Contractor 1018, you and your team have been assigned the battlefield side mission: Establish a Foothold.

Mission Briefing: The Valkyrie transport aircraft that brought you here is your only link to civilization. Therefore, under no circumstances should you allow its core engine to be destroyed within three days.

Mission Tip: The emergency landing of the Valkyrie transport has alerted many local wildlife species. Thus, the immediate enemies you will face are beasts and the indigenous population, and of course... your own comrades.

Warning: If the Valkyrie transport is destroyed prematurely, the Golden Side Mission will not be triggered! All rewards will be halved!

Hint: You may obtain the following milestones in this world (including this world and its extensions): "Time for a Raise": You have killed three male Na'vi. "The Fearless": You encountered and killed a powerful Legendary Creature in this world (including, but not limited to, a Tyrant Pterodactyl, a Rare Elite Hammerhead Titanothere, a Rare Elite Thunder Beast, or a Na'vi Clan Leader). Your direct damage to the creature must exceed 10%. "Butcher": You have accumulated the killing of thirty unique animals native to this world. "Plunderer": You have collected 1000 units of Unobtanium ore crystals. (The purity rating of this crystal must not be lower than 16.8%). "Penetration": You have acquired two long horns from a Heavily Armored Horse. "Racial Defector": Your standing with the Na'vi has reached Revered. "Due to insufficient information, you are unable to obtain the details of the remaining milestones."

Faced with this series of prompts, the very first thing Fang Senyan needed to do was clap a hand over his mouth to stop breathing the "fresh and pleasant air." He realized with a jolt that he was afflicted with a negative status effect: all attributes temporarily reduced by 5 points, lasting 100 seconds, and it seemed that every extra breath he took extended this debuff by 10 to 15 seconds. He immediately rushed back into the Valkyrie transport to search for an oxygen filtration mask, and quickly discovered a whole row of them hanging neatly on the wall near the exit.

Fang Senyan was initially puzzled: Why hadn't anyone thought of taking a few extra masks now to sell them later when they became scarce treasures? But upon closer inspection, he noticed the small print on the oxygen masks: "Unique, Non-Droppable, and any intentional damage incurs a compensation fee of ten thousand Universal Points..." Such outrageous stipulations were strikingly similar to the instructions for the Voodoo Powder in the Gold Mine scenario.

It was Reef and Mogansha who emerged a bit later, just catching Fang Senyan trying on an oxygen mask. This saved them the misfortune of running outside only to inhale a lungful of toxic gas before coming back for the masks. However, Fang Senyan suddenly remembered that the Gold Mine scenario might be revisited in this world, and if that scoundrel didn't have an oxygen mask then, he might literally suffocate to death. So, he immediately called that cheapskate out as well.

Once Mogansha understood the situation, his two whiskers twitched. He squinted, looking left and right, and then immediately hauled out a coarse burlap sack and proceeded to sweep up everything, grabbing at least seven or eight masks hanging on the wall. With a villainous grin, he tossed back a quick line, "Time is money, my lord, I'm off to work," and vanished around the corner in a near-instant.

Reef, who hadn't witnessed much of David Beckham's (net alias) methods, rubbed his eyes, genuinely stunned into momentary disbelief. After all, such shameless pocketing of wall space treasures wasn't an everyday sight. But Fang Senyan and Mogansha were used to it and exchanged a silent glance. Fortunately, there were no other witnesses nearby. Coughing lightly, Fang Senyan said,

"Let's hurry and join the fight. If this ship goes down, we’ve made this trip for nothing, haven't we?"

The trio quickly donned their masks and headed toward the area where intense fighting sounds were emanating from the ship. The air that passed through the filters smelled slightly odd, like freshly cut grass sprinkled with a bit of disinfectant.

After rounding the corner to the left for less than fifteen meters, they could see at least a hundred contractors forming a curved defensive line on the gently sloping grassy hill, engaged in fierce combat. Nearby, other contractors were felling trees, hauling materials, and erecting temporary fortifications, or pushing bulky debris from the cabin to form a second reserve line.

It was clear that there was very little coordination among these contractors, but given the spatial environment's consistent emphasis on team combat strategy, everyone was still managing to fight together against a common enemy.

The enemy the contractors faced was a pack of beasts resembling wolves from Earth, completely black with smooth skin. As they moved, the rippling motion of the muscles beneath their skin revealed immense explosive power.

