Megatron's entire metal shell constantly shifted colors, from vibrant to brilliant; yet, this shifting metallic surface was even more captivating than the vivid hues of those with phase-shifting capabilities. When the Murasame Blade swept down towards its head, the resulting blade light, which seemed like mist, almost enveloped Megatron entirely. Then, an ear-splitting metallic screech erupted, as if a wire brush were grinding violently against a steel plate. When the white mist of the Murasame Blade subsided, all that remained on the ground were metallic shavings. Megatron, however, was utterly unscathed, though the constantly changing colors on its body had dimmed slightly.
Because Megatron was closest to the AllSpark, immediately after the Murasame Blade swept through the air, a lightning current, thick as a meter, burst from the ground. This current shot straight into Megatron's core, instantly restoring its slightly faded chassis to brilliant color. Not only that, but the metallic debris Megatron had shed onto the ground slowly melted into metallic quicksilver. Under Zheng Zha’s watch, this mercury-like substance assembled itself into miniature Megatrons. Though only palm-sized, they continuously fired small bullets and seeking projectiles; they looked exceptionally fierce.
"Huh?" Zheng Zha let out a curious sound, then retracted the Murasame Blade. With his free hand, he beckoned, sending a mass of dark flame hurtling toward the small Megatrons on the ground. This flame was the condensed form of the Crimson Flame, and now that Zheng Zha had regained full control of his consciousness, he infused it with the True Essence energy generated from his prior internal force condensation. The sheer destructive power of this flame was beyond imagination.
Even Zheng Zha himself did not know the true extent of this flame's might.
With a soft hiss, the flame easily dissolved into the steel layer beneath the ground, taking the miniature Megatrons with it, without generating any explosion or massive shockwave.
It was as if one had merely touched a block of wax with a flame—it simply melted away.
Megatron roared loudly, the vivid colors on its shell fluctuating violently. Zheng Zha had previously encountered this type of attack from the Red Spider, so without a second thought, he stomped his foot and lunged toward Megatron. Before the attack could fully commence, Zheng Zha slammed a powerful kick into Megatron’s abdomen, the immense force causing the vibrant metal to dent slightly. Simultaneously, Zheng Zha tackled Megatron, rolling and crashing with it dozens of meters away.
Luo Gandao’s robot only managed to crash down where Megatron had been standing moments before; Zheng Zha's power was truly overwhelming.
Luo Gandao was nearly thrown up by the impact, but thankfully, he knew this was no time for dramatics, as countless robots surrounded them from all sides.
Seizing the opportunity Zheng Zha had created, in less than two seconds, he piloted the robot, bracing with both hands to spring up from the ground, scrambling and rolling desperately toward the AllSpark.
(...That seems excessively exaggerated, doesn't it? Such a pillar of lightning would surely reduce both man and machine to charcoal...) As he neared the AllSpark, Luo Gandao hesitated. The sheer terrifying might of the lightning before him instinctively caused him to pause.
But then, several energy blasts detonated behind him. The sudden, deafening roar snapped him out of his hesitation. Without daring to look back, he pushed forward with all his might toward the AllSpark.
Behind Luo Gandao, Chu Xuan stood somewhere, his glasses having vanished at some unknown point, perhaps shattered into fragments during the battle. His gaze remained razor-sharp, but his hair had turned partially white. It looked like an adolescent's premature graying—a mix of deep black interspersed with pale white—and he appeared terribly strained.
Chu Xuan simply stood there, as if an invisible wall of glass materialized before him. The countless energy blasts and bullets slammed into this invisible barrier. Aside from the expanding ripples of the explosions, the sheer tenacity of this unseen wall was incredible. No matter how furiously the beams and bullets struck, the wall remained intact. This was impressive considering that even after the extensive slaughter by Chu Xuan and Zheng Zha, over a thousand robots remained. The barrage of densely packed energy projectiles caused the light from the explosions to almost entirely obscure this invisible wall.
(It must hold... but there are too many of them...) A sudden anomaly surfaced in Chu Xuan's mind. As he withstood the onslaught of these machines, having rationally confirmed their sheer numbers, the collective attacking power was undeniably terrifying. Finally, after three or four minutes of self-induced mental reinforcement, a slight gap opened in his concentration; he finally began to acknowledge that the number of robots was simply too great.
The instant this loophole appeared, the invisible wall emitted a faint hissing sound, and numerous visible, fine cracks webbed across its surface. The entire structure seemed on the verge of shattering. Furthermore, Chu Xuan's hair continued to shift rapidly from black to pale white; if this continued, within another minute, he would be entirely white-haired.
