth stage of the Genetic Lock. For us, it’s still the damn Final Battle. We have no choice but to rely on the powerful to fight!”

“The Angel Alliance? Brother Neos, I don't like that man named Adam. Though his smile seems gentle, his eyes are full of savagery. I’m very scared,” a small, dark-haired girl said, holding Neos’s hand.

“Of course… it won’t be the Angel Alliance. That man named Adam is someone who defeated me in the real world; I know his habits too well. He is the sort who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals—the one least likely to care for his partners... Cooperating with him gives us a near one-hundred percent chance of death. So, we need to find another target to rely upon—one of the three strongest teams in the entire world, a team we have also clashed with before…” Neos stood up and gazed into the distance, speaking slowly. “The Central Continent Team… We must find the Central Continent Team! We will trade one weakness of the Heavenly God Squad for the qualification to ally with them!”

“…Resident Evil Three… the Final Battle. Let’s find the Heavenly God Squad first.”

“We’ve finally arrived, the Final Battle…”

“My little apple, I’m coming for you…”

“…Go, join the Angel Alliance first…”

At that moment, twelve distinct locations across the American continent displayed the ‘Main God’s’ protective barriers. Each barrier contained anywhere from a few members to over a dozen. The Demon Squad, Heavenly God Squad, and Central Continent Team appeared on the West Coast, East Coast, and near the border of the Southern nations, respectively. The locations of the remaining teams were largely scattered, having been assigned to Resident Evil Three through purely random distribution.

“Zhao Yingkong, are you alright?” Zheng Zha was asking Chu Xuan and the others about the Final Battle rules when he noticed Zhao Yingkong shuddering violently. He immediately spoke up.

Zhao Yingkong turned her head and gave a faint smile, merely shaking her head lightly without speaking, sitting docilely on a rock fragment.

…She had smiled, but it was a very soft smile, lacking that seductive quality… “Is that the main personality or the negative one?” Cheng Xiao had also seen her smile and immediately leaned toward Zheng Zha’s ear to ask.

Zheng Zha shook his head in confusion. During the ten days in the ‘Main God’ space, Zhao Yingkong had only appeared occasionally. No one knew what she had been doing; she hadn't even gone to train in the horror movie worlds. Coupled with this unusual smile just now, Zheng Zha immediately asked with concern, “Zhao Yingkong, are you really alright? If something is wrong, it’s best to tell us now. The Final Battle is about to start, and I’m afraid you…”

“Don’t worry.” Zhao Yingkong replied with a smile. “I won’t drag the team down… Rest assured, I will take on my share of the fighting. The shudder just now must have been someone calling me ‘Little Apple’ behind my back… I can more or less guess. Hehe, you should worry more about your own fight.”

After speaking, she maintained that serene, gentle smile, and her eyes lacked the distinct coldness that her main personality invariably carried.

(How strange. Neither the main nor the negative personality… Could the two have merged?) Zheng Zha mused inwardly. Before he could ask further, a significant gust of sand and wind suddenly kicked up around them. The protective barriers vanished entirely…

Resident Evil Three, the Final Battle, officially began!