They possessed a snake-like gaping maw that could open to a terrifying 150 degrees, meaning a single bite could inflict unimaginably massive wounds on prey. In the lower gravity of this world, their six legs allowed for incredibly swift deceleration or acceleration, and their green, triangular eyes gleamed with a cruel and greedy light.

Although the combat pattern of these creatures resembled the Zerg Mutalisks from the StarCraft world—relying on sheer numbers—Fang Senyan realized after only a few seconds that the fighting styles of the two groups were like comparing heaven and earth!

Simply put, Mutalisks fought with their claws, but these beasts fought with their brains. Not only did they possess the innate savagery and madness of wild animals, but during combat, they executed remarkably clear tactical maneuvers involving coordinated attacks, distinct defensive and offensive roles. To use a simple example: they instinctively covered retreating injured comrades! This meant that the contractors who had formed the defensive line had so far managed to kill very few of these beasts.

Naturally, Fang Senyan activated the built-in Cherenkov Miller Pulse Detector on his helmet, attempting to acquire data on the targets. His Perception attribute was nearly thirty points, and even though the detection capability of this black equipment was a knock-off version, it was clearly capable of producing extraordinary results when driven by such powerful perception, rapidly displaying the target's information:

Male Viper Wolf (Normal): English: vipers, Na'vi: nnng, Scientific Name: niferru u Height: 74 cm, Length: 172 cm, Weight: 72 kg Strength: 18 Agility: 15 Stamina: 10 Perception: 9 Charm: 11 Intelligence: 10 Spirit: 15 Base Melee Lv4, Base Footwork Lv7

Biological Ability: Embrace of the Stone: Grants the owner an additional 1000 HP.

Viper Wolf Special Ability (Passive): 270-Degree Jaw. The oral structure of this bizarre creature is highly specialized, allowing it to open to an absurd degree. A single Viper Wolf's mouth can generate 4 kilograms of pressure per square centimeter, easily crushing bone or even rock. Attacks have a 33% chance to cause a critical hit.

Viper Wolf Special Ability (Passive): Skin. Reduces elemental damage taken by 15%. The smooth skin also gives a 10% chance for enemy attacks to miss entirely.

Viper Wolf Special Ability (Passive): Flowing Darkness. This creature possesses a highly developed brain and organizational skills. Therefore, they always act in groups, often hunting together at night, conveying hunting information through unique howls and snake-like hisses, supplemented by facial expressions and foot gestures.

This perfect strategic cooperation allows the Viper Wolves' hunting range to extend up to 480 square kilometers. Consequently, their HP is increased by 20% and Attack Power by 5% when engaged in group combat.

It is worth noting that the Viper Wolf scouted by Fang Senyan suddenly turned its head sharply towards him. A flash of venomous hatred erupted in its eyes, and it instantly lunged towards Fang Senyan with its maw full of sharp teeth, looking as if it had instantly developed a blood feud or a desire to steal his wife.

The jumping power of this Viper Wolf could not be called anything but astonishing. One thrust against the ground caused turf and soil to churn up and scatter over a meter behind it, indicating the immense recoil force. It extended its claws and opened its mouth mid-air, ready to strike, its viciousness fully displayed!

But Mogansha wasn't easily fooled. With a raised gun, he fired a three-round burst: "Dada-da," directly into its gaping mouth. Amidst spurts of blood, the beast's head naturally snapped backward. While this attack wasn't fatal, it exposed a significant vulnerability. Fang Senyan deftly sidestepped and swept an elbow, knocking the creature towards Reef.

Reef, unfazed, raised his shield first, casting his ability "Armor of Conviction." A faint glimmer pulsed around him, gathering on his body surface to form a layer of crystal-clear, radiant armor. Then, he swung his light sword in three rapid strikes, unleashing his passive skill, B+-grade Passive Ability: Brutality, which inflicted a 50% movement speed/attack speed reduction on the unlucky creature, intercepting it with ease.

Mogansha, holding his gun in one hand, continued to fire controlled bursts, causing the Viper Wolf to howl incessantly. With his other hand, he pulled out the compound potion Fang Senyan had prepared and drank it. For him, since beastly instinct consumed Spirit, extending the fight made the compound potion providing +4 Agility and +4 Intelligence the optimal combination.

As the saying goes, a master’s touch reveals their skill immediately. After all, this was a normal difficulty spatial battlefield, and the contractors present were all seasoned veterans who had struggled through the spatial environment. They could naturally see the exceptionally smooth coordination between these three newcomers.