However, during the dozen seconds Chu Xuan held the line, Luo Gandao wasted no time. He dared not delay; the sight glimpsed in his peripheral vision chilled him to the bone. If Chu Xuan hadn't shielded him, certain death would have been his fate. Therefore, he activated the robot’s electric discharge system and, abandoning all caution, plunged directly into the lightning column. With rapid crackling sounds, the anticipated pain and explosion never occurred. The lightning seemed to permeate the body of the Transformer unit, which then completely enveloped the AllSpark in its embrace.
At the same moment, Zheng Zha and Megatron vaulted up from the ground. Although Zheng Zha's strength was formidable, he couldn't destroy Megatron in a short time. He truly wondered what constituted that vibrant metallic shell. The Murasame Blade’s light couldn't damage it, Zheng Zha's "Instant Destruction" state punches couldn't breach it, and even the dark flames and True Essence proved useless. Moreover, Megatron continuously unleashed that invisible wave attack, which, while failing to injure Zheng Zha, was sufficient to blast him backward. Continuing like this, the battle would likely last for many more minutes before a victor emerged.
Once Luo Gandao pulled the AllSpark out of the lightning column, Megatron and most of the robots went into a frenzy. Some of the robots leaped up, transforming into various flying configurations, recklessly ramming themselves against the invisible wall, caring nothing for their own lives. Megatron, after shaking off Zheng Zha with an impact wave, transformed in mid-air into a sharp-nosed shuttle craft, rocketing toward Luo Gandao’s position.
At this critical juncture, the three individuals—Zheng Zha, Chu Xuan, and Luo Gandao—along with the thousands of Decepticon robots in the arena, all understood that the moment was paramount. If the AllSpark was destroyed, Zheng Zha’s group would only need to hold out for an hour to return to the "Main God" space. But if the Decepticon robots lost the AllSpark, their future was effectively sealed. Thus, both sides fought with desperate intensity. Zheng Zha clenched his fists; the vampiric energy and internal force within his body surged violently toward his heart.
(My physique is terrifying now; even without using any special abilities, I'm practically at 'Explosion' level. If I engage the 'Destruction' state, combined with the internal force and vampiric energy from the ring... I can definitely hold out for thirty seconds or even longer!) Zheng Zha roared to the heavens, instantly entering the "Destruction" state.
Everything around seemed to slow down. The fastest moving entities on the field were Megatron and several transforming robots equipped with phase-shifting armor; they had all morphed into rocket-like shuttles. Beyond them, Zheng Zha noticed Chu Xuan's hair was now almost entirely white, and the invisible wall, riddled with increasing fissures, was on the verge of complete disintegration. Without hesitation, Zheng Zha pulled eight small flags from his cloak. He channeled his True Essence energy into them and tossed the eight flags toward Chu Xuan.
These eight flags behaved just as they did in the hands of their creator, Luo Yinglong: they expanded rapidly in the air. The instant the invisible wall shattered, the eight flags enveloped Chu Xuan from all directions. A massive torrent of energy blasts and missiles hammered against the flags, yet they seemed utterly unaffected; the eight banners stood firm, immovable. Meanwhile, Chu Xuan slowly fell backward, looking up at the sky.
On the other side, Luo Gandao, clutching the AllSpark, rocketed upward. Because a robot was holding the AllSpark, the Decepticon robots dared not attack him for a moment. And the speed provided by the electric discharge system was not to be trifled with. Once airborne, Luo Gandao frantically sped toward the plaza entrance. Unfortunately, barely a hundred meters in, his footing felt heavy, and he was dragged back down.
"Fly, quickly!" Zheng Zha saw it clearly. With two successive "Shave" movements, he reached the robot holding Luo Gandao. This robot also possessed phase-shifting armor, and just as Zheng Zha arrived, it was pulling Luo Gandao downward toward the ground. Midway through the descent, Zheng Zha grabbed its arm and pulled with ferocious strength. A violent sound of tearing metal erupted. The power Zheng Zha wielded in his "Destruction" state was terrifyingly immense; he brutally tore through the phase-shifting armor. That wasn't all—Zheng Zha twisted and thrust the Murasame Blade, burying the entire blade into the robot's chest cavity where the spark energy resided. Zheng Zha’s other hand braced Luo Gandao, and with a massive roar, he hurled him toward the plaza entrance.
"Don't let go even in death! Zero Point and the others will definitely protect you! Live for everyone... Go!" With a sharp hiss, under the immense force of the "Destruction" state, the Transformer unit flew hundreds of meters, directly into the corridor leading to the plaza entrance...
