Now, as the narrative reached this point, Hark had essentially signaled his agreement. However, the three Contractors standing nearby still seemed hesitant. So, Black Brother decided to press his advantage while the iron was hot. If you want to close the deal swiftly, you first need to earn people's trust. He gestured toward the M-Exoskeleton System Armor that Macky had parked nearby:

"This cutting-edge combat gear was provided by our temporary team member. Not only that, but he also possesses an intimate understanding of the habits of those devilish creatures. The plan to bury and clean up the battlefield corpses was first proposed by him."

This time, Hark nodded without hesitation. The presence of the M-Exoskeleton System Armor was quite persuasive on its own.

Finally, Mogansha pointed toward Leer and Yu Ze:

"These two are powerful Reserve Colonizers. They conducted exhaustively detailed preliminary investigations and have agreed to accompany us. They will commit their full strength to ensure everyone's safety! With this team composition—a formidable M, top-tier support personnel, fierce vehicle firepower output, the offensive power of Reserve Colonizers, and meticulously prepared intelligence—we dare to guarantee the completion of the milestone you desire before nightfall, and at an unbelievably low price. What more is there to hesitate about, everyone?"

After hearing Mogansha's presentation, not only was Hark satisfied, but the three Contractors couldn't help but nod as well. One Contractor, clutching a bow, even called over another friend! Mogansha then proceeded to collect payment and finalize the contracts... charging 5000 Universal Points/5 Potential Points per completed milestone, or the equivalent in trade goods. Everyone found the pricing fair, raising no objections whatsoever.

However, Leer and Yu Ze, standing to the side, nearly had fire spewing from their eyes!!

All the intelligence regarding those milestones was gathered through their desperate pleading, begging, and taking immense life-threatening risks. Now, they had handed it over to Fang Senyan and his group, only to watch these scoundrels instantly use that intelligence to form a squad and rake in huge profits! Worse still, they wouldn't receive a single cent of that money; instead, they were paying these people. How utterly unfair! Was there truly no divine retribution to punish these beasts?

Yet, despite Leer and Yu Ze's intense envy, hatred, and agonizing internal bitterness—making them wish they could draw blades and kill—they were destined never to replicate Fang Senyan's successful model. Why?

The reason was simple: the composition of the team.

While their individual strengths were nearing the pinnacle in this specific world, what did being Reserve Colonizers signify? It meant that unless absolutely cornered and facing life or death, they could never deploy that terrifying level of power. More crucially, based on the current observable situation, Leer was a textbook agile melee combatant, and Yu Ze, with his high perception, certainly concealed his true capabilities by fighting primarily with a pistol. But it was equally certain that neither of those youngsters could withstand the brunt of the frontline assault...

If no one can hold the line, who the hell would trust you?!

Everyone was well aware of the sheer power level of the beasts in this world. What difference did two Reserve Colonizers make? The fundamental law of the Space was survival; as fast as you kill your enemies, they can kill you just as fast!

In stark contrast, Fang Senyan's team possessed the three core elements that were obvious even to outsiders: an M, support, and a secondary M (played by the M-Exoskeleton System Armor). Without a doubt, anyone with a modicum of sense would choose them. The logic was simple: to put it bluntly, even if danger arose, the M, who would be taking the lead, would be the first to fall, at least providing time to flee or buffer the impact.

Here lay a remarkably clear river, bordered on the left by a sheer cliff face and on the right by a broad expanse of grassland. Not far away, a dense forest loomed. The river spanned about thirty meters, but the water was surprisingly shallow, barely reaching the calves. The riverbed was strewn with jagged stones, upon which vibrant purple waterfowl perched, their eyes keenly fixed on the water’s surface.

This creature was called the Stingerbat. It was vividly, dazzlingly purple, possessed four wings, and was sized between a domestic pigeon and a wild duck. The distinctive linear structures covering its yellow chest were packed with sensory nerves, allowing it to keenly detect even the slightest objects and disturbances in the water. The crossed teeth within its pointed beak were primarily used for slippery fish, while only its needle-like tail possessed any toxicity. For Contractors, they were essentially non-threatening creatures—unless their numbers exceeded one hundred.

Visually speaking, one could equate their commonality in this world to that of dragonflies—albeit much larger ones.

