Now that the major procurement was finished, Reef and Mogansa had departed, leaving Fang Senyan alone on the spot. His gaze seemed to flicker along with the adjacent spotlights, and the atmosphere hung in an awkwardly tense silence for a few seconds before Fang Senyan offered a slight smile:

“I still have one matter that requires your assistance.”

The member of the rd company responded in a fluent yet mechanical tone:

“Please speak. But I must remind you, your current Battle Contribution score is insufficient for any transaction.”

“That is irrelevant.” The necklace around Fang Senyan’s neck suddenly began to pulse with a brilliant, dark-gold radiance, and then he spoke with perfect composure:

“My request has nothing to do with Battle Contribution! I am hoping that the high-ranking personnel of the rd company currently aboard this Valkyrie can release the high-ranking Na’vi tribal members they have captured, or perhaps… something that is critically important to the mysterious life form Ey (the Great Mother) of this planet that you have collected!”

The moment Fang Senyan uttered these words, the expression of the rd company member shifted dramatically, and he instinctively reached toward his waist. But just then, a deep, muffled roar echoed from the air, much like the sound of heavy jets landing. In the next second, one of Fang Senyan’s fists, studded with steel spikes, violently collided with the man’s face!

The fist was radiating a faint, eerie green glow.

At this moment, Fang Senyan was naturally utilizing the ability of the ‘Shriveled Orange,’ smearing that repulsive lymphatic gland onto his weapon, transforming his next three attacks into corrosive acid strikes!!

Furthermore, having activated the formatting capability of the Smith matrix chip within the dark-gold necklace, Fang Senyan’s Strength had already surged directly to an astonishing 49 points!!!

A terrifying 49 points, just one step shy of the absolute limit!

This punch seemed to descend from another realm, thundering, whistling, and delivering crushing damage coupled with a powerful knockback effect!

Blood Rage Ignited!

The rd company member had been wearing a circular protective helmet, but this single punch left clear indentations on the steel, accompanied by a sizzling, bubbling sound of corrosion. The man’s scream was suffocated deep in his throat as he was hurled back two to three meters. The weapon gripped in his hand flew loose, crashing to the ground with a clatter, skidding backward. Sparks flew as his armor scraped against the steel floor, creating a grating, ear-splitting shriek.

Fang Senyan strode forward, pressing his advantage with a ferocity bordering on savage rage! He quickly caught up to the rd member and threw another punch!

The result was that the man cried out desperately, spitting a mouthful of blood and teeth onto the floor. Yet, in his dying struggle, he managed to awkwardly dodge. Fang Senyan’s fist instead struck the adjacent steel doorframe! Sparks erupted with a harsh tearing sound, and Fang Senyan casually squeezed and ripped! A section of the steel was actually torn away by his sheer force.

“Did you think you could escape?” A cold sneer touched the corner of Fang Senyan’s mouth. He was now certain that the strength of this rd operative lay not in his combat prowess, but solely in his status! As he watched the rd member flee, Fang Senyan simultaneously drew Ambition. Amidst a blast of smoke and noise, a single shot slammed into the man’s back, knocking him unconscious.

When Fang Senyan rushed forward, even after the rd member awoke, he could only throw his arms up in a desperate block against the incoming fist. However, a distinct crack echoed from the man’s arm joints, his face flushed a deep red, looking as if he might spew blood at any moment, his eyes nearly bulging from their sockets!

Then Fang Senyan raised his fist again! He brought it down squarely against the rd company member’s chest!

This punch pierced straight through the man’s chest, embedding deep into the ribs and lungs, before the full force exploded outward, blowing a deep, bowl-sized hole through the rd member’s back! Shards of bone, ruptured internal organs, and blood sprayed out with a thump, as if a torrential rain of crimson had suddenly erupted into the air!

Silence returned once more.

As if within a tomb.

Fang Senyan then withdrew his hand, shaking it once. Blood and bits of muscle and viscera rained down like water onto the adjacent steel wall. Although the corpse did not yield any key, there was a particularly special silver-white card tucked into its waist. And the Nightmare Mark immediately provided a notification:

“You have discovered a special item: rd Company Identification Card. Do you wish to pick it up?”

