As soon as Fang Senyan and his companions surged forward, they noticed two RD personnel glance over before immediately turning tail and fleeing without a second look.

The group naturally gave chase. At this point, the speed advantage of the Agile Melee specialists became apparent; over a mere fifty-meter distance, Fang Senyan and his group found themselves trailing behind Yaomeng and another Contractor wielding a short dagger.

But just then, the two fleeing RD members leaped and hid behind a nearby desk, knocking over a row of bookshelves. Amidst the scattering of books, the metal access door twenty meters ahead of Fang Senyan suddenly slid open, revealing two dark muzzles pointed directly at them.

The moment those gun muzzles appeared, an indescribable chill shot up Fang Senyan’s spine. He immediately sent a warning signal through the team channel, and the three of them instantly dove sideways to avoid the line of fire.

The two gun muzzles abruptly spat out two dazzling points of blue light; one beam shot directly toward Yaomeng! Then, the gun barrels quickly retracted behind the doorway, apparently to lie in wait and reload.

Facing the incoming, bizarre blue light, Yaomeng’s strange, ethereal form suddenly dissolved into an indescribable pale purple mist, seemingly losing all physical substance. The blue light passed right through, dissipating harmlessly, and Yaomeng reappeared, though her face was slightly paler.

However, the other blue light struck the short-dagger Contractor squarely. He tried to block it with his blade! That point of blue light landed precisely on the dagger's edge, without any loud noise or explosion, but simply vanished into the dagger as if it were melting snow.

Immediately after, a faint blue glow, indistinct at first, began spreading across the surface of the dagger, rapidly enveloping the Contractor’s entire body!

The man suddenly let out a terrible scream as he sprang upward, his body swelling frantically like an over-inflated ball, before finally bursting apart into a mist of light blue blood! The sight was utterly gruesome and devastatingly tragic!

But before the blood mist could disperse, a tall figure, clad in flowing robes, flashed out from behind. Her face was set like frost, and she raised her left hand. One could see her slender, fair, and long fingers instantly clench into a tight fist.

Following this, specks of indescribable colorless light began to flow out from between her fingers. The light fell like sand, like rain, like tears, scattering bit by bit onto the ground. Upon impact, the light quickly skittered and flowed forward.

When the light sprinkling from her fingertips ceased, Zi suddenly yanked her left hand sharply upward! From behind the distant portico, an RD member let out a yell and was instantly yanked toward them, still clutching that formidable, bizarre firearm. Wrapped around this member's feet were those same indescribable, colorless motes of light.

Force Convergence. Grasp!

Unquestionably, the moment this RD member was pulled across, he was immediately swarmed and beaten into a pulp.

At this moment, another RD member leaped out, his dark gun barrel mercilessly aimed at "Zi." The woman was already prepared; she pointed her left finger! This RD member instantly froze on the spot as if struck by lightning. Blood even sprayed violently from his eye sockets, nose, and mouth, spattering across his entire glass face shield. He had calculated the beginning of his leap, but not the end!

The Force Sting: Detonation, which Fang Senyan had the unfortunate experience of encountering before, was instantly reapplied to this unlucky fellow. Following this sudden ambush, no one dared to be careless. Akaphil and Reef took the lead to clear the path. As they reached the end of a corner, a massive metallic crash sounded from both sides, and a heavily armed, burly RD member rushed out from the side, wielding a bizarre, cylindrical machine gun. The dark muzzle pointed straight at them, and as he advanced aggressively, he violently squeezed the trigger!

Innumerable scorching beams of light erupted from the gun muzzle, slamming into the tower shield Akaphil held up. The sounds of clang, clang, clang echoed, sparking countless brilliant flares—a spectacle both magnificent and brutally imbued with the cruelty of death!

Akaphil was a veteran hardened by countless battles. He could tell that the RD gunman before him wasn't overwhelmingly powerful, merely excellent at timing and possessing the advantage of terrain. He still had several ways to counterattack. However, just as he took a deep breath, a searing pain flared in his chest, and he was instantly alarmed, realizing that he had been struck by bullets that had penetrated the massive shield!

This machine gun possessed penetration capability!

Fortunately, the Contractors behind him launched their counterattack at that moment. Mogensha and two other ranged attackers fired simultaneously, sending scorching bullets toward the fully armored RD member opposite. Cebel roared in frustration! Fang Senyan, however, shook his head slightly:

"If these people could have escaped, they would have retreated earlier. Why would they engage us to stall for reinforcements? They were clearly forced into this last resort. It's almost certain that what we’re looking for is still on the ship."

"Moreover," Fang Senyan paused, his tone chillingly calm, "they probably won't get far. Do you really believe the steel behemoth that is the Valkyrie crashed due to mechanical failure? Especially considering the density of those Bansi Wyverns outside appears terrifying."

Less than a minute after Fang Senyan finished speaking, shouts erupted from beyond the viewport:

"Look! They've been shot down!"

Within the next ten seconds, a continuous series of massive explosions ripped through the air. The explosions were continuous, suggesting that the cargo on board was detonating upon the crash.

The Contractors couldn't help but look at Fang Senyan. But Zi merely gave a faint scoff; she had evidently underestimated Fang Senyan's judgment slightly.

She, too, had suspected those escaping individuals wouldn't survive, but in matters where the outcome is predetermined regardless of comment, the truly clever person knows to keep a low profile and avoid drawing attention or alarm. However, she failed to notice that when Fang Senyan saw her expression, his own gaze flickered momentarily.

Meanwhile, Yuan Zhan from the Illuminati, who appeared to be a master hacker, stepped forward and began operating the control consoles. The sound of his fingers flying across the keyboard—a rapid pitter-patter—filled the air. After a short while, he announced in a deep voice:

"It's here!"

With that, he pulled down a nearby latch handle.

A huge jet of pressurized air hissed out. Large plumes of white vapor began spewing from the cargo bay exterior of the Valkyrie, immediately followed by the heavy sound of crashing metal.

A gigantic cargo container was released, sliding heavily down the ramp. The container was at least ten meters long and three meters wide, likely weighing over twenty tons. Such massive transport cargo was indeed impossible for those small escape pods to carry.

Simultaneously, all the beasts outside erupted into frenzied roars, abandoning their current enemies and surging toward the cargo container. It was then that Fang Senyan and his two companions realized with a shock that there were nearly twenty Tier-Three Legendary creatures outside, led by a Tier-Four Reaper Beast acting as the pack leader!!