"Damn it," Reef muttered from the nearby jungle cover, glancing irritably at his chronometer. "According to Yu Ze's intelligence, the Direre heavy cavalry should be arriving here to drink now. Why haven't they shown up? Is the intel flawed?"

"No, I believe the Direre will certainly arrive," Macky suddenly interjected. "Please observe the stones along the riverbank closely; their surfaces have been worn smooth, suggesting some large creature frequently rubs against them for relief. Furthermore, a large clearing surrounds the largest rock, completely bare and smooth. And in the surrounding area, where grass was once lush, only roots remain—this indicates that the creatures visiting here are herbivores, ones that also snack on nectar. And finally, the most important reason."

Saying this, Macky paused:

"When I scouted the terrain earlier, I waded over to the cliff face and noticed many signs of collapse. The rock there was yellowish-white. I licked a fragment and detected a salty taste. This is the most crucial reason why the Direre come here: they need to periodically wade through the water to ingest rock salt and maintain their bodily health."

Indeed, before Macky finished speaking, a rumbling of hooves echoed from the distance. The beast tide that had attacked the spacecraft earlier did not feature the Direre; this was likely because they are not adept at direct combat. However, when the Na'vi mount them and draw their longbows, the Direre become the nightmare of the jungle and plains creatures.

What appeared before them was a herd of about fifty Direre. They possessed six agile long legs, patterned bodies, long necks, and small heads, adorned with vibrant stripes and mysterious small dots resembling pupils across their forms. Their entire bodies were covered in chitinous armor, extending up the neck to the back of the head. Two antennae grew from the position of their ears, with which the Na'vi connected their hair’s tactile nerves to control their movements.

Because Pandora's gravity is lower than Earth's, the Direre can reach five meters in length and four meters in height. They appear almost intelligent and docile, yet these animals are easily startled, reaching top escape speeds of up to 95 kilometers per hour. Of course, the horns required for the "Penetration" milestone are obtained by killing a male Direre. The problem now facing Fang Senyan and his group was how to kill these strong steeds that would flee the moment a fight broke out!

It was important to remember that as excellent mounts, the Direre boasted considerable defense and vitality. Faced with their ingrained habit of bolting the moment they were attacked, capturing them seemed incredibly difficult. Moreover, Fang Senyan's team needed to hunt at least ten Direre to satisfy everyone's requirements?

Therefore, what was needed now was a trap.

The trap would be set based precisely on the fundamental needs that brought the Direre to this location.

Macky certainly lived up to his reputation as someone deeply versed in creature habits. He had placed a drug within the rock salt deposits on the cliff face across the river. This substance was formulated by Macky based on the habits of zebras in the real world, capable of inducing zebras to enter estrus prematurely—as is well known, creatures in the throes of an estrus cycle often become irritable, reckless, and disregard all consequences. Much like how many criminals are sentenced to death for the four linked words: rape and murder...

Given that Pandora's ecosystem and environment are almost indistinguishable from Earth's, and the Direre, apart from their size and certain physiological differences, are remarkably similar to Earth horses, Macky assigned a seventy percent probability of success for the drug taking effect. Of course, if Macky’s "Beast Mating Stimulant" failed, Fang Senyan had a backup plan—seven or eight "Stumbling Snares" pre-set. By driving these creatures in one specific direction toward the riverbank, they still stood a good chance of trapping half the herd.

Watching the Direre drink by the river, rub their bodies against the rocks, and then wade across to gnaw and bite at the rock salt on the opposite cliff, the group felt a palpable sense of apprehension. However, less than five minutes later, two Direre suddenly let out a sharp, rattling call, sniffed vigorously behind the hindquarters of the opposite sex, and then lowered their heads, slamming forcefully into each other. The dull thud-thud-thud sounded like two ancient soldiers clad in armor engaging in a duel.

Macky slapped his thigh, exclaiming excitedly:

"It worked!"

Soon after, more and more Direre began to engage in the frenzied duel. It was evident that many of the stallions possessed very potent phalluses, and the air became thick with a strong, pungent, musky odor. Fang Senyan signaled Jin Ximin, and the sniper raised his weapon.

There was no booming gunshot.

This was because he employed a continuous, suppressed firing mode. While this significantly reduced the weapon's power, it maximized the effect of delivering continuous, stealthy strikes to the enemy. (Similar to the specialized 'eyr ug' sidearm used by police forces.)
