Wang Xia, a King possessing demonic energy, actually had rather limited combat strength. The bombs he conjured from thin air using his yao li (demonic power) weren't overwhelmingly powerful; at least, not capable of the kind of destructive radius—tens or even thousands of meters—that plasma bombs or miniature nuclear devices could achieve upon detonation. The true source of his power lay in using his demonic energy to manipulate high-tech explosives; these were, in essence, external abilities leveraging borrowed force. Though devastating, they were purely modern technological attack patterns. For the members of the Zhongzhou Team, equipped with the Dragon Crystal Necklace, surviving the initial barrage was key. Once they closed the distance on Wang Xia, even Ba Wang, transformed into a werewolf, could easily defeat him. For individuals at the level of Zhang Heng or Zhao Yingkong, a direct kill would be instantaneous. Therefore, Wang Xia's attack pattern was best suited for large-scale crowd control, proving rather ineffective in one-on-one combat.

Wang Xia had always loved eclectic fantasy novels, once imagining himself as the invincible martial hero or a world-saving champion. This was why he had previously pressed Zheng Zha to teach him the methods of internal energy cultivation. Though that attempt failed, it at least gave him a sense of growing stronger. It wasn't until he acquired high-yield explosives—from gravity bombs to the plasma series, and eventually the potentially mass-producible miniature nuclear devices—that his destructive capability truly scaled up. As his demonic energy control was enhanced, so too were his methods of deploying these bombs. It could be said that Wang Xia’s strength developed in tandem with the Zhongzhou Team; as their overall power grew, so did his, because only a stronger Zhongzhou Team could possess stronger bombs.

And therefore, only a stronger Wang Xia.

However, Wang Xia didn't dwell on such complexities; he was fundamentally a straightforward man, a PLA soldier driven by patriotic fervor when entering this "Main God" space. Among all those who entered, his objective was arguably the noblest and purest. Others were driven by despair in their real lives, hopelessness about their futures, or knowledge of the secrets of this space, like Hao Tian or Adam, who sought the infinite treasures within. Only Wang Xia pursued his mission out of the responsibility befitting a soldier, fueled by the burning passion in his chest. In this "Main God" space, he remained the only one who consistently maintained a soldier’s bearing... with the exception of Cheng Xiao, and naturally, the ever-icy Chu Xuan.

So, let the show begin! Wang Xia looked down at the American fleet below. Chu Xuan’s detailed instructions replayed in his mind. First, he absolutely had to secure the Buddha statue components. Attacking the fleet haphazardly might result in burying those crucial parts beneath the sea. To retrieve them, Wang Xia needed to infiltrate the fleet, and more importantly, gain control over someone who knew the precise location of the components—likely a high-ranking officer within the U.S. Navy, someone who knew where the artifacts were stashed. The method of control was simple: after Chu Xuan eliminated Hao Tian, the control device remained undamaged. Finding it effective, Chu Xuan manufactured two or three duplicates. However, these controllers were resource-intensive to produce. It was only thanks to Adam's spatial pouch of supplies that they could afford the extra units. Once affixed, the wearer was effectively a slave to the controller's switch holder. Even Hao Tian, born with psychokinetic abilities, couldn't resist at the moment of his death. This was why Chu Xuan handed Wang Xia a controller when he was tasked with pursuing the Pacific Fleet, simultaneously explaining its secondary method of activation: besides voluntary application, one could simply knock the target unconscious and then fit the device onto them... (Isn't that like a jingle for rat poison?) This was a joke about a rat poison salesman boasting about his product's efficacy until someone asked how to use it, at which point he let slip: "First, catch the rat, then place the poison in its mouth, and that rat is guaranteed to die..." Chu Xuan’s explanation of the controller sounded eerily like that salesman’s method. But Wang Xia was Wang Xia. Upon receiving his orders, he swiftly departed Shanghai. Though he made two contact attempts via silver metal chip with Chu Xuan en route, Wang Xia asked nothing, instead focusing entirely on how to complete his mission.

