Fang Senyan leaned against the wall, conserving his energy. A moment later, Reef came barreling over like a gust of wind and dropped down beside him, exuding a palpable excitement. "Boss! We really have to go all out this time! I was wondering why this damned world was so difficult, turns out the items redeemable here are this insanely powerful! Go check it out!"
Fang Senyan was benefiting immensely from his support role. Although his raw attack power wasn't high, meaning he often missed out on the bonus contribution points for delivering the final killing blow, he had a staggering number of contractors bolstered by his beneficial potions! Every beast they killed chipped in a commission for him!
While each individual commission was small, the accumulation was substantial, pushing Fang Senyan's battlefield contribution score close to the top among all contractors—totaling over 8,000 RDA Battlefield Contribution Points. It was worth noting, however, that all contractors seemed to maintain a 'Friendly' status with the RDA Corporation, regardless of their contribution scores.
It wasn't until the crowd surrounding the five official staff members thinned out that Fang Senyan finally approached, requesting access to the purchase menu. The staff member initially glanced at Fang Senyan with undisguised disgust (due to his low charisma rating), but after a second look, a surprise registered on his face. "Well, I'll be—Second Lieutenant! I’ve heard tales of your exploits... Hmph, your contributions to the company have been massive. Rest assured, we will certainly apply a suitable discount on any item you favor."
Fang Senyan nodded, and the purchasing ledger instantly snapped open before him. The first thing that caught his eye was a long row of warnings: Resources Development Administration Disclaimer: Announcement.
Pursuant to Articles 2311 and 3188 of the Earth Interstellar Development Charter.
Employees hired by the Resources Development Administration are prohibited from serving as active military personnel.
Exploration teams are forbidden from utilizing weapons of mass destruction, restricted to combat operations on alien planets using technology no newer than fifty years old.
Combat-capable aircraft shall not exceed: the latest models of the Samson General Transport and the Scorpion Armed Gunship.
All weapon-mounted computers have programming coefficients integrated that prevent them from causing harm to human beings.
...
These lengthy disclaimers existed because the RDA Corporation's primary objective in exploring the stars was resource acquisition, not warfare. Establishing an armed mercenary force was a necessary measure to ensure staff safety. Furthermore, given the RDA’s inherent corporate power, the Earth government prohibited them from deploying weapons of mass destruction to prevent their technological and military influence from becoming overly dominant.
Consequently, even in an age capable of interstellar travel, their mercenaries were still using outdated kinetic projectile firearms powered by chemical energy—relics from the late 21st century. They lacked even basic laser weapons, let alone heavy ordnance like tanks or Star Destroyers. The best-preserved AMP Powered Exoskeleton Systems (the mechs seen in the film) were themselves rebuilt units based on outdated designs from twenty years prior to the current timeline. In short, for the period in which the story was set, their machinery was effectively last-century’s stock.
After reviewing all this, Fang Senyan hastily flipped through the purchasing menu. Despite his preparedness, he couldn't help but gasp sharply. For some unknown reason, the RDA purchase panel displayed everything available for acquisition—items, equipment, blueprints, unknown artifacts, and more—all listed plainly.
Behind each item, the purchase requirement was marked in bold, conspicuous lettering.
Fang Senyan’s gaze immediately locked onto the last few items on the list—these were clearly the powerful items Reef had mentioned.
“Animal Control Technology (CONTROLLED ANIMALS) Integration Box: Many of Pandora’s native animals are fierce, yet humans observed that the local sentient species, the Na’vi, could easily tame certain animal types. It was later discovered this resulted from their exposed neural systems interfacing with the tamed beasts.
"Through studying the Na’vi neural structure and conducting experiments on the nervous systems of various Pandora fauna, human scientists developed a neural control device capable of commanding animal consciousness. In trials, scientists successfully controlled the behavior of creatures like the Direhorse (DINEHONSE), the Hammerhead Titanothere (TITANATHENE), and the Tapir (STUNMBEEST). Scientists even managed to suppress the aggressive instincts of the Viperwolves (VIPERWOLF) and Thanator (THANATON), compelling them into simple, controllable reactions. However, due to this invention's low usability and limited widespread application, the research was shelved.”
“This Integration Box is a byproduct of that research. Upon use, it grants a chance to control the aforementioned fauna (limited to common species), and the energy depletes after a maximum of three uses.”
