Jian Lan looked at the little boy with some amusement. "This isn't the first time we've met, is it? Weren't you frustrated losing to Chu Xuan back in Resident Evil 2?" Xiao Honglv, however, spoke seriously, "That's different. Back then, I lost to the enemy. Victory and defeat are common in warfare. Though one's life is singular, a loss is a loss; there’s nothing frustrating about it. But now, Chu Xuan is one of us. Losing to him is truly disheartening…" Jian Lan laughed and ruffled Xiao Honglv's hair. She then looked toward the distance with concern. "Even though we non-combat personnel have retreated… Cheng Xiao, you don't count. Even though we all pulled back, are Zero Point and the others really safe over there?" Xiao Honglv smoothed his hair irritably, then managed a smile. "You underestimate them too much. We are the Central Continent Team! Aside from the Demon Reincarnation Squad, you even defeated the Celestial God Squad—even if it happened without us realizing we were growing stronger. Our team is truly formidable. Look closely… Trust them. Our comrades!"

In a distant location, Zero Point silently watched the robots constantly pouring out from afar. As a user of the Gauss Sniper Rifle, he understood his weapon intimately.

This weapon could essentially be deemed one with equally immense pros and cons. Its greatest advantage was its power—an unparalleled force that gave it an exaggerated range, capable of hitting small satellites in high orbit. This very power dictated its firing protocol: as long as it hit the target, even just grazing a finger would suffice; the resulting shockwave alone was enough to sever the entire arm. This was the weapon's greatest virtue: sheer power! Conversely, the Gauss Sniper Rifle had a fatal flaw: firing speed. If a typical sniper executed the sequence of aiming, firing, reloading, and then firing again, it might take over ten seconds to launch a single bullet. While this speed might not be considered slow for a traditional sniper, for a Reincarnation Squad, it was a fatal vulnerability.

Zero Point silently gripped the Gauss Sniper Rifle. Despite the abysmal visibility caused by falling radioactive dust, he could still clearly see the robots emerging from the massive crater, thanks to Jian Lan’s mental scanning and Psychic Chain. There were three to four hundred of these robots, all transforming into various flying apparatuses as they exited the chasm. Although the lead robot was pierced by Zero Point’s Gauss round, the hundreds of robots following did not hesitate, showing no fear whatsoever. They rushed maniacally toward the Luo Gandao Type-3 robot—no, more accurately, toward the location of the AllSpark.

"Hoo!" Zhang Heng suddenly pulled out an energy stone from his pouch and placed it on the bowstring of the silver metal bow. As the energy stone vanished, he had already fully drawn the silver bow, aiming toward the distance. Though his elven bloodline couldn't pierce the radioactive dust either, the hundreds of robots were right there. Once the Psychic Chain locked onto the robots, Zhang Heng finally released the bowstring, unleashing hundreds of silver light filaments that swarmed out and instantly pierced into the darkness of the radioactive dust.

The special ability of the silver metal bow was this large-area attack via energy threads. Against large swarms of biological entities, such an attack was undoubtedly lethal; at least, evasion was nearly impossible against these threads. Of course, the targets here were not biological organisms…

The Decepticon robots were undoubtedly far more robust than ordinary life forms. Setting aside other aspects, their vitality alone operated on a different concept. If a living body was pierced by these energy threads, while it might not be immediately fatal, recovery of mobility would be impossible for a short while. For a robot, as long as a critical component or the energy system wasn't hit, having their body pierced was virtually inconsequential. Thus, this massive, powerful strike only managed to explode a mere handful of robots—a result that could be described as completely not worth the effort.

Zero Point fired another shot; a robot instantly exploded mid-air. But that was all. A mass of several hundred robots was only two to three hundred meters from Luo Gandao. At their speed, they would reach him in about three or four seconds. Just as it seemed Luo Gandao was about to be buried by the incoming robots, the Type-3 robot trembled and rose from the ground. It seized the AllSpark and began moving toward the group with steps that were not fast, but still resolute.

"Wait… does this count as a desire for survival that transcends the physical world? Can a robot move without energy?" Zhang Heng was just about to loose a second energy arrow, but seeing Luo Gandao’s robot running toward them, he could only offer a wry smile, unsure whether to even use an energy arrow with his silver metal bow in hand.