Wang Xia piloted the Green Goblin Glider downward. The glider generated minimal noise during flight, and the time was the final, deepest darkness just before dawn—the moment of peak physiological fatigue after a long night. Thus, Wang Xia slipped easily onto the aircraft carrier, swiftly ambushed and subdued a patrolling guard, and affixed the control device to the back of the man's head.

The rest unfolded easily. The control device, which even the supremely powerful Hao Tian couldn't resist, quickly compelled this guard to divulge everything he knew: the locations of the fleet's senior officers and their respective quarters. The guard revealed all his knowledge. Wang Xia, being efficient, escorted the soldier into the carrier’s interior and soon located the residence of one of the high-ranking officers.

"I apologize. We are both soldiers..." After obtaining the officer’s location, Wang Xia placed his hand gently on the back of the guard's head. Without waiting for a reaction, a low, muffled thud sounded, instantly pulverizing the guard's neck. The control device fell intact into the pooling blood.

Wang Xia sighed softly, then moved without hesitation, clutching the controller and heading toward the cabin door. After only a few steps, Wang Xia entered his gene lock disengaged state. Though only the first tier of the gene lock was active, combined with his Dominator of Demonic Power skill, it elevated his control over yao li to a new height. As he reached the door, he placed both hands upon it. With another soft, muffled explosion, the heavy steel door buckled inward. The bomb formed of demonic power had easily blasted it open.

Previously, Wang Xia had acted cautiously, fearing that creating too much commotion before capturing a high-ranking officer would complicate locating the Buddha statue components. Now that a senior officer was within reach, further subtlety was unnecessary. He proceeded exactly as Chu Xuan had instructed: overwhelming force over finesse! Beyond the fractured doorway was a standard officer’s room: minimal furniture and a single large bed. As Wang Xia burst in, a middle-aged man sat bolt upright, startled from sleep. Before the officer could utter a word, Wang Xia rushed forward and delivered a punch that knocked him unconscious.

Once the officer was fully subdued, Wang Xia carefully affixed the control device around the base of his neck. He then went to the washroom, filled a basin with cold water, and doused the officer’s face. The sudden shock caused the officer to leap up from the bunk, but his confused expression suggested he hadn't fully woken up.

"Speak. Where are the Buddha statue components obtained from the Republic of China government?" Wang Xia asked in a low voice, gripping the controller's operating mechanism.

The officer blinked, then tried to scream in panic. But what emerged was the location of the Buddha parts: they were housed beneath the aircraft carrier in a heavily secured safe, which was itself located within a sealed room. Without the correct password, not even the sealed room could be opened.

Wang Xia considered this, then inquired, "Do you know the password for that sealed room? If that room were forcibly breached, would there be severe consequences? For instance, would the contents be destroyed?" The officer stammered, "Destroyed? How could the contents be destroyed? That room has walls half a deck thick! It was originally a compartment built to store gold! How could it destroy the gold inside? And without the password, outsiders simply cannot enter unless they use the battleship's main cannons to blast it. Those walls are half a deck thick..." Wang Xia snapped back to reality. The year was 1940. There were no layered, high-tech anti-theft systems common in later eras. In this time, a simple combination lock and a sturdy vault constituted the ultimate security. Wang Xia had been judging the current era using security standards designed to protect classified items in the future; the results were naturally mismatched.

Since retrieving the Buddha posed no immediate danger of destruction, Wang Xia finally cast aside his caution. He hoisted the officer from the bed with one hand. After ascertaining the location of the sealed room, he retrieved the Green Goblin Glider from his spatial pouch. Mounting the glider, his internal demonic energy began to flow frantically. Several plasma series bombs materialized around him, all held perfectly in check by his yao li.

The officer stared blankly at the bombs hovering in the air. Before he could recover, Wang Xia flicked his wrist, sending one plasma bomb soaring out into the passageway. A violent glare flashed from outside the corridor, followed by a blast of intense heat rushing forward. In the passageway, the plasma bomb had scorched clean through two decks, top and bottom... Leaping forward.