“Purchase Price: 12,000 (10,800 with Legend Discount) RDA Battlefield Contribution Points…”
... AMP Exoskeleton System (AMPLIFIED MOBILITY PLATFORM): Also known as the AMP Land Mech, this is a medium-sized, single-pilot, mobile exoskeleton armor. The military aptly calls it "an Apache with arms." The AMP stands 4.205 meters tall, 2.83 meters wide, and weighs approximately 1,700 kilograms. Self-contained armament includes: Ceramic Kevlar plating and a high-carbon steel alloy combat knife. Optional Attachments (Must be purchased separately):
GAU-90 30mm Rapid-Fire Cannon.
Flamethrower. Global Positioning System, Forward-Looking Infrared Panel...
Radar, for navigation and targeting.
Health Points: 5,000, Defense: 60.
Repairable.
Purchase Price: 15,000 (13,500) RDA Battlefield Contribution Points.
Unmodified Amnio-Tank (AMNIATANK)
The Amnio-Tank was originally an instrument designed to mimic the womb of Earth’s amniotes, used for the in vitro cloning of animals, limbs, and organs. It has now been successfully adapted for growing various specialized bodies.
The specimen grows suspended in a liquid medium, which helps control temperature and contains sensors that constantly monitor chemical composition while removing metabolic waste. Above the tank are one or more Placenta Units (PLACENTIUMS), functioning similarly to a mammalian placenta to supply various nutrients and bio-hormones. A computer closely monitors and controls the nutrient flow.
The embryo is connected via a synthesized umbilical cord. Electrical impulses are applied during cultivation to promote muscle development.
You can avoid a Grim Reaper’s arrival by cultivating your own cells inside the Amnio-Tank!
Upon purchase, this special item is automatically deployed within your Personal Space.
Should your primary body perish, the computer within the Amnio-Tank will activate, modifying the cells you left behind. You will gain a new life, but all equipment will be lost, and your evaluation rating within the Space will decrease. However, you will then exist in a relatively safer environment for the next few adventure worlds.
Purchase Price: 20,000 (18,000) RDA Battlefield Contribution Points. Limit: This item is a failed product of the Avatar Program modification, meaning only eight units remain.
Seeing this item, Fang Senyan immediately understood why Reef had sucked in his breath. This unmodified Amnio-Tank actually possessed the resurrection capability that every single contractor dreamed of, and it cost a mere twenty thousand Battlefield Contribution Points! Given that slaying one Legendary creature yielded 1,000 points, and the hordes of ordinary beasts were countless...
Upon seeing this, Fang Senyan immediately asked Reef if Battlefield Contribution Points were tradable! The answer he received, however, was: No.
"Just as I suspected," Fang Senyan murmured thoughtfully.
He immediately returned to review the purchasing list and decisively cashed out his entire 8,000-plus Contribution Points! While, strictly speaking, putting in a concerted effort tomorrow might have earned him the full twenty thousand RDA Contribution Points, or at the very least, allowed him to acquire an AMP Exoskeleton System, Fang Senyan spent it all without hesitation.
The total procurement was as follows: “Hydna Armor (HYDNA ANMON):” Named for the series of protruding structures around the waist that resemble hydra tentacles. It is lightweight, enhances carapace durability while maintaining high flexibility. Due to its targeted design, it reduces damage taken from Pandora native creatures by 30% and increases movement speed on the planet, while also providing an integrated oxygen mask.
"All factors were considered during its design, allowing this protective layer to adhere directly onto existing armor."
"Cost: 5,000 (4,500) RDA Battlefield Contribution Points. Cannot be taken out of this world."
“N’Ait Gun (NA’IT GUN): This is a long-barreled firearm designed for high-precision long-range attacks. Its distinct feature is its ammunition, which is made of titanium metal, allowing it to pierce armor like a 'nail.' The Nail Gun is primarily intended for disabling vehicles and certain structures, though it is also effective against the various armored creatures on Pandora."
"Due to the weapon’s astonishing weight and recoil, you must possess a Strength rating of 30 or higher to use it smoothly. Damage output is 100-140, and it ignores 50% of the target's defense."
"Infrared Laser Precision Sight (Attachment): With this expensive yet invaluable gadget, even if you know absolutely nothing about shooting, you can transform into a marksman hitting every target. What you need to do is no different from what a five or six-year-old child does: move the gun. Center that deadly little red dot over where you intend to shoot, and then squeeze the trigger..."