Just then, Overlord roared and aimed his shoulder-mounted rapid-fire cannon toward the distance. Boom, boom, boom—explosions erupted. According to the mental scan and Psychic Chain data, the blast radius stopped precisely behind Luo Gandao’s robot, completely blocking the incoming flying units.

However, it was regrettable; these robots were not the newly transformed drones. They were advanced machines irradiated by the AllSpark. Every robot transformed into a flying unit, and several possessed Phase-Shifter Armor. Therefore, this barrage of heavy cannon fire was utterly insufficient against them. It could, at best, only slow them down, and that was all.

Ignoring the massive power of the Gauss Sniper Rifle, these robots managed to smash through the wall of explosions. Then, the two Space Shuttle-class robots taking the lead began transforming mid-air. They dropped directly toward the Type-3 robot.

"Smack!" With another loud impact, one robot was shot and exploded mid-air before it was even halfway through its transformation. The other robot completed its change, becoming a towering, formidable ten-meter-tall machine. Upon landing, it instantly snatched the Type-3 robot in its hand and forcefully wrenched the AllSpark away.

The Type-3 robot was nearly completely drained of energy; the fact that it could still move was a miracle. No matter Luo Gandao’s skill, it was futile. He could only struggle with his limbs, and Zero Point’s Gauss Sniper Rifle had just finished firing. There was no time to save him now.

(…Save me! Please, someone save me! Aren’t we comrades? Aren’t we brothers-in-arms? Zhang Heng, your arrows, shatter this robot’s arm! Wang Xia, your bombs are so powerful! Or someone else, please, save me!) Luo Gandao was sinking into near total despair, frantically trying to maneuver the robot to break free from the massive machine's grasp. But the energy was simply depleted.

In this moment of desperation, Luo Gandao suddenly saw a streak of sword light flash across the robot’s arm on his monitor. With a sharp clang, the robot used its other arm to block the sword light. Then, the arm holding the AllSpark snapped off with a loud crack. Yet, Luo Gandao was still trapped in the giant robot’s grasp…

(…Zhao Yingkong… Why! Why didn’t you save me? Why did you only sever the arm holding the AllSpark? Why! Why? Aren’t we comrades? Aren’t we brothers-in-arms? Tell me! Why!) Luo Gandao’s mouth gaped open. Due to his visual limitations, he only saw Zhao Yingkong sever the robot's arm holding the AllSpark with a single strike. Before he could turn his vision, the robot squeezed with immense force. The entire screen instantly went black; the cockpit he was in visibly buckled inward. This robot intended to crush both him and the Type-3 robot into a pulp!

(No, I don’t want to die! I want to live! Aren’t we comrades? Aren’t we brothers-in-arms? Why! Why… I refuse to accept this! Central Continent Team… I refuse to accept this…) With a deafening crash, the Type-3 robot driven by Luo Gandao exploded. Having been squeezed repeatedly by the giant robot, the energy-depleted Type-3 finally succumbed and burst apart within the giant palm.

Everyone froze, staring at the battlefield and the giant robot’s palm spitting sparks. After a long moment, everyone snapped back to reality… Yes, someone had died. Ever since Chu Xuan of the Central Continent Team was resurrected, ever since Zheng Zha became formidable, the veteran members of the team had been far removed from death, leading several members to forget... They were in a horror movie reincarnation; people were meant to die here!

"Ah!" Zhang Heng was the first to roar, leveling three arrows at the robot. But before him, Zero Point’s Gauss Sniper Rifle bellowed. With a massive boom, the robot’s chest was pierced by a Gauss round. Simultaneously as the robot was perforated, Zhao Yingkong’s Sword of Vows and Victories cleaved it precisely in two.

As everyone fell into a state of fury, Xiao Honglv’s voice suddenly bellowed, "Watch out! I'm scanning something abnormal coming from that deep pit… Damn it! What a massive robot!"

At the edge of the kilometer-deep chasm, a hand appeared. What kind of hand was this? Inconceivably huge; the palm alone spanned a hundred meters, so large it could only be described as preposterous!

"If any piece of machinery can transform into a robot after radiation exposure…" Xiao Honglv’s voice echoed again in everyone’s minds as he muttered, "Then the largest machines ever built by humans—battleships, destroyers, even… aircraft carriers—can they too be transformed into robots?"