Undoubtedly, this was the objective behind Fang Senyan’s savage killing. He walked over and picked up the card with his still-dripping fingers, then nodded slightly.

“So… this is how it is.”

Although the passage leading to the upper levels of the ship had sealed shut, Mogansa and Reef, who had left earlier, were already guarding the entrance, naturally prepared to snipe any reinforcements that might appear for Fang Senyan. At this moment, the two couldn't help but recall Fang Senyan’s earlier words:

“I wonder if you’ve noticed that after entering this world, many things have been illogical.”

“We are fighting and risking our lives for this rd company, killing those beasts only to be rewarded with Battle Contribution points, when according to previous conventions, it should have been Reputation. This undoubtedly shows that the rd company never placed us on an equal footing; rather, they treat us more like gladiatorial slaves in ancient Rome—win and you get a little money, lose and you die—we have fundamentally not earned their respect!”

“Analyzing the intensity of the combat we have continuously engaged in, we can first conclude: these beasts could not have gone inexplicably berserk and attacked us without reason—even if the first wave or two can be explained by territorial intrusion/nest disturbance, and subsequent waves by the scent of blood generated by the slaughter…”

“However! The most typical example is that the Banu are herbivores! While it's not impossible they might eat meat when starving—look at the abundance of vegetation around us—there must be another reason driving these huge, strong herbivores to launch self-sacrificing attacks against us!”

“According to my research and speculation, while Pandora is strange, mysterious, and bizarre, only two entities could possibly command so many creatures to charge in such a self-destructive manner.”

“The lesser possibility is a very, very powerful Na’vi shaman, and the strength of such a shaman would surpass that of the Omaticaya (Miy) shaman from the film by a significant margin!” “The greatest possibility is the planet's true sovereign, the mysterious life form Ey (the Great Mother), whose true form never appeared in the film!”

“I cannot be certain which of the two the rd company has offended, but what I can be sure of is this: there is something aboard this ship that they are absolutely determined to acquire! If they fail to obtain this thing, the beast tide will absolutely not cease; these powerful and maddened beasts will surge in regardless of the cost! And we simply cannot stand against an entire planet. That supposed three-day defense is nothing more than a path to certain death!”

“To put it more bluntly, these rd members are just using us as cannon fodder to delay the inevitable, clinging to a sliver of hope! Only when the true beast tide threatens their lives will they flee or submit, handing over whatever the beasts demand.”

“Also, don't assume you can run wild just because you have that M Exoskeleton System. It looks like it can deliver very powerful, violent firepower for a short time, crushing those beasts into dust, but did you notice the mission hint given earlier?”

“When the Valkyrie transport was forced down, it alarmed quite a few local wild species, so in the short term, your enemies will only be beasts and indigenous inhabitants, of course… and your own kind.”

“Pay attention to the words: indigenous inhabitants. This implies that once the next wave of the beast tide escalates, the Na’vi are very likely to join the fray… those blue-skinned giants with unerring aim and even venomous arrows! As for the 'own kind' he mentioned… hmph, don’t you understand yet?”

“What? You ask about those incredibly valuable rewards exchangeable for Battle Contribution? That is merely bait set by the rd company to lure Contractors! Given the escalating intensity of the beast tide, accumulating twenty thousand Battle Contribution points without purchasing their battlefield gear is almost certainly a low-probability event! It’s highly likely that the ones purchasing the first resurrection pod are mostly internal rd members, specifically to incite us into spending!”

“And once you buy battlefield gear, you fall into a vicious cycle of continuous spending: buy the exoskeleton, then you need weapons, buy weapons, then you need ammunition! Buy armor, then you need repairs! While slaughtering beasts with this gear seems efficient, the increasing ferocity of the beast tide forces you to keep investing in weapons and armor until you are killed! Yet, these items should have been distributed freely by the rd company because we are, in fact, risking our lives to protect them—that resurrection device requiring twenty thousand Battle Contribution points is right ahead, but for the vast majority, it’s like a carrot on a stick, forever out of reach!”
